To me, he was the best ever. I like some of the new guys, but none are like Tony. The few times I got to speak to him were amazing. He always bragged on Wyatt or the guys in the band. Find memories for me.

Wyatt is one hell of a guy too! He did a lot for me growing up! Took me to many TRU shows including IBMA. I am good friends with his boys Jared and Jordan. Wyatt and Tony have had a huge impact on my life and I hope Wyatt knows how much I appreciate him!

Tony could really take off in any direction he wanted to because of Wyatt who is one of the most criminally underrated flat pickers out there. He was Tony's main rhythm player. Thank You Bluegrass Farmer for taking the time to share this with us.

Like I mentioned in the video, I've seen hundreds of Tony Rice videos on RUclips, but not one like this. I feel it's a “one of a kind” video. Again, I appreciate your comments and for you finding this channel. Be sure to tell our Northern Bluegrass friends about this channel and be sure to check back from time to time. I'll have more videos coming out soon that may prove interesting. Take care and feel free to stop by anytime. You're always welcome here.

As an ex (thanks to 5 strokes) heavy metal/rock guitarist I feel I've missed so much in not seeing Tony's work until it was too late, for us both. He was a true virtuoso, I really wish I had heard his works many many years ago, I feel I've missed out on so much on a *great* and humble talent. RIP Tony ❤️. I would love to see more of his "live" work, should you have any suggestions - I am particularly taken by "Cattle in the Cane".
