I'm just getting to this video now. A little late. Sorry. I had to pause it, though, because I just had to come her and comment. That chuckle you made when you came out of that tunnel, at about the 2:33 mark, was fantastic! And I totally get it.
Another great video. Many folks do not understand how crucial trucking is to the modern way of life. It is an honourable profession, like all front-line work. Thank you for your service. Love the rig. Keep the vids coming!
You should get with a Buddy who pulls a rack and hook up to it you'll fall in love yes it's work but worth it I couldn't do anything else you have a Helluva cowmobile get a spread axle Wilson double decker with all the light's.

Thanks for another great video! I've never been to Pittsburg. I did hear there were Penguins around there and that they have a problem with stealers as well. Glad you made it out ok. :")
In the old truck I had, I would get behind cars going slow in the hammer lane and hit the jake behind them and most of the time they would move. Most of the time... worked better than hitting the train horn lol
@@Truckinlife like I say your videos are really good down to earth Trucking you have good ideas half of these other guys that make videos should you watch your words they could really learn something keep up the good work
Love the sound of your Pete, the Jakes rock. For you cry babies who don’t like them grow a pair 😂 Man having a great dog is the best, coming home and they showing you love. I bet he can’t stand it when you leave for 3-4 days.
I’m not sure that’s a measurement you could ever quantify. It would take a study of years and years and tearing two engines down to compare the difference. I’ve never heard of jake brakes causing “undo” wear on a motor. Mostly due to how they operate, what they actually are.
Tunnels are intence! Your stacks are bellowing! That's a tight squeeze along that route when it's busy. Sucks about the bumper. I was admiring it couple vids ago, the way it extends the wheel arch. Its badass! What are you replacing it with next yr? Rubber side down!
Driving truck through the tunnels like I ride my motorcycle, lol. City of Bridges. The Steel City. da Burgh. Many names for the city, home of the unofficial steepest street in the world, Canton Ave
@Truckin' Life - I got a question for you. I'm a LEARNING driver so I don't fully understand all YET. The open pipes, are they considered "too loud" in the US of A? They seem cool, but could be slightly over the top. My instructor teaches me to keep noise levels to a minimum at all times, so shifting back in a tunnel could cause me to fail my exam, hence my question. I'm from Europe by the way... (possibly different rules)
They’re not considered “too loud” but loud. Not typically what you’d find on a truck in the states. Noise level is definitely not part of what they teach drivers here. lol
Hey bro I'm a new subscriber to your vlog I have watched some of your videos and it's entertaining and also gives information about trucking. Can you demonstrate how to downshift next time cause I'm quite curious about how to downshift an 18 speed
Sounds so nice I love it!! the only big tunnel I’ve really bin through is the one in montreal Canada an I was riding in a 05 Pete 379 with cat 3406 e model cat had 7 inch straight pipes let me tell you it was loud! great videos by the way!
Where do you live at brother ? I live in greenfield, right off the squirrel hill tunnel ...... (and yes you rattled my tunnel “squirrel hilltunnel”in this video as well lols ) 😎 ...... p.s. I got class a with tanker endorsement as well if you ever need help (no hazmat)
What’s your dogs name ? Had asked you on the last video to blow the train horn in a tunnel on the way back , but the comment didn’t go through. Could we get some tunnel honkey tonk some time ?
Love them jakes in the tunnels for sure!
Sounds like your truck is powered with the Cummins Signature 600!!👍🏼🎼🎼😎
It is! 😉🤙🏻

I like the front tire shot...a new perspective.
Wish the damn camera would have rotated. lol.
That truck sounds beautiful 🫡🫡
I’m looking to transition to owner operator. What truck and motor do you recommend as a first time buyer on his own?
Depends on your priority. Lol.
@Truckinlife heavy haul and enddump
I have probably seen your truck around because I live in Turtle Creek pa and there’s always straight piped trucks ripping through

I see what you did there, don't forget those Pirates
Is this a signature 600?
Yep!
Thanks for the all great comments and stay safe and I love your video and I love your truck nice job
It’s so fun to put on headphones crank up the volume and listen to that amazing truck those jake are sweet

my actual handle is "iceman" but usually people just holler Belair. lol.

I also would get along side of them on their cell phone and pop the jake to wake them up. 700 hp Cat with 7” straight pipe did the trick.

Love the truck and the channel
You have a beautiful truck!! I love the BelAir theme. The Burgh has many tunnels for Jaking in.
Awesome, that was fun to watch. I did the same thing, a chuckle at the end of the tunnel. The wife doesn't get it...
Neither does mine. Lol.
Love that Bella sound
What Pa county are you from? I lived in and have family in Butler county. The accent gives away western Pa.
I am from western Pa. my dog came from butler! Lol. I’d rather not narrow it down to a county though.

I’ll probably stay with a 20”. I’ve had 22’s and they tend to be a hassle.

I have a video up how to shift an 18. I touch on the downshifting at the end of it. I’ll try to get more in depth about it in a video though.
@@Truckinlife thanks bro much appreciated keep on trucking
Gotta love sq hill tunnels where we hit our brakes for no reason.
Very nice truck. It sounds amazing! Do you ever pick up from Qualawash in Friendly WV?
I can’t say as though I’ve ever been to that one.
Best video EVER!!!
I used to love hitting the jakes in those tunnels! Free Entertainment!
Does your bumper lift? and what apu do you run?
Bumper does. It’s currently unhooked tho. Dynasys APU. Do NOT recommend though.

The tank wash is on Neville island. 😁👍🏻
Just a big kid and his toy.
The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys! lol.

Some train horns now just as you start coming up to the end of the tunnel

Little question , just curious. How do you turn on the jake? Is there a little switch somewhere near the pedals ?
It is turned on with a switch in the dash and then comes on whenever you let off the accelerator automatically.
I was just at the zoo Saturday. Drove thru the Christmas light show.
Sounds great. Bet you torment 4 wheelers in tunnels don't ya???
7 days of on the road driving and 18 wheelers are as bad a four so far.. is it because of the studen driver truck ?
Stay safe stay hydrated..
