The polka is I think the easiest to dance out of Irish traditional music dances. The music is difficult enough to master let alone the dance steps. Adam Beanstock. I play in sessions some tunes I learn properly and others I just pick up in sessions. Anyway your performance was immediately uplifting giving me reason why I want to play Irish music.
There are almost 5/6 different ways of spelling the above..The most popular is Eimear (my own daughter's name)...The correct Irish spelling is the above Eimhear. I studied Irish as a young kid going to secondary school...Had to study it.... Latin, Science,Maths etc..etc through Irish...and "I not knowing no focal at all". That was a long time ago.. People now learn the language because they want to and because it's a shared language on the island of Ireland. Also a T.V & Radio Station dedicated to the language has helped to popularize the language in recent years .
It is rare to see such genuine smiles
Och begob and bedad tis and all and all and anyways sure the wee twinkle of a hearty cailín twould bring a tear to the heart of a son of dear old éire

They're so in sync that the box just seems to pop out when she plays chords, sounds so great.
