    People talk a lot about Inoue's "power". I think Inoue is characterized much more by precision. He is like a super doctor that knows the weakest spots of human body with the god hands to actually destroy those spots. Though he is rather slim still, compared with the muscular build ups of other so-called power fighters, he is fully aware of his own body and utilizes his entire body perfectly to create power.
    His defence skill also critically supports his attacks. Wilder got completely worn down by Fury's punches and his power and precision were largely gone as time went by in the second and the third of the trilogy. Inoue, on the other hand, scarcely has gotten hit seriously and thus has been almost unilaterally on the attacking side and has been able to maintain the quality throughout the fights. He is perfect even right after hitting the opponent. It is just like zanshin 残心 in kendo 剣道 -- you are always prepared for the opponent's next attacks. The only exception was vs. Donaire 1 though somehow he also maintained stamina throughout the 12 rounds.

      Muscle mass and size almost never determine power. Also, such things are never said about Mexicans and Hispanics, even though they're often slim or short in height. Usually, only Asians are singled out for being powerful despite being thin and people are surprised when thin Asians have power but they're not surprised when thin people of other races have power. I wonder why. I'm not saying you're prejudiced or racist or anything, and a lot of that prejudice is subconscious. It's just kind of disappointing that on a wide scale, people don't think we're strong. Only other Asians know and understand how strong and powerful Asian people are, generally. Even the ones that don't look that way. We know ourselves.

    • @decidrophob
      @decidrophob Год назад +17

      @@jonghoonpark8050 I am a Japanese myself and was interested to see your comment. It may possibly be due to the results in UFC where Asians do not seem to have been doing that well, that martial arts myths have faded away. When I was a kid in an international school in Africa, which is decades ago, I felt that kids of all races justly respected Asian power thanks to Bruce Lee and so forth.
      Also, talking about UFC, I think Adesanya had to be patient till everybody was finally convinced that his attacks are very powerful despite his being very slim. So, maybe it is not only Asians that suffer from the stigma that slim guys may lack power.
      Coming back to Inoue's power narrative, even in Japan, people talk a lot about his power (though not with the comment on his slim shape). He is indeed much more powerful than the vast majority of past Japanese champions. When you see his training session videos, it is pretty scary.
      I still want to say however that Inoue is much more unique in the combination of other skills which enables power punches in the actual elite fights. Many guys can probably punch sandbags harder than Inoue but almost nobody can excute the same power in fights. Exactly like the most powerful Bruce Lee famously said in a film "boards don't hit back".
      Butler already lost by the time I am making this comment. His decent comments almost exactly coincide with mine. He said that Inoue's power was just as excpected and that he could cope with Inoue's head shots alone. He praised Inoue's fight IQ and other skills even more.

      @jonghoonpark8050 Год назад +7

      @@decidrophob I see. I understand. Well, my opinion of why Asians aren't doing as well in MMA as other countries, is because the sparring culture in Asian gyms is a little bit too civilized most of the time. For example, most Asian athletes would be concerned about getting kicked out of their gym forever if they were seen as arrogant, too aggressive, etc. The goal is to be aggressive, but Asian social politics destroys any chance of guys going as hard as they can in sparring to prepare for the UFC. Asians also know that if someone crosses the line in sparring, there's going to be a war and a vendetta that will continue until they feel like justice has been served. Asians perform very well in actual wars, but because of the extreme black and white thinking in Asia, and because of the social politics and fear of being shunned forever, Asian gyms don't spar with the brutality and the intensity that's necessary for UFC level competition. Of course, Thailand is a different story. In Japan, you have to find the right gym with coaches who understand the old mentality, where the goal is to kill someone or else get killed. In Korea, where I am, the old mentality is dying, so you actually might get kicked out of a gym if you break someone's ribs. Or the other guys will shun you.

There is no way his frame and body structure will keep growing like that 😂😂 the max he’ll fight at is maybe 126 and he’ll be massively smaller compared to though guys. 122 might be his last division.

    • @billychan6368
      @billychan6368 Год назад

      @@KuKuKlock123 inoue did state that he'll max his weight at 126 too! He said he'll fight at 122 and 126 and won't move up anymore then that! He already walks around at 140 or 135 or something like that and has to drop down to 118 for his fight so cutting that much weight is probably hard on his body and his small frame! Did you also know that inoue fought and won a belt at 108 and totally skipped 112 altogether and fought at 115 and won a belt there and now he's running through everyone in his division at 118 and just recently became undisputed? So, all the peeps and haters saying inoue hasn't fought anyone is retarded cause moving down to that many weight classes and winning belts in those divisions speaks volume!
