Great video and incredible riding despite the challenging conditions 🔥It was a pleasure to welcome you to our trails ✌
Thanks again!
Just hearing Remy say the slabs are more grippy here than in Squamish that’s coming from a Squamish local that’s impressive itself also impressive all the trails And big Respect to Eric who let the boys shred the jump trail
You said it Remy. We make the drive from Vermont every year, sometimes twice. SDM, Empire and Bras Du Nord. So much fun! And it takes a while to get comfortable on the rocks for us East Coasters. Our rocks are slick when dry, and like off camber ice when wet.
Right on!
Once again I still can’t process how fast you crush these rock garden
Your videos are just the best quality in YT in my opinion 🔥🔥🔥
Glad you like them!
Those trails look so cool. Another Canadian destination to add to the bucket list.
Definitely!
The first track was my favorite. Exactly how some of the natural trails looks like here in Norway.
Kudos to the trail builders!!!
remy is100 percent one of the best riders out there
Woah the woods grow on rocks amazing!
those are the most amazing trails ive ever seen, must be a blast to ride there
Wicked video👌🏻, we are going the last week of September can’t wait!
Uffff paradaise!!! The best video!!! 👌🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember talking about a trip to Quebec back in 2019 during the MTB Tourism symposium in Whistler, it seemed out of reach at the time. 4 years later, here you are and having a blast, that's awesome! Well done Rémy and the hosting crew! Can't wait to watch the other videos.
Hey Gab I remember! Stoked I made it out there and thank you for initiating the conversation! Much appreciated. Hope you are well.
@@remymetailler All is well, merci! 🙌
Amazing trail building. Can see how much effort they put in it! Absolutely crazy! Respekt!
It really is!
Fait Slab City pour la première fois dans des conditions mouillées. Comme toi, j’ai été surpris par le grip de fou de la roche. Une des plus belles piste du Québec 😍
SlabCity Starts 10:44 we visited from the Southeast USA and loved this place. Even have a video of it on my page, although much slower !!
The work and layout on those trails are epic, also glad you havent switched to e- bike. Nothing like freewheeling on trails.😎🤘
True that!
Wow. Some of these trails looks so cool. Take care and ride safe :)
Just found my new bucket list. Thanks Remy!
Hope you enjoy it!
Never seen trails like that before !!! Totally incredible
Always love and admire your style and riding... but this time on my playgroung 😮 at SDM 🤘, on the trails I ride*, trailcare ⚒️ and patrol 🚑... so cool, what a contagious fun ! 😃
Besides, you clearly gave us some inspirations for my last year bike trip to Squamish & Whistler. ⛰️🚵
Hey, thumbs up to Math! 💪
: but so much slower 🤣🤦
The area is so cool and beautiful, the riding is super pro and fun, wish i was there , probably would crash on my face... But damn, looks amazing!
In the exact same conditions one year ago we did this trail and one of the most technical sections was at 20:40, it doesn't like much but from negative wood to rock depression was touchy!!! Some of the other wood sections also going down didn't had any grip tape... whoa!!! It's worth the drive! Even from Montreal!!! HAHA, inside joke!
These trial look 🔥. Mostly natural rocky/slab trials are my fav.
Slabba dabba doooooooooo!
I'm halfway through this video and haven't seen any hint of this wizard you keep talking about! J/K, Remy! Much love and respect.
"This is definitely some of the grippiest rock I have ever ridden... it might actually be grippier than Squamish"
That's the sentence I was waiting to hear since I knew you were going there hahaha!
Remy you live a great life, and I am here for it. Great health to you and yours.
I once did a heavy wipe out on a wet wooden wallride, so it keeps my heart pounding when I see you speeding over these wet wooden bridges 😅
Your silent bike is a treat to listen to 🙌🏽
Good job of your mudhugger too ;)
And the riding was unreal🤙🏽
Wow, the riding up there looks so sick. That Slab City looks like so much fun.
It was!
