disagree, it's too heavy. You can hear is creaking away every time they move. Wood is extremely heavy, and to use the much of it is in excess of the limits of that van. I would bet the tires are over there limit as well. Not mention those sliders for the bed and the storage under them will surely fail, you can hear them failing as he pulls them out (I have had to replace 100's of them the past) and they don't have any support poles to assist the sliders when they do pull them out to take the weight off them.

It is important to access the hardware under the bed and so to be able to slide this stuff is ideal but maybe as you say not for a 'roll in the hay' so to speak. BUT this got views for the unique concept whether they actually sleep outside sans support poles, only do they know.

Yes! A build who recognizes the front of the van as the "living room" - so many builds disregard the front area as liveable space. I mean the two front seats are kind of like 2 recliners. They will be the most comfortable seats in the house. Beautiful build!

I love everything except from the lack of head space on the bed. I think I'd need to be able to sit up straight at least.
Beautiful. Of all the things, the wood art trim around the windows was my favorite. I can just imagine having our coffee and looking out at the Rocky Mountains through that window. Thank you for the tour of your inspirational home.
They should add some fold down legs for that sliding bed,they weaken over time.
@WhoWouldJesusBomb They get onto the bed from the inside,and slide it out,all that weight is going to slowly weaken the support channels and destabilise the rollers,seen it happen before,on a smaller tray with lots of weight on it.
@@Andy_M986 Nah, these things are good for 250kg with about 100,000 actuations at full weight. Cheap slides won't manage it, but Accuride etc will be fine. They're made for mission critical stuff.

Gotta be honest, I thought the shower was super tiny until he stepped in.
we haven't been sure about the size neither...
But once the shower has been finished we realized it's more then enough space!
@@MALEXWORLD Is it possible to shower with the slider open with some care and your significant other helping to scrub you up and down and all around? Seems as if there could be a way to accommodate such a pleasant concept. Have you both been in there showering each other, just asking here, no preconceived notions intended.
@@claztube I have lived on the road for over three years. You need a big water tank, shower and composting toilet. Of course a cooking area with cold storage is essential, too. The size of the shower does not matter...but these are the things that keep you human. Therefore, you have to go light with the rest of the build. I would be interested to know the weight loaded.
But...it is breathtakingly beautiful!

This is a message to young people, do not listen to older people telling you to buy a house you have to have a job to be happy. I am watching this and crying literal tears of joy for them and sorrow me and people just me who waited too long and are too sick to do this in their lifetime now.
My brother lived more by the age of 28 when he died then I have at the age of 50. I started to travel in my thirties but I got sick in my forties and it's been very challenging since.
I’m 65 and disabled I want to get rid of most of my bills and live on the road . Working to pay HOA is killing me . I want freedom
Da habt ihr euch ja einen sehr schönen Wagen gebaut. Die Tische finde ich sehr schick. Mir persönlich wäre das Bett zu hoch, ich würde halt in der Garage eine Kistenhöhe einsparen. Das sieht alles sehr massiv aus. Was wiegt denn das Fahrzeug?
Wenn es nach dem Kistensystem gegangen wäre hätten wir das Bett auch tiefer eingebaut...
Doch in unserem Fall waren die Bikes auf dem Auszug die ausschlaggebende Höhe.
Denn die wollten wir definitiv im Fahrzeug / Garage verstauen.
Wir wussten zu Beginn auch nicht wie sich das mit der Höhe ``anfühlen`` wird, doch besonders durch die große Dachluke haben wir nicht das geringste Gefühl von Enge! Wirklich besser als wir es im ersten Moment erwartet hätten...
Voll beladen sind wir bei 3,4 T :)
This is by far the most amazing van I've ever seen. Max and Alex have made proper use of each and every space. I would sure love to own a van just like this.
If you're sleeping outside, make mesh tent that covers the bed so you're protected a bit from bugs :)
The interior is absolutely gorgeous! Not a single thing that I didn't love.
Safe is not safe anymore if you tell everyone where it is!
if secrecy is the only protection, it's not safe, it's hiding place.
@@MrFateTube Secrecy shouldn't be the only protection, it should be locked and hidden. Any safe that can be seen can be opened if the thief is motivated enough. Especially with an exposed lock like that, a prepared thief can break in there in minutes and be gone.
@@TheHippieGeeks why would thieves want to steal the passport and documents? It's only important to the owners but useless for the thieves. I think if they can break into the van they are more likely to take the van anyways.
@@HangTran-kv4rx The thieves have no idea what is in the lock box, just that they know that is there. If it gets broken into, they are going to snatch whatever is in there and go. I am not saying that the safe is a terrible idea, just that it should not be so visible. If someone is willing to break into a vehicle, they are absolutely break into a visible lock box if they can and steal whatever is in it.
What happens if someone steals the whole van? 😆

No one but me will care about this, but the calm, soothing background music that plays during this video is a welcome relief from some of the BOOM BOOM BOOM racket that is on so many of the other van tour videos.

