Majority of rentals barely breaking even with cost of maintenance, supplies, insurance, etc

For that reason, you must be willing to treat your rental like a business
      And optimize those expenses.

Taxes are definitly going up for everyone. Ive seen 1/2 the homes drop off in my area, might be the season.
Q: Air B descided to pay me 1/3 of a resolution claim that I saw as an open & shut claim. I have a brand 3m new spa, the guest ripped off thd spa cover destroying the cover in the process. I got estimates to get a replacement ( again, the spa is 3 months old!) they dont want to pay. This is just wrong. What can I do? Get an attorney?

I have a question that might sound stupid, but I’m very curious…
I want to purchase a cabin in big bear for my family and I’s enjoyment. I was thinking of listing it on Airbnb when we aren’t physically there (we would only visit it maybe four times a year), but I am not looking to cash flow, I’m only looking to break even or even maybe lose a little bit of money, because once again, my primary focus is being able to own a cabin for our enjoyment, for a fraction of the cost. How hard would it be to find a property that fits this criteria? Once again, cash flow is not necessary, just looking to own for a fraction of the cost.

Airbnb is passive income for lots of people it depends on the property. I know of many owners that even when they pay their property managers they are still making lots of money and have not lost money since Covid. So passive income still does exist. I mean the owners don't do anything but report their earnings and still make lots of money, but this mostly applies to beach front properties since they always booked most of the time.

@@AirbnbAutomated I'm not buying it. Are you honestly telling me if someone rented your spot for $400 a night for family dinner, kid breaks a $2 glass. You're going to actually go after them for that $2?

Constructive feedback: The editing is very off. Poor choice of music and the stranger things theme is distracting from the core value of the video.

It was actually my idea, and I edited this one myself. Because one of my editors couldn’t figure the edit out.
I’m not the best editor sadly.
