Meanwhile in Genshin, it's either the object floating in mid-air, or using camera angles to obscure the hands that's supposed to be holding the object.
You should make a comparison between when shorekeeper is able to grab and drink a cup of tea and a genshin character extending their hand to show a floating / picture of an item 😂
Or whenever a character is supposed to perform an action during dialogue, it's off frame and Hoyo is like "use your imagination". Is it the limitations of Unity or Genshin team just don't care about presentation?
Genshin is an old game and changing that will have to make new a new game. And wuwa was made by UE5 that’s why the game has cinematic and amazing animation
I feel like Wuthering Waves is trying so hard that the story feels more predictable and boring, especially the cinematics, there are times they are glitched or the effects just ends for no reason and you can really feel the low budget on the movements and choreography, or the audio is delayed for some reason. In Genshin the reused animations suck ass and you will fall asleep half of the story by the same fetch quests over and over again, but then you are rewarded with ONE well made cinematic which is a high quality pre-rendered cutscenes which makes it worth watching after all the unskippable nonsense you have to get through. Kuro has amazing dialogue animations, the amount of details they gave for Shorekeeper on Act VIII were absolutely amazing! The visuals on the Black Shores were absolutely breathtaking! the only thing that they should do is make their cinematics as good as genshin that can maybe rival Zenless Zone Zero? hopefully they do in the upcoming updates just like how Genshin also improved their cutscenes every update. Also, why did Wuwa to introduce their Irminsul Tree in just 1.3? Isn't that too soon? Maybe it's just me.
@@raychie4783idk which cinematic you're talking about but I believe you're talking about action cinematic which I believe wuwa has done more on that part if you missed it e.g.xiangli Yao story or his trailer and then don't sleep on the black shores cinematic which are the Tethys system and shore keeper one
I mean. The game is already huge in terms of storage. If they have to add more animations, uuuum…that’s gonna be a problem for some of their players, especially on mobile players, which Hoyo seems to care more than WW, who tend to mostly care for their PC audiences. There’s a reason Hoyo put most expressions to their characters on their other game, and that’s because the other games storage is small compared to Genshin so they’re more open to creativity. I mean, it is already very impressive a game with a huge amount of content can still run smoothly on mobile. For WW, already a few months into their game and yet running on mobile is more of a problem than Genshin a few months after their release.
@@sethizal6984 Well lucky you. My friend uninstalled WW since 1.1 and move the game over to his PC instead. I myself did the same, and mine was an iphone 13, so quite decent.
@@raulsalazar05 You can say that nicer "I'm glad I left that game" Also pleAse use "I" not "i," that is a cardinal sin to English, and if it's not yo first language, that's ok. But now you can still learn from it :D yay
The lip sync in Wuwa was done very well the lip move when the dialogue starts and the lip stops moving when the dialogue stops damn kuro are really something
PPL don't play games for only primogems yk😂. Btw did u mean "dialogue" or "scene"? U can skip the dialogue tho.... And I think if u don't run behind only for the rewards, u will understand that how well written most of the thing is in genshin. And anyway ur the type of person to complete the whole game by skipping in just 1 hr and then say that ur endgame player, it's a story game bud, ur suppose to enjoy it too(wuwa included in this too)
@@Onigumo.Flying Diaper🤣🤣🤣, I'm using that in the future 😂, but your right , the problem with genshin is that the Archon quests are good but those lazy twats still refuse to optimise the way the story is portrayed in the game, the dialogues just feel like the AI took control of the character with hardly anything different from usual.
@@FantasyBreaker even worse how people are forced to read 3 hours of NPCs dialogues without a single voice line. This is so annoying and few of them are region locked, for example: Inazuma islands and Sumeru materials
Reminder that in Yinlin's story quest, there are a NPC father that find his daughter and they actually hug. They took the time to make them hug for the very first scene of the quest.
As someone who played both games I just gotta say that Genshin's characters can't do something as simple as shaking hands or hugging in dialogue scenes. They have to do something like zoom-ins or sideswipes to show such movements.
Its kind of funny how i asked for skip button for genshin for a long time now wuwa has it i don't even used the skip button for main and companion relate quest
This what I've noticed first even during WuWa's CBT, every moment feels like an anime scene. Prior to release, the lead designer mentioned that they plan to do just that. Treat every scene like an anime. And they delivered that vision. The dynamic camere movements, expressive facial animations, the various aspect ratios used really makes it feel like watching an anime. I still play Genshin but I don't get the same feeling. It always felt like a voiced visual novel with basic and uninspired slight camera movements and cinematography. I don't think it has something to do with the game's age or engine. It's a difference in creative direction. I have to say though, WuWa should voice all MC dialogues to even feel more immersive.
