honestly i would wear the 6th doctors coat unironically because i am OBSESSED with colourblock/patchwork designs :))
Surprised Six got a lot of love from cosplayers considering he's one of the most underrated of all the Doctors.
Anyway thanks a bunch Dom. And I thought Seven's costume was hard to put together! XD
While on topic of The Sixth Doctor, you not gonna do the blue cloak he wore in Revelation of the Daleks or the black version of this costume used in other media?

I bought the costume from CosDaddy. I love it!
i think the one on ebay is trying to do the big finish blue 6th. where it keeps all the patterns but most of them are blue which is worn with the season 22 tie and waistcoat or just a blue waistcoat the question mark shirt and blue trousers with black pinstrips
Just to add: One of the cat brooches is actually going to be on sale soon from abbyshot, as well as the 5th doctor's celery and the 4th's art brooch.
People give this outfit so much shit but I personally love the loud colors. I also like it because the wacky colors and odd design reminds us that everytime the doctor regenerates, he is going to have different taste in fashion, different attitude and personality, different likes, different dislikes, and so on.
The black suit is great.
I'd love to cosplay as the Sixth Doctor. He's my favorite Big Finish Doctor (long story short, I don't have a favorite overall, so I've divided them into my top 3 based on their respective runs-- Classic, New Series, and Big Finish). However, finding pieces is near impossible to find... if you have no prowess sewing (as I do not). I have seen some short cuts thought. The pants, like you said. Yellow chinos would most likely suffice. I even saw an article that suggested taking a sharpie and adding the pinstripes yourself, like the question marks on the shirt. In a substitution for the waistcoat, I've noticed anything red, burgundy, or purple would work fine... the gaudier, the better (although, from what I've seen, red plaid seems to be ideal) I also noticed, for the shoes, you didn't cover the spats.
I kind of like the 6th doctor's vervoid outfit because I do like the yellow cravat and I like the purple green vest

I've cosplayed as the 6th Doctor, it's on my bucket list to get a Con photo with Colin in the outfit (me in it, not Colin) 😁

I don't really have a problem with the coat. Unfitting for Colin Baker's character? Sure, but it looks pretty cool.
I may attempt a blue variation of the 6th Doctor, but I plan to just get that coat from ebay, and just do all blue from there...
At least this one is very original. I feel like if I dressed up as the 10th doctor or the 12th doctor I would have to keep explaining to people who I was because for 10 I would just be wearing his blue or brown suit with converse and for 12 his black and red blazer and if you’re not a whovian you probably wouldn’t know them
I personally prefer the all blue one. It's less wild. And I know the doctor (especially 6) is supposed to be wild, but his regular costume is too wild.
