Its amazing to see a video game progress from graphics to gameplay from when it was first made to what technology we had then to the newest one out with the technology we have now. Truely amazing. Video games are like movies now and its like why bother going to the theatre when video games are much cheaper and better. Not to say that I don't watch movies cause I do.

(Beyond) Castle Wolfenstein - the were succesful I think. If I remember well it was one of the first game to have something close to voice generator of enemies. Wolfenstein 3D - Well. It's classic. The game that started it all... RtCW - The gameplay, soundtrack, multiplayer - everything about this game is just perfect. I remember I was shitting my pants in catacombs and x-labs missions. Great atmosphere. And the multiplayer - fast, skill based, objective based gameplay. Masterpiece. Enemy Territory - I played solid 3000 hours on this game. Shame it was just MP (SP part was worked on but never finished). This game still has crowded servers after 12 years. That is saying something. V586 Wolfenstein 2009 - Say what you want, but this game was a solid thing. Long and interesting single player with awesome weapons and combat, a hybrid beetwen moder and old school shooter (did not like regenarating health thou). Some cheesy dialoges and characters but the gameplay made me love this game. This game should be called Wolfenstein: Nazi Killing Simulator 2009. You can vaporize Nazis, burn Nazis, dismember Nazis, explode Nazis or even made them into crystals and destroy them to tiny bits. The bad thing about this game was multiplayer. It was playable and enjoyable through year or so, but then lags. Horrible lags. Overall the MP was a big letdown, partly because the beta was leaked and never finished. The New Order - the game changer. The gameplay is amazingly fun (dual wielding, great stealth mechanics, awesome gore), but I think the story made it so popular and good. The atmoshpere was top notch. Great variety of enviroments (from coastal fortifications, through mad asylum and war torn London, to freaking Moon). But looking on past titles this game feels more of a interactive movie (tons of cutscenes and contextual events) than Nazi Killing Simulator. Sadly, no MP but that is OK. Surely, this game will become a classic quickly. Old Blood - now that is what I was looking for. It feels just like New Order but it has way more enemies to shoot at. Nice throwback to RtCW atmosphere. Story itself is good but it is much less epic (and shorter) than New Order. Solid expansion pack (because it's not DLC). What's coming next? I hope the sequel to New Order of course, but I would definetly want to see another multiplayer title.
Pure awesomeness! I began with Wolfenstein 3d, played RTCW much later, ET was my first real online shooter which i played 5 days the week over 6 years. Now, finally, i played new order. This game goes onto my life since 23 years now.
The Xbox (old Xbox) version of RTCW begins in a completely new desert campaign which leads up to the first level of the original game. When I played it for the first time I thought "wtf?" "This isn't what I saw on RUclips, did I get the wrong game?" Seeing the first level of the original after the new campaign made me breathe a sigh of relief.

Very nice footage and the video has the right length. Maybe you could have shown a bossfight in the famous Wolfenstein 3D because I believe it was quite iconic and also maybe a bit of the castle in "The new Order" because it´s jaw dropping impressive.
I liked the wolfenstein for the XBOX 360..you were able to go around in a city and basically do whatever you wanted, unlike these new games where youre forced to do a mission when you complete the other one.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is still the best nothing can beat it not even Wolfenstein New Order since it looks more like a Call of... Than what RtCW was with a real deep immersion a long story + RtCW had some Indiana Jones story amongst other eastereggs . Wolfenstein 2005 was nothing they should of made the story better not with ghosts or whatsoever + the game maniability was very poor . Wolfenstein 3D the father of FPS ! Can't believe the time flies so fast ... and games before took extra long time to play people were thrilled and took time to enjoy a game to its fullest. I never noticed how terrifying and blood-curdling the screams of the Nazis were in the original Castle Wolfenstein game were until now. I wish more modern developers would take a leaf out of id software's book and take games from their childhood and make them awesome rather than just repackaging the same game year after year for a decade like COD has. I grew up playing id software's entire library (Quake was my personal favorite) and I just feel like the up and coming generation of gamers are growing up to like shit games that no true gamer would touch with a 50 foot barge pole!