It is 1000% to do with its old anim engine. Saying hoyo doesn't know cinematography is just disingenuous. Ya'll do these comparisons but then immediately dodge doing them when it comes to their later games like ZZZ. You can't expect them to redo their entire animation base from 4 years ago (especially since the original devs are likely not around anymore). 90% the playerbase won't even care for these changes either way. Edit: People in the replies never held a job it seems. Go look up what technical debt and ripple effects are before you make a fool out of yourselves.
@@oyshikaadi9631 Lol no. Let me guess, you primarily play gacha games? Also, when did I mention ZZZ? Did the video show ZZZ? Also when did I say that HOYO don't know anything about cinematography? Also, ironic, you pointing out ZZZ proves my point that it's not about the engine but creative direction. ZZZ, if I'm not mistaken is also made with Unity with Hoyo 's own customization. ZZZ is not Genshin. What the f are with this shills. Me critizing genshin doesn't mean i criticize you mother that is hoyoverse. Me saying that WuWa is better in terms of normal dialogue cutscenes and cinematography doesn't mean it applies to the entirety of Hoyoverse games. Are all hoyoshills like you can't comprehend simple sentences?
There are people who still dare to say that the characters in Wuthering are expressionless. A layperson made a video saying that the characters are "soulless" and that they don't seem "alive", then you see the Genshin characters talking, do they really look like they are "alive"?
Those your called "people" are either just Genshin White Knight or just hating on WuWa blindly Because IN FACT, Genshin is the most low effort in design of characters and dialogue, heck the MC doesn't even have that much of a voiced dialogue Yeah, the both Honkai games are far more better at it
Exactly. I still play Genshin and I'm not naive to not notice how cinematic and expressive WuWa's basic dialogues are. And this is the reason why I hope they allow us to autoplay with the subtitle box hidden and only subtitles and dialogue choices showing. There are even those who say that WuWa designs have same-face syndrome when they even have different head, eye, brow shapes and height compared to Genshin.
Day 1 F2P Genshin player here(Since 2020 or 2021) and No matter what anyone says i will always firmly believe that Wuwa is better in many ways and that being that the *Devs listen* . I mean From recent reports Genshin has made 5 Billion Revenue and with that amount of money what's stopping you from adding more animations and emotion into characters? 4 years and your *STILL* using the same old npc animations since the beginning, not even making us feel like their human or have different reactions, to the point it was even surprising to me when Kachina made this O - O Face/emotion because of how long its been since I've seen smth new thru out each character. If you really want to endorse your Community and make them attached to your game then its easy to say that you make them have *PERSONALITY* .It doesn't matter if the pose is wacky or annoying/weird as long as it matches how the character acts, talks, feels then that's what you call *PERSONALITY* and *BEING UNIQUE!* its what makes everyone *DIFFERENT* from each other. Imagine everyone in the world only being able to react this way(Like Mualani) I srs won't be surprised if i started predicting what same pose my friends will do next. I still can't Fathom the crap I've been thru with Genshin for the past 4 years, literally i remember it had that "Magic" to it and I'd stay up Countless nights just to farm Primos for a character as if it was a 9/6 job! to the point I'd have eye bags, Passing out, being forgetful and my mom stopped me from playing for a couple of days.I wish i put that amount of effort into Wuwa even though ik their generous, I hope more Genshin players can leave Genshin behind and not be stuck to it like a dog chain/lease.
Dude breaking away from Genshin after having spent like $1K on it from April 2021 to like early 2024 was just harsh at first (because sunken cost fallacy), but once I broke away from it and embraced WuWa, it was like breaking up from an extraordinarily toxic and abusive gf to a loving, straight up angelic one. It was surreal... Looking for ex-Genshin players who got sick of it and moved elsewhere? I'm one of them :V
@@makotoyuki2199 THATS WHAT I WAS EXACTLY THINKING! is like breaking up from ur toxic relationship and finding someone who actually loved you. @@makotoyuki2199 and i feel like the fact that once u spend money on the game u can't just leave it(esp if its more than just a few bucks) i feel like thats what causes players to play everyday even if theres no meaning to it.
@@N1kkyyChan Genshin really did take a toll on me. I’m glad I’m just reasonable enough to have realized it when I heard promises that were… true, coming from the release of WuWa. Promises made, and kept. None were kept when I played Genshin.
I was playing WuWa one day and legitimately forgot that it is a game and not an anime. Even without detailed and smooth cutscenes dialogues look and feel great. I love animations in this game so much!
