Happy Labor Day
Johnny mow
Why no seed box!!!!!
Good luck in 2023 Johnny! Would love to come up to New Castle to have dinner or lunch with you sometime and talk Lawn business/mowers!
Good to hear from you, Johnny. Labor Day came this year, and I always remembered you saying everything needs to be squared away by Labor Day! Thanks for everything!
How do you change the engine oil on these things
I miss your videos man
I also have a client that added a fire pit and 6 chairs. I have to move them off to mow, then put them back afterwards. Should I continue doing this for free?
I would I would raise the price next year
@@JohnnyMow Yeah, Ill have to do something,...5 mins here, 5min there will add up. And a lot of those little things adds up and makes my day tougher. Thanks Johnny!
GOOD TO SEE YOU, NICE REVIEW
Nice review my friend !!!
Thanks
Thanks for the new video John. Great content as always
Thank u
Great to see your videos brother. it’s been a while.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ive had a stinger for 3 seasons now, the front end is coming up on slopes because you have the pressure turned way up. I understand you’re trying to get the deepest plugs possible but most anything will struggle if the lawn is very dry. I keep mine 300-400 and it almost never comes up off the ground. My plug depth is still decent 1-2” even in dry, but we have been in a severe drought here in Iowa for 2 years straight. Also did you see they re-designed the ICD deck for 2023? The 61” will now be a 60” cut, I hope this will cut down on stragglers. Haven’t talked to my dealer yet but i hope i can get a new 60” deck shell for my 3300. Johnny Mow salute!
I like to get three inch plugs if I were to just get 1-2 I would just get a pull behind. I did hear about the 60 I also heard the 52 is not cooperating so I’m a little concerned about the 60.
@@JohnnyMowif your overseeding 3 inch is over kill , when overseeding you should never go deeper than a inch.
I always enjoy your content. It's worth the wait. Thank you
Thank u
Where have you been?
Lol
Awesome that you have gained so many application clients. We love our original permagreen. We bought a z spray this year as a second machine and hindsight being 20 20 we should have got another permagreen
I’m still getting used to it but it’s growing on me
Good to hear from you Johnny. Looking forward to the review on the permagreen. And perfect timing on the review for the stinger as I am getting ready to purchase one, so always appreciate some of that Johnny mow input!
Thanks my man. Hope u like the stinger
Johnny Mow✔️💯
Do you call 811 or how do you handle in case you hot any wires buried not deep
The only wires I have issues with is invisible fence
nice - there aint much of a market in my area... for Aeration
It’s picking up around here. I need to sell it more but I’ve been swamped
💯🔥👍good review Johnny
Thanks my man
I rented the stinger and those are my exact complaints ! the machine needs front weights for sure!! I almost dumped it twice and the handle to go in reverse is so bad but overall the machine is great but very expensive ! what do you get per acre to aerate ?
Are you going to hire someone to expand your feet buisness? And why not get a z spray?
I will not hire and a z spray is too heavy and cannot handle the hills I sometimes encounter
Great video love the stinger aerator. More videos I miss your videos
I will try my man
Love it Johnny. Why did you go with the Permagreen?
Could not get a pathfinder. I waited three months
No chains would be nice. With my 30 Toro I never had to be above 200 in down pressure regardless of lawn conditions, so 600 is pretty high. Yeah that does look like a skinnier tine.
I agree about tine preasure
Awesome would like to hear how you price aeration and fertilizer and what seed do you over seed with? I redid my lawn last year and used Jonathan green ultra black beauty.
I use a 50/5o blue grass rye mix.
Price Aeration my minimum is 90 then it goes up from there.
@@JohnnyMow you buy this in bulk? What’s the brand??
@@TheLawnFellas I do buy it in bulk can’t remember the name I get it off of my supplier
@@JohnnyMow oh ok thanks 👍🏼
What are you using for a nurse tank ?
2.5 gallon weed control empty bottles
I see you switched trimmer lines. what brand are you using now?
Still gatorline swuare
Which brand seed did you use? I killed my lawn a few years ago,but being in transition zone the seed I picked isn’t too heat tolerant. I used TTTF also. Going with it again this Fall, but using a different brand.
I will have to check.
Brandbrug
@@JohnnyMow Thanks for that. 👍 I’m going with a local supplier with a transition zone fescue mix this year. 👍 Your yard looks good
Way to go Johnny! If you were only dedicated... LOL
Lol
Awesome review! I’m looking to up my game in aerating lawns, even though it’s not a big market for it in my area. What’s your rule of thumb for overseeing, pounds per 1,000 square feet?
5-7 lb per thou
would all your customers want their lawn re-seeded? if they pay for fertilizing and weed killer you would thing if a part of the lawn dies they would want it taken care of. Why would you pay for fertilizer then not fix the lawn when its damaged, I'm having a hard time comprehending that. i usually re seed all my lawns that are damaged. spot seeding not the entire yard
Happy fall my man, couple more months to go
I agree but with the cost of seed it’s exspensive
Nice video Johnny. You said you have 28 mowing's and 123 fertilizing accounts? What does your normal week look like this season, are you doing 5 days or 6-7 days?
28 aeration’s. 6 days a week but I did take two weekends and a week off for vacation this year. But all other weeks 6 days sundays off
I bought an exmark one, the one where they bought out LT rich and duplicated it, honestly it’s nice but it gets hot really fast
I like the plug the Exmark pulls. Not a fan of the chains
Hey Johnny, I have a client that wants me to text beforehand prior to her bi-weekly visits. Is this something you deal with? I hate this because sometimes I forget to text her. I don't like the responsibility, but didn't know if what I'm feeling is bad on my part.
I don’t do bi-weekly and I def would not like texting. What’s her reasoning for the text gate, dogs, kids?
@@JohnnyMow She initially asked because of her dog inside the back gate, but I think it's just an excuse for her to know when we're there.
@@lowballerlawncare7961 not my style of customer. I would replace her for sure
@@JohnnyMow so you would never be held in a situation where you had to notify a client each visit before the visit? What if she says its because she had to clean up the poop beforehand? Is there any reason you would do it? I have to admit, I hate notifying her.
@@lowballerlawncare7961 the problem is it’s a bi-weekly plus a call ahead. I have some fert customers that are call a heads due to locked gates but nothing on a weekly bases
