How about a Hooka in that intro LOL! Side mount looks like something I'd like to learn as a scuba diver. Rough rocky shore entry and exit, is this a con for this technique and one would be better with on the back?, Less likely to get hooked up in kelp etc or crazy fisherman's 60lb lines?
In these situations, do you consider the possibility to take off the BCD before entering the restriction, or to dive without? Or this possibility is out of the training?
You're crazy! :) I love diving and enjoy your videos. But sometimes I worry about you. Good to see that you have all that backup when you do these demos.
Hi Steve ..thank you for all your wonderful videos...I have been learning a lot...and even noticed afterwards that my Cave Instructor must be a big fan of yours....I am not sure if I remember you telling in one of your videos or not...just a simple question, quite sure this is not the right place, sorry to all :-) - would you recommend Cave Diving with Rock Boots?...thanks a lot....
One thing you didn’t show in the video is that you can unclip both tanks from the back (but still have shoulder strap on them) and hold them out in front, Superman style
That technique is rarely used, it just looks cool, which is why people like it, I guess. It actually occupies both hands and means if exploring you cannot run a reel or use a dive light easily, you also get twists in the loop bungee to, so I never use it any more to be honest. All you need mostly to pass a restriction is to remove one cylinder completely and make it handheld, I find.
Steve, what are your thoughts about the xdeep sidemount system? I'm think it is tough, and have really nice features to it.. can you give me a feedback? thanks! crystal clear waters (and wrecks dives) =D
@@OffRoadRN Except you're seeing more and more, especially in sidemount. People are finally acknowledging they're pretty damned reliable, and a loss of pressure readings in bottom gas is not fatal IF you are diving within gas plan/limits.
No regualtors were damaged in the making of that video ;) Still do not try this at home, diver has advanced level cave training and years of experience.
We dive to relax and see the wonders and beauty of the underwaters, not to squeeze ourselves in cracks and holes. What you gained from seeing the inside of a rusty wreck. I was worried about your safety while watching the video. Amazing but not interesting at all.
Based on the title, this was not the video I was expecting. Giggedy. ;)

"...and diet"
Lmao, I got wide broad shoulders to begin with, I'd be screwed!

I dont think a back mount could fit through that lol Big props on maintaining trim so well with all that weight shifting around :D
waouhhh incroyable!!

The small holes are hard on hoses and equipment

Crazy but good ! Le mec trop fort ! Très très bonne vidéo avec fond sonore super...
amazing! what camera did you use here?
Che spettacolo!
How do you manage to observe the pressure info on each tank on the wireless dive computer? On a wrist mounted dive comp.
There are electronic pressure sensors attached to the HP 1st stage that relay the info to the dive computer.
Each tank has its own SPG.
You will find very, very few technical divers relying on air integrated systems.

Respect...
Steve Marten The Best :))
I would only do this if it was an emergency. This is hard on equipment.
wow...just wow...

My father was on this dive with him :)
and he is a good diver and very special man x
