Costa Rica is not cheap. The price range you gave is way off. It used to be cheap but that us no longer the case. The tons of expats flocking to it are drastically changing the country as well, and not for the better.

Shocked not to see Cambodia in here ? -- Or Ecuador ? -- Probably could have made it to include 15 perhaps & thrown Nepal in there - or Bangladesh maybe ? - - - I been looking '''world wide''' for about 2 years --&-- S E Asia is hard to beat for cheap retirement destinations ! - - - If English is important - like it is for me to be 'comfortable' in daily life - the Philippines Malaysia and Cambodia will serve you well.

Cambodia for English? I don't think so. PI is probably the top followed by Malay.

Jees, I couldn't survive in Nepal and Bangladesh, why do you suggest those countries? You can't even find aspirin there when you needed! No English in Cambodia! I hope you study those countries well before you get yourself in to trouble!
