In the UK, the Edge 40 Pro wins hands down at the moment. You can get it directly from Lenovo for £600. You can get the 11 directly from OnePlus for £629 but it's not in stock. And it's the 128gb model. The Moto is the 256gb version. I'd rather have the extra storage - 12gb of RAM is plenty and I can't imagine a scenario where I'd need the extra RAM. Moto has the better IP rating, brighter higher refresh rate screen (albeit lower resolution, but 1080+ is plenty and you can't see the pixels), better HDR support, longer battery life, faster charging, wireless charging, more stable and less buggy software that looks and feels like Android (albeit with slower updates), Victus vs GG5. And I don't know if OnePlus still throttles refresh rates on games but they do on my 8t.

Extremely interesting video to say the least. I've owned a Motorola before and found them to be very good and reliable phones but I've never had a. One plus and don't know anyone who does own 1.Having said that these comparisons are always interesting and fun to watch because you learn what. Features are available at different price ranges. Now. I may not buy either phone but at least I know if I can recommend it to somebody. Who has ex amount of money dismissed. Not everyone can afford? An iPhone or an S series Samsung but there are plenty of excellent phones out there as you have pointed out. Not only. Are your videos informative and easy to understand but your sense of humor makes them enjoyable as well :).Well done, you have a friend in Columbus, Ohio!

I don't think there's a real winner. These phones are so close to each other in every category, both being the best buys of flagship phones of this year, that individual preferences will decide the deal. Some notable differences are:
Motorola has faster USB connection, Ready For feature(s) and the usual Moto functions, practically stock Android and louder speakers. OnePlus has overall a slightly better camera package and a sharper screen. There are of course other differences, most of them minor, but those are the ones I consider worth pondering personally.

Oneplus- more Ram, better speakers, haptic intensity controls.
Mototola- currently $200 cheaper, 2x bugger storage, better camera.

As a OnePlus user of several years (currently on an 8t), I would say don't rely on the software releases being bug free. They have slowly been getting worse and worse in this regard, and now OxygenOS isn't even that anymore. And OnePlus has form for reneging on software promises. The 8t was due to receive 3 Android versions and it's likely to only receive 2.
My OnePlus is due for replacement, not because of the hardware, but because of the worsening software. Overnight battery drain, horrible gesture recognition, issues with certain well known apps crashing. And the button placement drives me mad too. I've taken more accidental screen shots than I can count, and held the power button down without even knowing, so many times it's silly.
    End of rant!

Thanks for the lively comment 🤘 Trust me - Motorola surely ain't delivering too much on their software promises either. But - both companies may improve from now on :-)

Thanks for your review, but there is a big problem with Motorola's support, the OnePlus update even midrange phone to android 13 and now realise A14 beta for OnePlus 11, but last flagship from Motorola moto edge 30 ultra still running android 12 with many bugs, and if you go to moto community and request to fix bug or where is updated you will be banned. Small search will show you everything

Still using Motorola edge Plus 2020. Android 12 was the last update for it, and the Snapdragon 865. It still performes very fast, huge battery lasts forever. I have zero bugs or issues with it. I literally plan on keeping it as long as it performs this well. I used to have apple, but I'm more than happy with my Motorola.

Very nice review 👍 Easy and fun to watch. I would take OP11. But in the budget class Motorola is now the king 👑 with 3 new stunning looking models with decent specs too and all available 8n with vegan leather finish and 256 gb of storage, they are Motorola Moto G84, Motorola Edge 40 Neo and a few months ago released Motorola Edge 40. All 3 have a 50mp main camera with OIS. All my choices in the budget to midrange price range, here in Finland 🇫🇮: Moto G84 is 299€, Edge 40 Neo is 399€, Edge 40 is 499€.

Thanks for the comment :) I haven't tried the 40 Neo yet, but sure it looks the one to get from the newest launches. And as you say the regular Edge 40 is also a good buy.

In Denmark, the Moto is actually more expensive than the Oneplus. But it may vary depending on the region :)

I have the Pixel 7 pro and the tensor chip is garbage. The phone overheats by just browsing the web and the battery sucks. Im gonna get the Oneplus 11. Ive owned a lot of OP phones through the years and they just know how to make phones work the way phones should work.

    • @YOURTECHFRIEND

I agree, the Tensor chip needs work! Hope they can fix it to the Pixel 8. Oneplus 11 is one of the best phones out there right now - a sure buy!