No no, that's good move actually investment on nuclear, because when Hoyoverse got accident the government will support to help Hoyoverse That's prevention company in aspect view as General Manager to safety analysis and bond interest with government
From the eye of Shorekeeper alone you can see a LOT. Hesitation, anguish, bitter resolve, and yearning. Sorry to other team this time, but their eye seems dead in comparison
Well the 5.0 characters has been much more expressive imo. They got their own emotes and stuff. I think it's kind of a cool way to express their emotions.
@@shikanokonokonokonokoshitantan there's nothing they can do about that. That's probably why they added "emotes" expression for 5.0 characters. I think for a cartoon ish design game, the emotes expression fits really well
in Wuthering Wave there is a skip button even though the cut scane / dialogue scane have a good visual Meanwhile, Gi has too much filler and just plain animation without a skip feature For me, who is a visual lover, I never miss this beautiful work from Kuro This is just my opinion who likes visuals. because I'm already too bored with the filler story that is too much in genshin with the animation that has not changed much in 4 years.
Because there’s no skip button I hate Genshin NPCs with a passion. I can understand selling characters, but I don’t want to cook for some B who commissions me to cook food from another country because she’s too lazy to learn cooking
@@alter-nariawhy are you so defensive. It’s their own critic. You’re supposed to point out why it’s wrong. I honestly feel like Genshin will add the needed features in the future. They are already taking notes from Zenlesss zone zero
You know what pisses me off about genshin isn't just that the cutscenes look stiff af, it's also the fact that even tho hoyo has a way to code automatic lip sync (they use it in HSR for example) they still manually lip sync genshin to the chinese audio, so if you play on any other language, the characters will often just have their mouths shut while talking, and i doubt it would cost them money or is hard to implement, it's the same engine.
Guys seriously just watch Jiyan and Geshu Lin's scene, it literally felt like it was taken from an anime. I have to laugh when I see people talking about Genshin's version 1 like it was some masterpiece when even version 5 cannot compare to Wuwa's 1.x in terms of cinematics. Genshin devs know they don't have to put effort in to make millions, so why bother. Whereas kuro devs obviously care about their art. They might both be gachas but clearly their priorities are very different.
Nah capitano vs mavuika fight is absolute cinema. And so does all 5.1 cutscenes. WuWa barely or never make a proper fighting animation cutscene. A shame. Imagine we get to see a full combat cutscene between like rover and scars with wuwa graphics for example, similar to capitano and mavuika
@@hafannwhy do we need fighting cutscenes in WW if we can do the fight themselves like an anime already? Genshin did that because the fighting animation is so different when players play it themselves LMAO
@@arkcanon1282 nah, having proper fighting cutscene would make it much better. WuWa cutscene seems lazy bcs it's just more dramatic but less action. Shame bcs the graphics is really good
@@hafann 5.1 cutscenes are good but definitely not better even on 1.0 cutscenes on WW and definitely not even close on 1.1 cutscenes. ofc genshin cutscenes would look good bc they show it occasionally and those are the times that you actually see a good movement of the characters on screen that always move like an npc during quest, if you don’t agree on them moving like an npc with the same animation 4 years ago you’re lying to yourself.
@@athena2632 in terms of fluidity, movement, and cinematics. It definitely better for me. Superior or more realistic graphics in WuWa doesn't make their cutscene better. There are some really good one and obviously there are some WuWa cutscenes that are better than some Genshin cutscenes but I don't see any WuWa cutscene comes close to mavuika vs capitano fight. In terms of fighting cutscene, Genshin is far more generous and epic in their animations. I am very well aware of the idle dialogue animations in genshin but if I'm being honest, the dialogues has been a lot more expressive in 5.0-5.1. It's a shame that this content creator decides to pick the most common Genshin interactions and compares it with one of the most crucial and significant moment in 1.3 wuwa. For example, the scene in stadium after mavuika came out empty handed. Certain NPCs are very expressive in their movements, you can look it up and there's many more expressive scenes in Natlan quests than what this CC shows.
The ugly awkward snap in place moments during cutscenes, slow turn and running, out of frame actions because they cant bother to animate someone picking something up. Or someone eating. The hands reaching to grab something but its always conveniently covered by a person or an object in the foreground. Abrupt facial expression changes. Awkward ass clapping. Compared to a very well animated of a maybe 5 to 7 seconds scene of drinking tea. Close up scenes, facial expressions that flow perfectly. Each momemt is romantic and cinematic. Every moment there is beauty in action.
Tbf, almost all the Wuwa player base came from Genshin who is tired from it's lackluster or non-existing QoL updates... Not me tho, I still play Genshin, I didn't spend money on the game but I spended so much time on GI that I can't actually let go of it. Also Hutao. I love Hutao so much and I have her C1R1.
