Violist attempted to learn the IMPOSSIBLE DUET (both parts) in 1.5 hours

I tried to learn both the violin and viola parts of Passacaglia (Handel-Halvorsen, the "Impossible Duet") in an hour but it turned into 1.5 hours because I lost track of time and it's still an absolute mess :)) Watch my slow descent into madness :))))

In the 1 (+0.5) hours that I had, I tried to work through the hard looking parts bit by bit. I allotted more time for the violin because I'm a bit out of practice heh and it's a different violin than I'm used to, but I could only practice the parts in pieces, which is probably why each part is so weirdly disconnected and why it was hard for me to match the viola part (which I recorded second) against it. One of the most important parts of learning a piece, though, is muscle memory through repetition, and even though I was able to get some of the difficult parts down while I was practicing, by the time I recorded I already lost it because I only spent a bit of time on it.
All things considered I think it turned out pretty ok LOL
In my defense I left my good violin at rock 2.0 and I'm not used to the spacing on this one and this ones really cheap and the bow pressure necessary is way less than I'm used to and the balance is different and the music is kinda hard and I'm primarily a violist and I love making excuses-
Do you ever think of something and think it's a good idea and you start it and realize oh no this is a terrible idea but you're in too deep and it's too late to back out that was basically what happened here-
