+OTAKU Nothing irritates me more than a team that doesn't know what they're doing.
There should at least be a small section on the fighters because they contribute a huge portion to your team. One strafing run by an a-wing is pretty much the equivalent of all of the work you did during the entire bombing run at the end of the video. Also, a good imperial pilot or two can keep the airs clear and pretty much negate half the rebel team's damage to the walker. Don't forget the countless walker assault games won by hail mary T-47s.
This is my favorite game mode, yet also my most hated. This game mode makes me angry because sometimes when an Airspeeder is harpooning the walker, the team ignores it and fires on the enemy team, forcing me to be the only Scout Trooper to try and stop them. Also, this is a large game mode, so campers are present. And when I have campers constantly killing me....I GO NUTS! Also, sometimes the way enemy players kill me is just a joke, or otherwise my whole team feels like a joke, and they put as much effort into gaining a victory as if you tried to define John Wayne Gacy without looking at John Gacy's life.
***** Most of the teams are. No wonder why the community is terrible as the Imperials, they can't even shoot down an Airspeeder to protect their walkers half the time.
+ScoutTrooper164 the community is nice and friendly, but star wars fans, like myself, will just buy the game because it is star wars and just walk around looking at the whole map. However, i am also a gamer. So i don't just walk around looking at the map.

My experience about Walker Assoult is:
- Be aware that starfighters can do as much demage to walkers as turrets while they are harder to be shot down from the ground. 3 well placed X wing can do miracles. So get into air!
- Yust as you said: playing objective. If your team sits down in cover to snipe enemy around the uplink, your team will loose 100%
- The teams' main goal is area protection. Not just only the uplinks, but the first 10 to 15 meters over it. If you only protect the uplinks, the enemy can have a jump on you. So push up your offence as far as it is possible. The Twillinght on Hoth map shows just that.
- Stealing turrets from the enemy. Just sneak behind enemy lines with both imp/rebel and do massive demage to retreating/charging opponents or destroy other turrets to prevent firing on the walker. It is a tonn of fun.
- No fallback! As a rebel soldier in the direct frontline you can hinder the enemy as long as you are alive, while your friends sespawning in the back are activating the uplinks. The more time you can buy the better.

yes!!! walker assault is the only game mode i play since, for me, it most closely captures a huge battle, with the iconic walking behemoths and clear objectives. thanks for covering so much of the game with your content!

Too lazy to look right now, probably the EE-3.
OTAKU On the map which you played, with the Imperials, go to a rock on the main uplink in stage 1 (the one which everybody snipes at, and nobody goes and defends the crashed transport one). Then snipe. You can easily peek yourself out of cover to get a shot off, get back in, and because of a "rise" in the ground the enemy can barely hit you, but you have good vision. That's how I got 21 - 2 in a match of Walker Assault on that map.

Something other: Twillinght on Hoth map is like a 90% imperial win. It has lot of problems. The rebels really have to be on their best to take down one of the walkers. The time is short in the 2nd and 3rd part and the final stage is a plain massacre.
Wrote a letter to EA on their webpage but I think the case needs more help.

That's true. I think that they should just make it a one-hit at all ranges. Maybe even decrease the damage at short range to make it better at longer ranges.

Interesting :) There's also a cheeky tactic you can abuse on Jakku WA. The walkers are pretty far off on the flanks, isolated from the main combat area. If your team can hold the uplinks alright for 3-4 Y-wings per checkpoint, you can camp at the feet of an AT-AT with a 280C, Ion Grenade, Ion Shot, and Thermal Detonator (trait is Scout, to reach the walker unnoticed) and unleash hell on the underbelly during each airstrike. The ion nade and smart rocket are god tier for this, the thermal det is spammy and hence is better than the torpedo.
This tactic, despite sounding gimmicky, allows you to pretty much solo an AT-AT, with no imperials ever being bothered to look for you there, simply because they are too busy shooting your teammates in the wreckage. It's pretty handy when you get "that team" that doesn't shoot walkers during the airstrike.

A few more tips on playing rebel from me would be: if you get a blaster cannon, save it for the Walker event. I know alot of people that just dump it somewhere in favour of the more awesome/easy kill pick-ups . But after the satellite turret and aircraft, this one is the ultimate Walker-wrecker. Another one would be your rebel Walker hand.. Aside from the ion torpedo, Use the pulse cannon and ion shot, cycle through these in the correct order for maximum damage output. A friend and i have gotten walkers down to 50 or even less while the rest of the team was occupied by the other. Satellite + blaster Cannon is absolute destruction.