I mean...i'm genshin player from 1.0 and keep pouring money to bought welkin every month...stop doing that shit after the "thank you for your 3 years support, here free 3 pulls". I feel insulted lol... it's better for them to not giving anything instead of just giving you 3 dirt and saying "your support is equal to this dirts"
@@Cripple07 ofc dumbasses like you say this shit. They added new animations for characters in 5.0 and 5.1 and this video is a clear fucking bias towards kuro XD
One thing I notice is that the sync lisping of Genshin is to match body movement, and as you know different dub = different timing of speech and body action. This result to slower body movement as we can see in both HSR and WuWa, meanwhile Genshin body movement is faster, a bit more realistic and anime like. That said, Genshin lip-sync is only meant for CN dub. If you ask me which I prefer, I ironically enjoy Genshin interaction more since I can't cope with slow action of the character, but I do really love the perfect lip-sync of WuWa.
@@FireBlueZ nah man even in the Chinese language the lips isn't synced, there's no reason for them to not add a simple details on a conversation All of the other games has lip sync even on different languages I just don't understand what stopping them from doing it even as the biggest gacha franchise on mobile
@@FeixiaoLiao I've checked, the lips is sync with the dub in CN. Unless you're talking as of perfect lypsync of mouth shape with each word pronounce, that's not common even in anime.
@@FireBlueZ I don't meant the perfect shape like real life human, but like when you said a word with "O" in it you will make your mouth like "O", and you could differentiate when a character say "A" word or "E" word Genshin lack that even in CN, although yes they have a lip sync in the CN but it's only opening and closing, not as great as the other games And as addition, aside the lip sync problem they're using the same character animation over and over and over again, whether they get excited, angry, vexed, or just anything, the only thing that make other character different from another when they're talking is just the fact they're not the same person
@@peterp.l2462the excuse is even more useless cuz they are using unreal engine 4 which was released in 2014 means it is old as F and they can still do creative sh*t with. The problem isn't with the engine it's the complacency and laziness of the devs that there was hardly any good Qol for more than 4 years.

@@kaiden2876it was easier to leave genshin when honkai star rail came out. The way better hoyo game lol. And now its even easier when wuwa came out . Genshin devs need to actually start giving a shit , like how can honkai star rail be amazing while genshin cannot

Like Im not supposed to spend money in games but it really made me buy some packs in wuwa just so I can support these types of devs and not with the intention of getting an advantage lol
I think the comparison would be more fair if it was comparing Mualani with someone like Chixia. But my gosh this video made me realise how tired I am of seeing the same animations for years
Chixia in all cutscenes is smiling and has all sorts of emotions from laughing to being annoyed or worried, so i think that would just crush more than a black hole. lol
The worst is when they do cinematic dialogue in genshin's non voice acted quests, it's so awkward it feels like you play an unfinished game. You have to read and the screen moving around in the background is so distracting
4 years (quit on 2022) and i noticed that genshin has the same animation on in-game cutscene (thinking pose, cross hand pose and the guy in jacket pose) meanwhile, wuwa has dynamic actions on in-game cutscene where Jinhsi and Jue debate on what to do when the time freeze happened on mt. firmament and Abby who has reacts better than the pipsqueak...
Everytime I do wuwa voiced stories on autoplay it makes me feel like I'm watching an anime ☠️ like bro the first time I played it, I almost forgot about the dialogue and I was like "damn why did they stop talking" when the dialogue options popped up
Man, Wuthering Waves is such a treat to play in comparison to Genshin. From simple overworld exploration to the gearing systems and the cutscenes and dialogue, Kuro has outshone GI in practically every aspect.
Not story tho. As much as exciting the 1.3 story is, its just a simple romcom route with a sprinkle of weak antagonist. What I notice is wuwa story doesn't feel rich and connected. It's as if they make the story on the go, spontaneously while in genshin the story has been planned way ahead like when they release inazuma, they probably already had everything planned for sumeru and Fontaine story Obviously WuWa can still improve so I'm waiting on that
Yeh true wuwa's story is not that good, but they def can improve more, 1.3 have been an huge improvement already. About genshin i think since natlan the game feel much more enjoyable now tho, like the game itself has improvement every patch but not much. Hoyo did swap some important staffs from the devs team so im looking forward to its improvement.
