I was commenting to George's other video of the TW that it reminds me a lot of our Ford D1414 truck sound (which had the British Ford 360 T engine) and later when Ford trucks were called CARGO form about 1983, they were fitted with ADE (South African motors) and did not ever sound like this again.
George I've been watching your videos for a while now and thought it best to comment on this one! It's bloody awesome, reminds me of my childhood as my neighbour ran a fleet of Tw's and most had straight throughs, particularly the Tw 25 he had. You could hear them coming for miles around and especially in the summer at silage. A field they used to cut beside the house here they'd have the tw25 with a 1360 John Deere mower and the sound that thing made when she was powering up is something I'll never forget and this video definitely brought it back! :)
Sounds good George but how much louder does it seem in the cab? However it looks as though you need to stabilse the exhaust some more - previously the barrel of the exhaust received some support from the bonnet whereas the straight-through stack does not.
Nah, the only support the muffler had was the pipe it was mounted on at the expander and maybe a lil bit from the blow by tube that was underneath the front. The muffler itself didn't even touch the hood. Either way, if it is still a bit loose, he can put a couple stainless hose clamps around the expander and tighten it up some, don't think it needs it though.Though I do see the top of the tube moving much more than it should, due to the cap being on backwards and it catching the wind at speed, it's not moving all that much at slow speed though. (I know it looks cool to have it that way George, but that's like a huge sail catching the wind at speed. It will cause the hinge pin to fail sooner than it should, not to mention the movement flaring out the pipe at the bottom where the expander is. So you might want to turn that around to face backwards like it should be, it'll mitigate the premature wear on the pipe and cap. )
Is that a manual transmission? Firstly, hello and merry Xmas to you and your fans. Second I just found your channel and although I'm a trucker and despise you guys (joke) I am intrigued and captured by your first few vids that I came across. Looking forward to your future content and if you ever want to see life from the truckers viewpoint then drop by my channel as I vlog daily.
@@GeorgeSaunders like my Zetor 4011 :-) I am not so much professional at it.. Sometimes i "count" teeth when shifting to 5th gear (need almost idle RPM without counting teeth) or when downshifting with so much or very less gas :-) Gears not in same speed.
my favorite tractor, because it brings back memories of my youth. Yes I have driven one.
Lucky
What a beautiful noise.

We always run Ford tractors, never did have a 25 but had every other model, Tw 5, 15 and 35 I really like that vintage, well built tractors......