My Walker Assault Hand focuses mainly on taking out vast numbers of infantry and working on uplink stations. Jump Pack | Shield | Bacta Bomb | Bodyguard.

My favorite parts of this video are the destruction of the air vehicles...well done. Every time I'm smoked by these turds up flying around, blindly blowing away infantry, I imagine a group of Gremlins with DualShock 4s on the other end laughing hysterically. The only time I am not playing this mode is when I have a challenge to win 3 matches of something else. My MVP guarentee load out: Scatter gun, personal shield, jet pack, escape artist. Back up load out, ion missile, ion shot, ion grenade. Blaster: EE-4 on the two Endor maps, AOC on all others. Great video.

One time my internet connection was very bad. I got killed so many times because of it. I even lost a hero pickup. But when the connection was stable again I managed to find another hero pickup and I got Boba Fett. I'm glad because I managed to contribute to the team more.

I personally love the new DL-18 with the adrenaline stim, a cycler rifle, jump pack and scout since it allows me to snipe the sniper, sneak around and recover and fight another day (to quote how to not suck at infantry) plus do massive close range damage and WRECK medium and close range damage with the DL-18's rapid fire and the cycler rifles shield penetration. Overall I think it is one of the best hands and I'm glad I came up with it (though it's only my opinion). Also, when should we all expect your blaster reviews? I'm dying to see your opinions on the Outer Rim DLC's new weapons.

I've noticed that the regular T-21 actually is a very good all around rifle. Good damage for close quarters and good for sniping from far away. Although due to the amount of hits you have to have to get a kill, I'll often leave enemies on 1 or so health and I'll die lol

Thermal Detonator or Shock Grenade (This is also a major cause of my rage sadly because players who I feel like are oblivious sometimes walk in the way and the grenade just falls back to me after it bobbles off the friendly players head.)

I think the map design matters a lot. On Endor you always need to pack up with short-range weapons, while on Tatooine you need sniper rifles.

Really love the videos you put out, already subscribed but always look forward to more stuff. One thing that wasn't picked up here that may be helpful (maybe a future video) is dealing with Air Vehicles? Specifically on WA when speeders fire off their toe-cables, it would be good to have some idea how to deal with them (as infantry). I find the ion torpedo to be ineffective so wondered if you had any good tips (I suck in air vehicles so leave them to other players, but would like to be able to help out more against the speeders on the last leg of WA).
+Creating Bad Honestly, I don't think there is really all to much you can do but use powerful weapons and try your best. I have no proven method for always taking down air vehicles when they lock on. It's a team effort.
+OTAKU Thanks for the reply man, appreciate it. I'll keep hoping the team plays the objective more lol. Sometimes I find the pulse rifle does ok, provided you can predict the speeders arc, think it does about 50 damage or so and should dislodge the toe-cable. But its tricky.

When I'm attacking i tend to use something with an explosive secondary fire like the Relby or Bryar Pistol. When I'm defending I usually use the ee-3.

The gun I run a lot now in most modes is the Relby. It isn't as effective at long range as say the EE-3 or the T21-B, but it gets the job done. It can very much compare to the A280C since it fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, pretty accurate, controllable spread and recoil, decent DPS, and good cooling power. The other new weapons are pretty decent too depending on the situation, but I think the DLT-19X is the new worst gun in Battlefront (to me at least). Its supposed to be a sniper rifle, performs its job poorly compared to say the EE-3. It only gets someone down to maybe 90-95 health in a shot, and only fires one shot at a time before overheating. The cool down time is pretty long, even to hit cooling flush. Cooling Cell doesn't work as well with it as I thought it might either since you still have to wait a few seconds between shots and the recoil forces you to re-adjust your aim. Now, it instant kills up close, but if you miss you are SOL and if your in close range you are not doing it right. I'd be interested to hear what your opinion on it may be, because the DT-19X in the end felt not only underwhelming but a complete waste of time trying to get (unless you are a completionist).
+Starkiller_1999 Meant to add this. I am aware that you have to play it like an actual sniper with focusing on headshots and all of that, but the big problem is the way it handles. It is very easy to miss your shots with how hectic the action gets in matches and then get punished for it as soon as they notice you firing at them. Cooling flush takes a few seconds longer to reach than other guns once it overheats (every shot), and gets harder to land between shots and take a bit longer to reach (from the way it felt). Other guns simply handle the sniper/sharpshooter role a lot better and are more adaptable.
+Starkiller_1999 yea challenged my self to just using both that or the dl 18 in walker assault and I usually dos like 20-10 but that is horrible compared to my usual but using the dlt 19x is really really fun and can get streaky
+Starkiller_1999 It appears to have similar mechanics to the cycler rifle. Problem is, the cycler is situational at best and therefore making a blaster with the same behavior means that it too is very situational and doesn't lead to very fun gameplay 9/10 when you can't use it effectively. Honestly, unless you are a very skilled sniper, I would just stay away from it.
My thoughts exactly. Hopefully they change the mechanics for the gun a bit, Change the cooling power to allow at least 2-3 shots and have it two shot at long range. That way you can at least land the kill and run into the risk of them running away before you can land the kill or hit more than one target before having to cool down which is the biggest flaw of the weapon.

