Get rid of those front spring hangers and modify them... they will crack on the piss poor welds..i learnt the hard way...great vid ...very educational...thanks...
Awesome Ep and awesome tips and amazing prep you guys put in well done, . 80% of people have no idea how hard the black top and that northern country is on gear in a short time, I must say I love High Tensile Bolts and Ubolts and prefer double lock nuts myself over Nylex nuts if I can fit them on. otherwise Nylex it is
Bloody love the way you do the show. No bullshit content. Great to see your own trailer setup. Have definitely destroyed a bit of gear and modified my setup to make it work. Can’t wait to see the next trip up north.
Thanks we got a good crew this year I’m very excited to be going with the wife for 3 weeks and the boys going in their own boat together thanks for watching
I built my own steel RHS trailer for the NT roads recently. Every thing is double u-bolts utilising 5/8 high tensile u-bolts and shackle spring keeper plates underneath the u-bolts connected to them to spread the load across rhe support or chassis. Adds weight, but The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten. More so whennyour laying on the side of a dirt road in the buildup.
Thanks mate, good video. Really good tips on identifying the weak points on the trailer. That boy of yours is spoiled by his mum…doing a boat fit out is next level.
@@thumburnfishing the axle is weird as well thought they would want more clearance being an off-road trailer , hopefully when your done modding it it will be stronger
I have no doubt lots of fab shops build them I can build one also time was a factor here just a base trailer that we can use until we build our own for 20 years of use
You’re a legend mate. I was actually looking into this one. Very educational.

Sounds like you have seen the corrugated carnage before 👍 yep seen that too

Exactly what they call off road is certainly not off road quality
@@thumburnfishing So true,

Absolutely poor man buys it twice

Yeah Rach loves getting involved in all our builds and projects our family does everything together
Can’t wait for the trip mate, gunna be a fat time!!!!!
Definitely looking forward to it
The winch post is not braced strong enough. Corrugated roads cause boats to move forward.
Exactly thanks for watching
great video
Thanks for watching
Bloody great video , yer bloody trailers these day are made for a price but that’s some shithouse quality on the bolts , cheers for the video
It’s a shame that they call it a premium product but actually they are all average build quality

Adam Krogh from Townsville would of made a 💯 Alloy quality guaranteed

Great comments guys 👍🇦🇺
Thanks for watching
Another unreal video. They’re built for the concrete cowboys for their 1 trip a year not for consistent use that’s for sure.
Exactly thanks for watching