Mein Bus ist gerade fertig geworden. Und will Dir hier zeigen wie es auch geht.
Im Frühling machbichvauch mal ein Video für meinen Kanal.
Ich hab lange überlegt, bevor ich angefangen habe meinen Citroen Jumper L2H1 zum Mohnmobil auszubauen. Ich wollte alle Möbelteile mit einem Laser ausschneiden lassen nachdem ich präzise gemessen, gezeichnet habe und dann Laserschneiden lassen habe.
Ich hab 14 Platten Birkensperrholz 2,5x1,25 Meter 9mm dick verarbeitet. Kostenpunkt 568 Euro
Das Laserschneiden hat dann nochmal 686 Euro gekostet.
Es waren 156 Einzelteile und der Zusammenbau hat dann lediglich 3 Wochen gedauert. für den Einbau in den Kastenwagen hab ich nochmal 6 Wochen gebraucht.
Ich würde es immer wieder so machen. Es ist kostengünstig und super Präzise und relati leicht.
Alle Möbel sind nur verklebt mit Cyanacrylat Kleber(Sekundenkleber) die schlitz und Zapfen Konstruktion erzeugt eine riesige Klebefläche. Ich habe nicht eine einzige Schraube für das verbinden der Möbelteile benötigt. Beschläge natürlich geschrschraubt.
Es ist Suuuuper stabil geworden.
Gewicht des Holzes 140 kg (alle 156 Teile komplett ausgeschnitten vor dem Zusammenbau).

Nur am Rande:
Ich kann in dem Bus ein ausgewachsenes 1200 cc BMW Boxermotorrad sicher transportieren.
Dazu wird das Bett komplett incl. Bettdecke, Kopfkissen, Pyjama, Kuscheltieren an die Decke gezogen.
Es sind unter dem Bett 10 Euronorm Boxen und ein riesen Stauraum mit Schiebetüren.
In den Möbeln befinden sich 10 Schubladen mit Vollauszug.
Es gibt 18 Saufächer mit Klappen. Und ein Staufach in einer Euro Norm Box unter dem Sitz im Salon.
Eingebaut ist ein 45 Liter Kompressor-Kühlschrank.

Frischwasser im 60 Liter Edelstahltank geschmacksneutral unter Flur

Seems cool but it's a gimmick. I doubt it will get used much. Who wants to sleep out in the open? I guess if it was super warm, super quiet, no bugs and no people, but good luck finding that scenario.
This is by far one of my favorite van builds I have seen.
I have seen a lot of people on their van builds sacrifice a shower/toilet area and that would be a must have for me in my van especially when you are living in a van full time.
I arguably don’t think that anything was sacrificed in this van. However I know some people would say a seating area was sacrificed. However to me you can sit on the bed and the two swivel sits turn around in this van
I really love the kitchen as well. The only thing I would have added is maybe a little more storage. There is a little more room to do so I think and I wouldn’t have the counters sticking out so far and taking up that walking space.
This would definitely be my ideal layout in a van I build for full time use and living.

We are newly married couple. My wife is 7 months pregnant. Just took her break from work. Maternity leave. She will not work for 3 years. And i need a miracle vehicle like yours to convince her to travel. She says i have a bug for adventure and she feels it ia not a logical plan for a wife and children saying travelling is stressful. I could only convince her with a product like this. 😭
Traveling with husband and baby works well.
We did it. ENJOY momma. It is so worth it. They grown up so fast. So please travel. You will love it.

Nice design, layout, material, stoarage space...but the bed is too high, you can't even sit on the bed with your head up, what if you want to play on the bed?
We thought about it at the beginning as well, but since we definitely want our bikes to store inside on the slider system we had to lift up the bed to that hight.... Actually it's just perfect (for us) because off our sit-/ Lounge Area in the front (swivel seats).

I like how you managed the interior, quite briliant. The only adjustment that I would do would be to put the sink next to the gas burner and maybe to make the bathroom a little bigger. But overall is amazing, well done guys ;)
If a custom tent can be made that's 99% water/wind proof and wraps around the bed as it's hanging outside. That would kill.
Surely that defeats the point of sleeping outside under the stars? You'd likely only really do that in hot European summers when there's no chance of rain...

It has the feel of a sailboat with all that wood....love all the windows. I would have a collapsible basin 4 washing dishes ..don't like spitting in the kitchen sink. The decor is stunning though.
Use a jam jar next to the sink as a Spitoon☺
it was one off our main targets to feel connected to the nature and surrounding, that's why we installed all those windows and YES it's been one of the best decisions! Ready to Sail the roads around the globe ;)

Loved that conversation. But it would have been better if that bed was little lower to actually sit there properly.
I thought the same thing. Love this build though as I’m partial to wood, including the rough edge in the kitchen window. But seeing her sit on the bed tilting her neck, that hurt.

Best conversion I’ve seen yet.
It's pretty and it works for you...but....anyone thinking of doing a conversion should take into account how much heat is lost/gained via all those windows. Glass is the biggest thermal bridge in a van build. Try sitting inside a minibus on a hot day with the door closed. Or a cold day with the engine turned off. If it works for you then great ...just think about it before you buy a bus. Happy travels everyone. John

I see tons of different conversions and many like this one look fab and work fab for the owners..but...some fundamental considerations can make a huge difference to many. Glass is cold/hot and forms condensation. Ambulances are attractive to many but are commonly heavily built to start with so are high on fuel consumption.....so high that owners can't make use of them anywhere near as much as they wanted to. Luton bodies are known for leaks etc. Internal height and length are often decided upon more by how a non van driver conceives the driving difficulty as opposed to true benefit to the conversion comfort. Vans are easy to drive and much more like cars than many imagine. I would advise hiring one similar to your proposed project for a weekend and rough camping in it to try the volume out. Hope this helps someone. John

This van is so beautiful!! The wood is gorgeous. A lot of thought, creativity & time has gone into this van. Better than my flat haha :D Would love the nomad van lifestyle & travel across Europe but be able to create music & maybe even stop at random places & DJ lol & after seeing how this van has been built, that actually seems possible :)