Opening section of Slab City was like an autobahn through the forest. Epic ! Is summer always that wet over there ? I don't think you've had summer's day on this trip yet have you??
Nah the weather rn is really rainy and humid i can rarely find à day where i can go ride with sun. Usually its like 1 day per week were its rainy but rn its like 4 days à week its really bad.
we've had the rainiest/worst summer ever so far, it's actually a record. It's normally good in summer but we've had 2-3 times the amount of rain we normally get and Remy's time in Quebec was super wet....
Its usually a bit too dry (a bit less in quebec but in bromont, near montreal, it is worse) but this summer, we only had rain, rain and more rain! 😢 Remy, alex (singletracksampler), phil (skillswithphil) and brian (bkxc) were all really unlucky to come this season, the worst of all time!
My family from France are leaving tomorrow, they had been here for 3 weeks and they only had like 3 days of sun (and still had some clouds).. 😳 The weather is fuc*#ed up!
Quebec city gets and average of 290 days of sun per year . Summer 2023 was really hot with heavy rain . Some days were hotter than Miami in summer.
Des trails de folie 🎉 et un magnifique chalet ❤
Thats so next level !!! People dont even get how next level that is 😮😮😮😮💥💥
Amazing ! Really wants to make you go there imediatly. Sweet !
Can't wait for Mont Saint-Anne !!
A lot of faith in the traction on the wet wood 😅
The traction difference between the surfaces must be intense! 🤘
A couple buddies and I drove 9 hours and spent a week there until yesterday. So worth. We get small tastes of it here in NB but Que is just magical
I m here today. This place is awesome.
These trails are unreal
Wow 😧 Rocks rocks 🎉 never seen a Trail like this before.
très content que tu aies aimé notre p'tit coin de pays :)
Not sure if its common in north america, but on a lot of wood-parts of our tracks here in Sweden, people put a strip of chicken fence on the wood, makes it super grippy in the wet
Epic video, thanks Remy.
Glad you enjoyed it
Sentiers du Moulin was an absolute blast!
Awesome as ever Remy
Yall have a lot of confidence in that wet wood. Ive ended up in the bush too many times to turn like that one any wood 😅
so much fun!!
That was sweet!!! Slab City and Wolverine are top 5 of my list at SDM, love that place, but all that wet wood had me nervous for you! lol...
Mine too!
@@remymetailler at least they seems to have put some grip tape on the wood in some places. Good idea
Only issue with Quebec is its warm for two days and thats it. It will rain and then some. Enjoy.
This summer was the worst for sure. Non stop wet weather. It’s usually pretty warm and dry with occasional thunder/rainfall days here and there though.
Moab has very grippy rocks also.
but in the wet this was next level!
Hey the Sampler was just here!
And bkxc a week later. And skillwithphil before all of them. ;)
Wow
How could you ride that fast even it was really wet? Impressive
Love your vids man!
I prefer natural trails and this is some of the most incredible I've seen👏. I've got the same grips on order. I see you ride one up bars. Maybe I should go for them too🤭
Remi “want to take a break here, just want to check the gopro” (but actually breathing out his ass) 😂. Fair play though those trails looked super physical
Out of breath but I can keep riding! It was raining though so I wanted to make sure the GoPro was clean:)
Well done. It's crazy because you still need to ride Granitosaure, Velocyraptor and Magneto, just on that side. I think you should move here and leave Squamish behind :)
This is poop compared to Squamish, not even any mountains there lol
@@keithquinn5624 but we have better baguette. that's a plus for Remy.
@@SofaDanslBois not even that unfortunately, lots of good bakeries everywhere nowadays!
Wow, those have got to be some of the coolest f*cking trails I've ever seen. Thanks for posting! 🤙
Glad you enjoyed!
Love the vids!
Remy, there is Magneto and velocirator on that mountain that you should do ,very technical. Don't forget to try king kong next time on the main location. thank you for sharing your rides.
