New viewer alert 📢 came over to your channel as bought a 5in1 multitool few weeks ago but haven't tried the chainsaw yet. That's why I searched for a video on a 5in1 on a tree and your video came up! Loving the channel, keep up the good work. Shall be watching more of your videos now I have a new channel to watch 👌🤘💪
I’m sorry to read this. I hope you find a peaceful site that you can relax in with people you can relate with and click. The potential is out of this world for Allotment sites to be fairly run (not always) keep watching as I’m going nowhere 👍
You're a fun guy, good for a chuckle and for that reason I AM SUBSCRIBING!!! Thanks for the smile on my face and yours and only 19 to go ... probably done by now since it was 2 yrs ago.
Hi mate, Great video Ive watched a couple of your last couple days really good work mate! I got a load of pallets last couple years well about 20 😂 (not exactly 60 in one night! Lol) Anyhow similar intention plus to build a large shed/small garden workshop 15/10ft ish!? But just haven't been able to last couple years just cos did my back in and garden got totally overgrown as laid up for 18months after a spine op that didn't go to plan, had no help, but gotta get it done now(with the way things are and cost of food!) Start growing some food fruit n veg couple small fruit trees in pallet planters and also get my shed/ workshop thing up as got myself a load of tools to do it(I'm a bit like you rather get tools than clothes lol) but got nowhere to put em now so house is chokka! Even back bedroom Lol 😅🤦🏻 Anyway great video gonna knock a few of these beds out once I get the garden cleared of the massive weeds etc so I can grow and make space for the shed! (Had already sorted garden once landscaped it sort of myself patios and path and double decking-reclaimed large pallet type wood! Came out pukka!) Now it's all bloody overgrown where I got laid up so gutted tbh trying to get the motivation to tackle it but couple your videos helped to give me some inspiration for once it's cleared! Subscribed.. Cheers mate👍😎🏴
Mate this was amazing to read! Thanks for the support and I wish you big success in creating your own bespoke builds. Since this video I have found myself falling in love with wood work, and now I’m directing my channel in this direction haha it’s good for the mind and the wallet as you say (cost of living) good luck bud and stay positive
@@diggingfordinner thanks for the reply mate and kind words! And yeah I'm definitely trying to stay positive against the odds, but determined to do it.. Your projects look amazing mate exactly same kind of stuff I hope to do! Anyhow great stuff! Watched a few more of your videos since and really inspiring! Cheers from London 👍😎🏴
Was just thinking the same. Took me ages and I broke several boards. Think my pallets were much older though and screws pretty rusty and often not put in straight.
Good afternoon, I have been trying to find the easiest way, without so many tools to make a raised a bed, as living on a Hot island and very little rain, I am wondering about growing in a raised bed, and maybe fitting wheel casters to the bottom, that way I can wheel around my roof terrace depending on the time of year and what is growing. I have lots of tools screws, screwdrivers hammer, etc however am missing a saw and a powered drill which would make things much easier. My neighbors have thrown out quite a few pieces of wood and a long wood pallet, not the square ones, however we are in lockdown and the owners are no longer refurbishing the house until all able to move around freely. The wood is just dumped out the front, and I keep looking at it, wondering how long I have to wait to make my own raised beds. Also what would use to line a raised bed? For growing own veggies etc I have been growing in empty plastic water bottles in empty juice containers and cutting in half my nutrients containers. Ideas please Waiting patiently whilst on lockdown Have been growing own foods for 2 years not just because of this lockdown. Enjoyed watching and not boring. Thank you From a Hot island off the west coast of Africa
Awesome video 👍 How well did they hold up over Winter? We have a mess of pallets and I've been thinking about using them for raised beds and avoid digging this year 😏
@@diggingfordinner That's awesome!! Impatiently waiting for the weekend..it's supposed to warm up so we will be building some pallet beds very soon. Thanks so much 😊
I often think..being outdoors and doing the allotment is so enjoyable...what would you do if you hadn't got an allotment..I strongly believe everyone should be outdoors..in nature..being indoors. Is not natural..wildlife..natural light...great healers
Nice beds. You could also use angle brackets, which is what I did. It just gives the joint some extra stability. They do cost tho, so your way is more cost effective. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks
Wow thank you! First one ever 😁

Hi Joe, I’ve just turned 60 widowed 18 months ago. I’m waiting to hear if I have an allotment and you are truly an inspiration.

Great video mate. I haven’t really been that activeI’ve been busy with the GH 🙂. And working on its solar powered fan and pump irrigation system
I've never been able to pop a pallet apart that easy 😂 This looks great though!
Was just thinking the same. Took me ages and I broke several boards. Think my pallets were much older though and screws pretty rusty and often not put in straight.
Great video! I’m going to try this
Hi mate, where do you source those pallets from? The ones I seem to find would only be good for fire wood

Nice one my friend so enjoying your posts
Tyler Watchman Thanks Tyler, much appreciated 👍
Does it make sense to coat with polyurethane...is that ok for vegetable garden? Because wood rota in one or two seasons
best use linseed oil - non toxic
Great video. Great personality! :))
How's the hens? Can't wait to see where all these beds are going
Happy days
Excellent bud as always. Cheers.
Brilliant. I can't wait to build a few for my garden. Thanks for sharing!

Leave the high pallet and use it for screening!

not all pallets are made equal... found that out the hard way
You found some really good quality pallets there guys! Are they heat treated ones as well?
Not sure to be honest

Nice beds. Just how I did mine
Omg i love you!
are those pallets hardwood?
A mixture
Omg..I need a box like that...and a drill
I have never seen a pallet that flimsey or come apart that easy.
I have 20+ videos on breaking every kind of pallet using my method 👍
@@diggingfordinner I will take a look at them. Thanks for replying to me.