The eye animation and shorekeeper’s facial expressions is so well well animated and it’s only a dialog scene! Kuro has been taking feedback and improving more & more 👏
no one, absolutely no one can defend genshin at this point cus wuwa is getting better in everything everyday and proved that you can make changes even after you released the game
In my country, many people from different game groups state that Wuwa characters' movements are too stiff and they look emotionless. It seems things aren't as true as they say 🤷 Edit: I only mean to refer to a large amount of certain people, not any specific group of individuals. Chill guys 😅
Those guys are high. Maybe if you’re comparing to an amazing 2d animation or a triple A single player game focused especially on cinematography but otherwise nope
I agree I love the voice of the Male Rover in all languages, but my favorite is English _😖😩💅🏻🤭_ And in the main mission of 1.3 the Rover spoke a lot most of the time And more so when he gave the speech to the members of BlackShores to rebel against the Thetys system _🧐🗿_
Wuwa's dialogue is almost like baldur's or witcher's conversation, have variety of movements and camera angles that makes it alive even when they just re-use the animation assets While genshin is like skyrim, oblivion or starfield's style
i mean Indy-million dollars company vs Top Tier Multi-million dollars company. there's no excuses for genshin to be this bad they have all the money and resources to improve the game and the fact that they have 4 years time to do it but still giving their fans bare minimum is insane. don't bring up the engine differences cause PGR(Kuro's game) also uses Unity and that game visual is also better than genshin
The 5.0 "QoL" update was such a fking scam, like why tf would they hide a lot of important infos about like the relic stats selector where you can freely choose the sub stat that has a cooldown that feels like millenia, the pokemons or those goofy ahh creatures being region locked some other ways of exploring which again is content locked to natlan only💀 💀 💀 💀 💀
That's why i don't care so much about gacha revenue because no matter if that game earn so much money if the company don't use the money they earn to improve the game.
Genshin Day 1 player here, at first Genshin really look stunning and wonderful, but after 4 years the dev should start listening to players just like what kuro did. I know they're different games but why don't do something positive that others developer do?
Because they are too complacent lazy. I'm a patch 1 player too and not just WuWa but even compared to other hoyo games they are pretty lazy in animation department, their old game HI3 even they started including short animated scenes in the story during their second years onwards and even ZzZ does better in that department. The genshin devs know no matter what they throw the brainwashed fandom will jump at it.
After the first update (Dragonspine), I knew the game file was gonna get too ridiculously large with 7 regions n more... I hoped they would at least add more gestures, especially to camera pose like other games do... At this point, Genshin would have benefited from being a visual novel story telling like they did Hi3 or 2d art, if they were going to have them stand around talk so long with the same 5 gesture+idle and 5 expression. Which is still weird to me, because they have shown they CAN rig different expressions and gestures, in CG and dynamic cutscenes.
Lmao what do you want them to do? Remaking the whole animation that not only will increase space but make people with weaker devices unable to play it? only cash grabs like wuwa need to look pretty to attract the less fortunate
The expressions, lip syncing, lighting, camera angles, and details on the model are just superior in WuWa imo. Just in the opening of this video, look at how shorekeeper’s eyes, lips, and eye brows dynamically move as her expressions and dialogue changes.
Ngl the devs lost such a gem, genshin was the first game that made them popular yet they only care about money. If they listen to their players since the very beginning then it will definitely look fantastic but no they waste half of the time on nothing, I'm really sad. Genshin deserves to have improvement like the other games of hoyo like ZZZ and Hsr. They've just focusing on them and not genshin....I'm blaming hoyo for this making a huge game yet decided to put it in trash
I've been exclusively playing WUWA for the past months, and I found out the longer you play WUWA the more you notice how robotic/unalive Genshin characters are.
I love genshin but this is one of my biggest icks. If you are going to make a game with a overload of talking then at least make it interesting to watch the characters, or more voices for major quest like Aranara. That is why I liked Furina's act in AQ, there was a lot of expression and inner thoughts going on with her.
That's why I ledt Genshin a while ago, Im forced to watch shlt for hours just for 20-40 primos, is this the GREAT story ppl talk about? These people havent read a single good novel in their lives. Genshin is child story
WuWa is too good for a gacha game tbh. They do good camera work on almost every bit of dialogue and THEN still allow you to just hit the skip button. And the character’s faces are even expressive.
Bro yeah I like to just perch at the highest points in the map and observe the sky when playing WuWa, though the stars in the night sky makes my astigmatism act up lol. It's still good, 10/10 would always stargaze again, astigmatism be damned
@@reko8324 i have played AAA title like dark soul, bloodborne DMC 5 etc and i bought them, I am just saying that It's a insult of wuwa to be compared to genshin animation. It's like comparing a AAA title to a indie game
I noticed this too, recently, even with Honkai Star Rail, when I finally got around to catching up to the story. Completely lifeless statues compared to WuWa. Hoyo can fund a fusion reactor but can't bother to put any effort into their in-game cutscenes. Getting kind of fatigued of lazy hoyo-slop honestly. I hear they're developing like 5 more games or something too, they're turning into a gacha factory churning out underbaked slop. Oh well, people keep paying for it, until they don't. Ubisoft learned that lesson recently.
