I recently found out that those cheap MIDI to USB cables cannot properly handle SysEx data. 🤬 I had already ordered a Teensy 2.0 because it can act as a class compliant MIDI USB device so I would be able to build my own MIDI interface, but then I was able to purchase a Roland MIDI interface for a good price, so the Teensy will be repurposed for another project.

Good guess! In this case I'm using the sysex to print out the contents of memory on the arduino.