Maybe I have filmed it for the next video:)
I fell once on a wooden portion during a solo ride in the forest. It was raining that day. There is no traction on boardwalks and they scare me too. I was ok and finished my ride but I had to have my hip drained.
ouch
“Definitely a bit nervous when I get onto the wood” - that’s what she said!
Does a French turn
Remy: "Yeah dude!"
Yeah !!
Statistically , Quebec city gets 290 days of sun every year . Summer 2023 was the hottest and humide.
What trail was your favorite in quebec and witch place you like most? E47 or sdm
I loved both. I like to jump, but SDM was more "epic". Le Massif was a very good surprise, so was VBN!
Sick! thank for responding to my comment
Slabtacular!
I wish to riding bike just like you!!!
C'est déjà compliqué comme ça mais alors là sur sol mouillé … 🤪🤪😱😱 même pas j'aurais essayé.
Mont Ste-Anne next...yeehaa !
Beautiful down hill MTB route, enjoy, new sub here 22:56
wowwww.🔥💯🚀
C'est le fun de te voir rouler où je roule le plus souvent. Wolverine c'est un peu tough pour moi, mais Haute Maelstrom et Slab City sont toujours le fun. Lâche pas!
Hey man, sick video. Would you happen to have the link to the cabin you stayed in while there?
fresh reemmmyyyyyy
Well, I now have a step program:
Step one: Cardio and weight loss
Step two: New bike
Step three: Renew passport
Step four: Get time off from work.
Step five: Drive to Quebec
Step six: Learn how not to be a jerk to Canadian Customs Officers (Yeah, not exactly a high point in my life when I almost got deported at Trudeau Airport)
Wondering about your grips and saddle. is this custom for you or something Ergon are bringing out later? Can you say? I'm a big fan of their products.
That is the GE1 Factory and SM Enduro seat. The logo is different for athletes but that's about it!
Criss .. faut du cardio pour cette piste :P
Woow!
Hi Remy, thanks for the amazing video as always. Can you remind me of the name of that place you stayed at?? I want to take my wife there for our anniversary.
The Kolmar
@@remymetailler thanks for that and for the quick reply.
You should come to Ottawa at some point, Camp Fortune and Mont Sainte Marie await you. And if you are for some non dh suffering - we have SMH 👍
PS we love to ride SDM & VBN too, but not as wet… 🤭
Remy, whats the name of the cottage where you stayed?
Sentiers du Moulin / Le Mastroem
Excellente. Maybe one day you ride in the front.. I would like to see how you ride.
I have plenty of shredit and some drone video where it's focused on my riding!
really wishing i could dip out of this pitiful break room and hop on my bike after watching this
Soon
Are there shuttles or do you have to climb yourself?
No you have to pedal
what would you saa makes propain such an amazing bike?
Balanced, great geometry, fun, efficient, well thought out. Propain Bikes: bit.ly/3JxpkuN
@@remymetailler ok, thanks a lot i am thinking about getting one of ther dh bikes and enduro bikes and i wanted you thoughts about the bike. thankyou
hmm ... wasn't not prompted for discount code during checkout ... :(
You can add a code before check out. Did that work?
Why do you not ride with gloves?
I'm out of stock
This looks like a paim in the crotch😅 how do you ride lile this, i can't even ride properly on a straight road
Am I the only one concerned that the dog may have been trying to find help for it's injured owner? If I was out there and a random dog came up to me barking I would follow it.
don't worry the owner was right behind, hiking
@@remymetailler I must have blinked or looked away for a second and didn't see him.
THATS ROCK CLIMBING NOT MOUNTAIN BIKING..
It is amazing how you guys ride on this wet, slippery trail. Like it was dry. Beside skills, how doesn't your bike slip out under you? Is it the good tires? Sorry if my question is silly, but I know how mean rocks and roots are when there was rain, and I have no experience with DH tires and wheels bigger than the good old 26. Keep on rollin!
Which photocromatic glasses do you wear Remy?
that was a 0 lens from Julbo