I agree, it should have at least 2-3 shots available for it. The cycler rifle works as is because its a secondary. This one is a freaking primary weapon and should at least offer enough ammo to follow up with another shot if you don't get the initial kill.

I like to you the Dioxis grenade and smoke grenade in the same hand. The smoke can cover the green gas, making it more useful, as enemies will not see a big cloud of green gas and avoid it. By the way, love the channel.

@Otaku, actually I would say learn how to use the DL-18. I learned how to use the SE-14C before Outer Rim and I wrecked havoc on the enemy team. I then learned how to use the DL-18, and I was getting 50-5 matches on cargo. I also wreck other players using the SE-14C. Plus, you can use the DL-18 medium to longISH range.

i play with rebels and use high explosive loadouts and more stelthy when playing empirial, i find it works for me, nice vid

Why do you need to call in Y-Wings? The Out of Universe Explanation is to let the Empire have a chance but what happens when Y-Wings receive the signal, what does locking in mean? and shouldn't they just keep coming non-stop since they know the coordinates?
You need to call in Y-wings to bomb the Walker and disable it's shields. By activating the uplinks and keeping them going it transmits a locational signal to the Y-wings to come in for their attack. They can't come in non stop because realistically it doesn't make sense at such low altitudes. You can come in for a strafe run and then you need to pull out a re position.
OTAKU GAMING But why does it take so long for another attack run and shouldn't they not need new coordinates after they receive them for the first time. I'm confused as to why X-Wings can remain in the sky and Y-Wings can't. By the way thanks for replying I've been improving thanks to your content your work is much appreciated.

Because it's a game and not everything can be 100% percent realistic or logical. They gotta find a middle ground between what works for balance and what makes sense.
I like this game more the most, but also it's annoying when every other player can kill an army worth of people. I'm currently working on unlocking the Relby V-10, but the T21B is being a Huge Pain in the ass cause it overheats so quickly.

Blaster cannons do the most damage to a walker. Litteraly the first uplinks with 5 Y wings I was able to take the Walker down half heath with a blaster cannon.

Your videos on Battlefront are awesome. As a below average player may I suggest doing a video on how to avoid getting killed? I mean, 52-2!!?? To get those many kills I would have to die like, 150 times minimum. LOL

Speaking of the SE-14C, I love it now, more than the new Outer Rim blasters. The Outer Rim blasters are fantastic, especially the DL-18, only problem is that right now they are, many times, crushed by CA-87s, SE-14C's, etc. Hence why I use the SE-14C! It's a 2 to 1 hit kill close range.

I agree 100%. However, I wasn't too impressed with the DLT-19X. The DL-18 is one of my favorite guns now as well as the Relby. I feel like the DL-18 is VERY weak to other pistols such as the DH-17 and SE-14C in most close range firefights.

I find the DH-17 pretty good on the Forest Moon of Endor map, went 106 - 16 with it and destroyed.

+OTAKU Jumppack, Scan Pulse and the Scout Pistol. No one really uses the scout pistol but it's surprisingly really good to use on a map like Endor. It can 1 shot kill up close with a headshot or if you get both of the bullets to hit an enemy from medium distance. Plus the cool down is 6 seconds and you can keep using this. If you pair this with the scout trait it becomes even more powerful.
Oh and is there a relby video in the making? Lots of people seem to dislike it, i think its amazing fun!!