This what makes the Wuwa experience immersive. When the characters act like they have emotions and react correctly to certain situations. Genshin is outdated compared most games that came out recently. Hopefully it’ll see a quality upgrade like HI3.
The amount of detail kuro puts into thing is what makes them deserving all these attention and love (fk the haters tho). It's just crazy how brainwashed those weird fanatic genshitters saying wuwa cutscenes, story, dialogues, voicelines,OST 💀 and lore are shit and empty like how exactly? Story is actually progressing for the MC, we are learning about his connection and history of this world while solving its everyday problems whenever we come across one, we even had a glimpse of his morality with the way he/she treated shorekeeper who was made as a tool for the tethys system leaving the blackshores in order to find another solution although rover already knew the best solution at that time he/she refused to sacrifice someone just for the sake of greater good, and how rover lead the people of the blackshores with empathy when we were still the sole leader of it things like that give depth to our mc and this chapter was phenomenal as hell and im exicited for the future patches as a pgr player myself I can trust them with story writting. Meanwhile genshin mc, how do I even describe on how much a disappointment traveller is 4 years and still no major information about him/her, and bros not even close to achieving our goal of reuniting with their sibling and they focus more on other characters (literally felt like bro was more of a side character than the mc) in each region which is bores me to death and theres barely any good arcs in the damn story besides Fontaine. HSR MC personality wise is nice yes but again the story is still not that focused to the mc no info besides being a former stellaron hunter and being blessed or being gazed by multiple aeons, we did learn about the former passengers of the astral express which is nice in penacony which for the first time actually had good story, belobog was lacking as hell, xianzhou just felt empty and inconsistent in story cuz how the hell did one of the most feared existence in the universe just get his ass beaten by 2 children and not even the damn powerhouses like the generals like bruh and still felt it didn't even climax yet All in all I still think wuwa for the past 4 months was able to bring out better experience than the 2 games it almost reminds me of Hi3 story writing which I really loved
This comment show what you really are,you said there is no information about the MC but we already know they are from another planet that got destroyed looking for new home, what else do we need to know? Basically bunch of excuses yeah
@@Asm0sday Yeah and thats barely any info for a game that has 4 years into their belt, like give some backstory into why he acts like this like just smthn thta gives depth to his character but nop they only dropped where their origin and left it at that, a huge disappointment of a mc. We had more stories about the side characters than the mc so why even bother making the mc when the story is focused on the side characters more? "Terrible OST" people with musical background say otherwise. Your comment alone describes youre a hardcore hoyoshill thinking its the only good game that exists, just hating cuz wuwa is doing better and the fact they had more improvements in every aspect of the game in the span of 5 months than a game with 4 years says a lot about you as a player 😬🙏🏻
Wuwa music is nothing compares to Genshin music. And Genshin story Is definitely way better and the lore are more rich and connected than wuwa. @@hafann Saying the music is "nothing compared to genshin" a bit of a stretch yes genshin currently has better music but that doesn't make wuwa music bad but with their rate of improvement surpassing them in that aspect is plausible in the near future, Ofc the lore is more rich it has already 4 years worth of update into its lore and world building but I personally enjoyed 1.3 update of wuwa than when genshin was still 1.3. What I hate the most in genshin is of how much the mc gets sidelined a lot and doesn't get proper importance into the story and gets some power up in a desperate moment bros basically a plot device like cmon its already 4 years and we barely know anyting beside bro coming from a different planet unlike in wuwa main quest the mc actually feels like the mc having great importance and focus to the story of each faction introduced and I'm not even gonna forget the "QoL" updates having a lot of info being hidden by the devs and once again is using it milk more profit and some stuff being region locked which actual bs. Been playing genshin since released and I've gotten tired of the dev and the way they execute the game and I'm not saying wuwa have the perfect start it was rough lotta shit was happening and it was a mess but at least it only takes a patch for the improvements the players wants to come which actually what makes me side with kuro more than hoyo, they listen to feedbacks and deliver the player's needs which genshin devs failed to do so not until it got a competitor but still yet again those "qol" updates felt like a scam to me

Why do people always says "but genshin has a good story tho compared to wuwa" who said the story in genshin is bad, the only complain is that how they deliver the story is boring and mid asf.
But story in genshin got “good” only mostly in fontaine and started feel something in sumeru tho. Nothing worthy of praise in 1.0, 2.0 only nice OST and visuals were saving it. WuWa 1.0 story is a mess really but now starting feel good.

You should make a comparison between when shorekeeper is able to grab and drink a cup of tea and a genshin character extending their hand to show a floating / picture of an item 😂
Gotta save them budget for hohoverse 2

Or whenever a character is supposed to perform an action during dialogue, it's off frame and Hoyo is like "use your imagination". Is it the limitations of Unity or Genshin team just don't care about presentation?
