I cried just a bit hearing. Remember watching Toby at Camp Dwyer Helmand in 2010 as he performed Red White and Blue and Beer for My Horses. Not everyone would come out to the middle of the then worst fighting in Afghanistan with their band to perform for a handful of troops but he did.
I’ll always tell my son there’s a lot of ways to serve the country and seeing him out in the middle of no where at Dwyer was definitely service. Lot of ways to serve.

love this song. My pap and I loved this song. He used to tell my mom he was driving me down the road on his fourwheeler to my grandmother's house and instead he'd drive me to the small bar down the road and buy me chips and a pepsi while he had a beer. He was a tough old biker but the sweetest man to me. He passed from cancer in '07.

I was a Daddy's girl and always said I'd wait until I found a guy as good as my Daddy before I got married. He only went to the 8th grade, started working at 13 with his daddy and grandpa in their residential painting business, married my mother when they were both 19, bought their first house at 25, owned his own painting business with 7-8 employees, retired at age 70, endured losing my little sister in 2014 to pancreatic cancer, recovered from his own cancer (lymphoma) after chemo and radiation and died with my mother by his side after 59 years of marriage. He will always be one of the best men I've ever known.

Part of being a colony of England,but anyway im rambling. He came up in my recommendations about three years ago with that Bar fight video and was on my favourite list. Then i heard he'd passed away, which was kinda sad. But I think he would have liked to have known he reached to the other side of the world and even the one downunder and had a fan. Happy for him

Toby never played for OU. Toby is a huge OU fan and he did play semi pro football. He quit because, in his words, semi pro means semi pay.
My brother got a scholarship to OU to play for the Sooners but unfortunately quickly got too injured and couldn't play anymore. This was about 20 years ago (I was like 6 but he was the age I am now, 27) and everything he has is still Sooners. He and my mom both went there, but my mom was working for her Masters and PhD in Psychology, working under Dr Cox (pretty famous in the psychology world). The amount of times I slept in her office lol she told me if I was interested in Psych when I was an adult, she would pull some strings and get me in. I live in Vegas now but I still consider moving to Oklahoma to go to OU. It's the only university I've ever wanted to go to. Hopefully my fiance would be cool with moving lol
