Yes. Though the dirty laundry was already being aired & exposed. Clearly it's not too expensive to buy Law Enforcement. Gaspipe Casso did it. Murray Humphreys was #masterfixer for the Chicago outfit. Paying off the cops is an ancient practise. Been around long as Methusela.
Please show me a non violent criminal in there for only weed and has a life sentence. I can't imagine there's many considering I said non violent. Meaning never convicted for a violent crime at any point.
Bugler story is so fascinating, mind blowing the FBI would essentially work with a smaller criminal organization just to take down a larger one, creating a power vacuum within Boston that the smaller, connected family obviously filled.
Got away stayed hidden comforably until age 80+ then yes was brutally beaten to death un prison but overall he got off easy but he paid with his life the same of many ruined lives at his hand #truekarma
He cut a young lads throat for no reason at all. He was not just a gangster. Many gangster hitmen are not sadistic. They pull a hit but they don't enjoy it and they leave non-criminals, women and kids alone. Bulger was a gangster and a serial killer. That is a formiddable combination. Especially with corrupt officials onside in Southie.
they kept him around to keep a check on organized crime. Nowdays who knows how many smaller organized crime units operate in boston. I suspect there is a lot more crime nowadays then back then.
It's from 2001 considering they say he's 71 in this video and was captured in 2011 at 81. And Osama WAS on the most wanted list even before 911. It's why 911 is even more surprising because we were aware of their presence and we knew airplanes could be an option since I was in 3rd grade and a kid literally guessed "did an airplane crash into a building" when our teacher told us something really really bad happened but she can't tell us. I still have no clue how that kid guessed that considering we didn't really leave class. Maybe he heard something maybe not but the fact is that it was something people could think of so why didn't the national security agencies ever think of that possibility? Why didn't they make it more strict to fly? Regardless, he was on the list before.
Excellent journalism as usual and always from Big Ed.
RIP
I agree 💯☺️ he was a brilliant journalist
Thank you for posting this now.
Important message to remember forever.
Ed Bradley was so damn cool
The FBI was reached for a quote, and the statement from the FBI- “Whoops.”
RIP Ed Bradley... A real reporter.
Ed Bradley is a legend.
Ed got all the good interviews. Even gangsters talked to him.
Governments are so corrupt and they need to be held accountable
Yes!
What a graceful journalist! Wow!
60k is enough to be a Good cop.
It is, but then you’re bribed with 100k to do something, would you turn that down?
Hahaha!!!
60k for a FBI agent???
I used to make 80k as a bartender!!
No wonder they become crooked..
Joe Echegaray and I made 1,000,000 Sweeping Street.
O O don’t be hating, lol 😂
Where you bartend Abu Dhab? 😂😂😂
The crooked ones were morons. Flipped by a few wise cracking gangsters.
lol where
its sad that people still have trust in the fbi
Dirty FBI 🤦🏻♀️ so sad
What's ur IG ?
So now we know why he was moved to another prison and was left in a cell to be kiiled. Straight set up.

100%
RIP Ed Bradley
Man, it took another ten years to catch the guy. Same with OBL.
The FBI and the American Gangster are one.
Of course the FBI is dirty than a mf
its like a.. bad love affair. dont go breaking my heart!
deluded libtard,LoL. it's hillary and barrack obozo who is in trouble :)
Connolly is a great liar tbh. He almost convinced me he was innocent but after hearing from all the ex winter hill soldiers, he CLEARLY is guilty
I can't believe a news show like 60 minutes is dumb enough to think Eddie Mackenzie is a reliable source
Yeah he's full of it
Gonna miss Ed Bradley
u can get life in prison for weed and theese killers roam the streets wtf
Weed is legal in several states and I cant think of a single case where someone was arrested or incarcerated solely on possession
Nastia Then you’re ignorant on the subject.
Please show me a non violent criminal in there for only weed and has a life sentence. I can't imagine there's many considering I said non violent. Meaning never convicted for a violent crime at any point.

The FBI became the new " *MOB* "
Ed probably breathed a side of relief that Bulger didn’t come after him after this report.
As it turns out, Robert Fitzpatrick was a shady FBI agent as well.

1:38 whaaat Ed Bradley lol 😂
We know where they are now.
Mueller??? Comey??
The FBI always has been a shady/dubious government agency
It would just horrify anybody.
Fitzpatrick seems to say what bulger has said and that's that he isn't a rat and the FBI worked him
He also never signed or fingerprinted any of his pages in his informant file. That's unheard of.
The Departed is loosely based on this guy, The Black Mass as well
@amanda miller Thanks, i'll put that on my "what to watch" list
The Wire too
@@syandalindo7829 The best TV series (after Got) there is.

No
He's lying
No mention of Robert Mueller or Andrew Weissmann!
Feech LaManna (10:40) was in Bulger’s pocket too?
