Thank you for the video. I always like to watch a disassembly before I work on something... I was given an NE-522 (Gateway's version) laptop and I put Linux on it and noticed it was a little sluggish. I went to upgrade the RAM only to find out there's not a second socket (where your blue sodimm is)! The solder pads are there, but there's no socket soldered to them. lol I don't know how it left the factory like this, but I guess it's safe to say that Gateway had earned their bad reputation. So now I get to add the socket and hope the computer can even recognize it.
I can always appreciate a free computer... but in the future I'll probably turn down any more free Gateways.

Не по теме, но такой вопрос если снять клавиатуру как показано в видео на 7-ой минуте и запустить ноутбук, то он будет работать? А то ноутбук после включения показывает только черный экран, жесткий диск работает, но вот вентилятор процессорный на пару секунд запускается потом останавливается.

конкретно в том ноутбуке который разбирался на видео термопаста наносится только на процессор, но в нем не было дискретного видеочипа, если он есть на него так же надо наносить термопасту