Hoyo sees visual novel and be like : yup, we're doing that
Genshin is an old game and changing that will have to make new a new game. And wuwa was made by UE5 that’s why the game has cinematic and amazing animation
Ahh yess... 4 years of making dialogue with the same animation

True
It is 1000% to do with its old anim engine.
Saying hoyo doesn't know cinematography is just disingenuous.
Ya'll do these comparisons but then immediately dodge doing them when it comes to their later games like ZZZ.
You can't expect them to redo their entire animation base from 4 years ago (especially since the original devs are likely not around anymore). 90% the playerbase won't even care for these changes either way.

ZZZ is not Genshin. What the f are with this shills. Me critizing genshin doesn't mean i criticize you mother that is hoyoverse.

Brooo they didn't even bother to sync the lips, even ZZZ and HSR managed to do that, what's keeping them from doing it?????
One thing I notice is that the sync lisping of Genshin is to match body movement, and as you know different dub = different timing of speech and body action. This result to slower body movement as we can see in both HSR and WuWa, meanwhile Genshin body movement is faster, a bit more realistic and anime like. @@-amel-9896Ah yes 4 years of story yet the MC still trash, comparing a new game that is currently on it's 3rd major patch🤦
Truly a hydrogen bomb(wuwa) vs coughing baby(GI) moment
no one, absolutely no one can defend genshin at this point cus wuwa is getting better in everything everyday and proved that you can make changes even after you released the game
bluelock season 2 is way more impressive than genshin animation holyshit
In my country, many people from different game groups state that Wuwa characters' movements are too stiff and they look emotionless. It seems things aren't as true as they say 🤷
Edit: I only mean to refer to a large amount of certain people, not any specific group of individuals. Chill guys 😅
Maybe they spent too much time on reddit
Those guys are high. Maybe if you’re comparing to an amazing 2d animation or a triple A single player game focused especially on cinematography but otherwise nope
Did they even play the game 💀
Ain't no way bro.
I bet they didn't even play the game.
Broo I bet most GShills never tried Wuwa in first place and just lurking through Bad review video to say bad thing about Wuwa
I hope they make rover talk every choices we choose
I agree
I love the voice of the Male Rover in all languages, but my favorite is English _😖😩💅🏻🤭_
And in the main mission of 1.3 the Rover spoke a lot most of the time
And more so when he gave the speech to the members of BlackShores to rebel against the Thetys system _🧐🗿_
Or atleast mc should talk when there is only single option given
Wuwa's dialogue is almost like baldur's or witcher's conversation, have variety of movements and camera angles that makes it alive even when they just re-use the animation assets
While genshin is like skyrim, oblivion or starfield's style
i mean Indy-million dollars company vs Top Tier Multi-million dollars company. there's no excuses for genshin to be this bad they have all the money and resources to improve the game and the fact that they have 4 years time to do it but still giving their fans bare minimum is insane. don't bring up the engine differences cause PGR(Kuro's game) also uses Unity and that game visual is also better than genshin
The 5.0 "QoL" update was such a fking scam, like why tf would they hide a lot of important infos about like the relic stats selector where you can freely choose the sub stat that has a cooldown that feels like millenia, the pokemons or those goofy ahh creatures being region locked some other ways of exploring which again is content locked to natlan only💀 💀 💀 💀 💀
That's why i don't care so much about gacha revenue because no matter if that game earn so much money if the company don't use the money they earn to improve the game.
multi billion dollar company actually... but just copy pastes character animations from 1.0 coz people still pay for their recycled slop
The problem with kuro is that they listened too much and now their story went from bad to worse. And they still haven't fixed the optimization issues
@@nobody-xh6iiwait what? The black shore story was definitely an upgrade tho? In my opinion at least
Wow maulani can talk without her mouth moving
this is the comparison between devs that’s actually trying and devs that doesn’t have any plan on improving their visual qualities
Bruh genshin looks so uncanny ngl, the eyes are so huge and wide apart
Thats called anime you tourist
@@Keiki-kun It's called failed proportions you buffoon
4 years still no skip option. Did they don't know that not every player play for story?? .
The story is great tho. Like if Genshin story is for child then WuWa story is what? For a baby still in the womb?
Still pictures is the highest level of interaction complexity genshin can offer 💀
Good lord, its been 4 yrs and Genshin didnt change too much wirh its animations lol
Wuwa models are just so good. Its cool that we've come this far with the new games
With the amount of effort Wuwa put in this, they also allow SKIP button lmao. I will never skip wuwa main quest ❤
WuWa is too good for a gacha game tbh. They do good camera work on almost every bit of dialogue and THEN still allow you to just hit the skip button. And the character’s faces are even expressive.
