Incinerate is almost always better, but Shadow Claw's much faster animation makes it easier to pivot out, also its adds more type coverage since there was already a pokemon on that team using Incinerate
@@shaneyee7641 I suppose that helps but still; Tentacruel is a bulky boy, so your Thunder Punch is doing like 30% and even Wild Charge is only hitting for like 55%. So you HAVE to land 2 charge moves while Scald basically one shots once Poison Jab damage is added in. And it becomes extra hard if they have Acid Spray and you can’t outpace as hard, and have to eat boosted Poison Jabs while hitting back with resisted fast moves. Not saying it isn’t possible but if they realize you’re weak in the back to Tenta, they can start shielding it up and probably run through your whole team with it.

I don’t understand how he’s seeing so few Tentacruel. I see one at least once a set and GoBattleLog has it as the second or third most used mon.
The two fire pokemon in the back still have electric type coverage, so it is still fine. Just cant do anything to Nidoqueen like he said.
@@Gioluipelle maybe the strategy is the overload strategy that is take out both shields using typhlosion and farm with rapidash and nuke the back
