Very crisp advice for the NRI investors. It is a cautionary note for youngsters aspiring to own or construct big houses during the early part of their life abroad.
Sir very good information. My question is that I have money to buy house in India which I need post my retirement in 2030.Is it wise to goahead and purchase the property or invest in good mutual fund portfolio?.The property purchase place is Goa.
Sir, your guidelines are very much realistic and practical. But most of the people are invaded by so called modern culture thereby they fail to think about their real capacity/affordability.
Can u give 100 percent guarantee that mutual fund will give sufficient capital to buy a big house. Then y they warn mutual funds are subjected to market risks?
Very informative video. I have two small houses and one plot. I want to build a house by selling my existing houses. If I sell both the houses, will my long term capital gain be exempted if I use this money in constructing another house or I should have to buy a built up house. Pls clarify Sir.
What is the right time to sell a house or apartment ? If as a owner I decide to not live in the apartment in same town and decide to move to my parents ancestral home in another town , considering all loan is paid off against the apartment and also apartment is 8 years old in a good locality and also I can rent it out , would it be wise to rent it for a long time or to sell it after a fix time ? Considering the market and age of the apartment? What are the technicalities to consider ? Before selling it

Excellent idea. For me it is 30 years old mistake. When no such sharing expert's opinion were available. Present generation can really think well before making decisions. Thank you for your expertise.
In Mumbai city property rates compete with New York and Tokyo... So bigger houses are out of question. Even bare minimum size is terribly out of reach of the most... There are no easy answers... Nxt generation got to think 100 times before buying their own sweet home... Marrying and having kids complicate things further... Things are ok till they are with parents but once move out its tough and after having kid / kids life becomes hell... I wonder lot of times how our society functions wherein marraiges, kids kill larger joy of living instead of enhancing it...... What advise i can give it to my child on these matters....China,Japan and many western countries facing depopulation precisely coz of hellish cost of living and unimaginable responsibilities of raising a life... Am not suggesting extrmes but again no easy answers.