OKAY,WUTHERING WAVES IS A NEXT LEVEL,WE GET IT, I wil play......
good choice
Still not enough to convince me on returning. (on both games)
@@NIRGLIDEme too, me found cute/hot/beautiful anime girl who is newly released in GI/Wuwa/HSR/ZZZ, me go to R34 😎
@@exgenesis4457why play when you can just fap 😂
Nah bro this game is too broken and full of bugs and glitches
Not worth
wuwa : proper auto dialogue
genshin : super loud sound click for next dialogue
if any of these games had come before genshin, i would never have started genshin
😂
I already said that it felt more immersive, cinematic and expressive in WuWa.
it's even better in the new camelleya story quest, there's a lot of motion in these recent story quests im obsessed with it 🥰
I love seeing night star at Wuthering waves especially at blackshore now , so beautiful and black shores theme its so good it relaxing
Bro yeah I like to just perch at the highest points in the map and observe the sky when playing WuWa, though the stars in the night sky makes my astigmatism act up lol. It's still good, 10/10 would always stargaze again, astigmatism be damned
All the Genshin budget went to ZZZ
All to simulate that Jane Doe ass jiggle
AAA title vs normal indie game
Don't insult indie games like that😠
nah, genshin is quadruple A!
only sharing the same category to one other game!
@@ambulance-kun5915lmao it's not aaa
Go play real aaa kiddo
Genshin is hot garbage even in revenue it could reach aaaa
@@reko8324 i have played AAA title like dark soul, bloodborne DMC 5 etc and i bought them, I am just saying that It's a insult of wuwa to be compared to genshin animation. It's like comparing a AAA title to a indie game
@@reko8324he meant AAAA cuz the only other AAAA game is skull and bones which is hot garbage, but is still better than genshin LMA
And they say wuwa is dull game.
Funny how shorekeeper is an AI but has more deep conversations than a genshin character
Hoyo when they learn of "Tears effect":
-Every story Act, we got a character crying 🤣
Shore keeper is just so gorgeously beautiful ❤
must protect
This what makes the Wuwa experience immersive. When the characters act like they have emotions and react correctly to certain situations. Genshin is outdated compared most games that came out recently. Hopefully it’ll see a quality upgrade like HI3.
Bro what the heck this really highlights the difference so well. Wuthering waves is so damn beautiful
HSR MC personality wise is nice yes but again the story is still not that focused to the mc no info besides being a former stellaron hunter and being blessed or being gazed by multiple aeons, we did learn about the former passengers of the astral express which is nice in penacony which for the first time actually had good story, belobog was lacking as hell, xianzhou just felt empty and inconsistent in story cuz how the hell did one of the most feared existence in the universe just get his ass beaten by 2 children and not even the damn powerhouses like the generals like bruh and still felt it didn't even climax yet
All in all I still think wuwa for the past 4 months was able to bring out better experience than the 2 games it almost reminds me of Hi3 story writing which I really loved
This comment show what you really are,you said there is no information about the MC but we already know they are from another planet that got destroyed looking for new home, what else do we need to know? Basically bunch of excuses yeah
Also ost in wuwa is still really bad,so I don't know why are you even protecting that game ost
And Of course WuWa graphics are miles better than Genshin. I understand you are very biased towards WuWa but cmon now don't talk like there are no positive aspects of Genshin. They are both a great game
Been playing genshin since released and I've gotten tired of the dev and the way they execute the game and I'm not saying wuwa have the perfect start it was rough lotta shit was happening and it was a mess but at least it only takes a patch for the improvements the players wants to come which actually what makes me side with kuro more than hoyo, they listen to feedbacks and deliver the player's needs which genshin devs failed to do so not until it got a competitor but still yet again those "qol" updates felt like a scam to me
billions of dollars goes to a live service game to reuse the outdated asset from 4 years ago.
The eyes are the window to the soul. Kuro did it well🎉🎉🎉
Kyaaaaa~ Shorekeeper my beloved waifu. I'm so glad we can protect her smile, I thought they gonna go with sad ending and I almost cursed Kuro for that. I had enough Nanami PTSD 😭 I love Rover as MC, we are truly the ultimate rizzlord 😂
I wanted to make episode like story for Hoyo games but there is like bare minimum cinematic shots to make it like an episode
But in the other hand Wuwa really make me feel like I'm watching a movie and If I ever make an episode wise series of a Gacha game it would be Wuwa cause it's hella easy
Why does shorekeeper look like shes actually alive💀 they did a little to well on the animation
WuWa 1.0 story is a mess really but now starting feel good.
natlan is next level tho
And the thing is genshin is capable of making great cut scenes, and improve the dialogues yet they chose not to
