Thanks Rob, yes, been waiting a long time to see them, and lived up to expectations; perhaps exceeding them because of their/our age! Hope they perform as well tomorrow and you have a great night.
@@MarcLatham I've seen them a few times over the years, this year's Manchester one was definitely their best. Billy is always spot on, he's like a machine bless him, but Ian was really up for it, the whole band were great. And nice to have Johnny Marr join them on stage to play Rain, too.
@@RobUttley Great. I'd just read a review of their Montreal gig in June before, which was positive, but said Astbury and Duffy could be dour these days and were having problems with the guitar rig, so I was expecting it to be good, but erratic, and it seemed to be much more energetic and smooth than that, so I thought they were on form. musicaddict.ca/2019/06/concert-review-the-cult-mtelus-montreal-june-1st-2019/
Loved the Cult past tense , Ian needs a major overhaul I think the Cult is representative of a group that wasted golden opportunities multiple times thanks to Ian, sadly the Cult realized their potential long after their popularity had eroded and they now seem desperate to breathe life into a fire that's long dead but for the nostalgia. Like a chicken with it's head cut off the feet are still kicking but the Cult is already dead RIP
Still Loving To Listen In 2024
Great nowadays as decades back, awesome.
This is such great footage of live Cult. Sounding so good. Ian's voice is incredibly resonant. Thanks for the upload.xx
