    Im building my house 5years before my retirement. Last year is already finish and have 2rooms up syair for rent. 3 years from now plan to retired at the age of 55 years old. I invest my money for insurance, pension plan, 7 hectares of farmland, gasoline Station, buy some gold and have little savings for emergency. My daughter also have a stable job.     Let’s wait to fulfill all the points and by the time we fullfill the points , we will find the property prices have already skyrocketed and u will have to live in rented house under the glitch of the house owner and keeping ur dream house always as a sweet dream.

    In Australia, you can rent a 2 bedroom home for Aus $1300 per month at the same time you can buy a home on mortgage $2000 per month. But you will need a deposit of $80,000. We rented for about 13 years before buy one for us. You will need a full time good employment to get a loan

    Sir, you missed one more important point. We should also consider is there any chances of property appreciation or depreciation. If it's first case, then it's better to buy the property as investment for future.

      @@NRIMoneyClinic I really appreciate the way you have explained things crystal clear. It is correct you may earn a good capital appreciation from MF, but don’t you think the capital appreciation from Real Estate comes with a lesser risk compared to MF.

    Due to covid, there is no market for houses. One can buy on mortgages if there is the ability to repay.

      It is infact a smart idea to rent rather than buying an expensive property in city. But however if you plan to settle down in the city then you can consider selling the bungalow in small city and buy a property using the proceeds in the bigger city

    Bought Apartment and got cheated by stupid builder and money locked for 7 years , even today all work not completed Maintenance price is too high . Govt in hands with such cheaters and middle class suffer. No resolution to any problems. Now thinking could have lived in a rental house

      That's why under construction properties have discounted prices, there is a risk but the builders won't tell you that

      In India, all builders are fraud. Unfortunately, the law is on the builder side, not on the buyer side. I had booked my house in 2009, paid 95% of money. No possession yet. Case is with the Supreme court for the past 8 years, no verdict yet. No support from the state or center govt. either.
