I'd say the Lake District is the most beautiful part of England. Much of the Southwest Coast Path is also very picturesque.
The lake District is stunning.
My favourite place in the UK, by far, is Old Dungeon Ghyll.
The perfect escape from life. No phone signal, good company, good beers and in winter, A HUGE roaring log fire.
Perfection!
Very fond memories of the Lake District on my visit to England in the late '90s. I grew up on Arthur Ransome's wonderful books so the area was especially meaningful for me. It did not disappoint.
The Lake District is often very crowded in summer. The narrow, twisting, rural country lanes aren't designed for heavy traffic. If you're going in summer, book accommodation well in advance.
Look at Northumberland. Holy island, bamborough castle. Gorgeous! In the last video on the Romans they were walking Hadrian’s wall which decides Northumberland from Scotland.
The town of Keswick. Beautiful, and right on the lakeside of Derwent Water. Very pretty.
This film reminded me of the 1950s films they used to show us in middle school of my county of Norfolk
May is a good time to go to the Lakes, just before the main tourist season 😎
Totally agree👍
I managed the Haweswater Hotel for about 18 months, spectacular setting throughout the year, winter was truly wonderful to see the snow all around on the tops, we got snowed in a couple of times and sadly had to put our feet up in front of the open fire as guests couldn't get there.
I just added a video of walks in the Lake District. The fells that is. Literally, 5 hours ago. I’ve got a few on my little channel. I’ve loved the Lakes for all my 67 yrs.
If you go to the Lake District, remember it rains a lot there so go prepared. I went a long time ago and it rained non stop for 4 days, whereupon we left because we had enough. We went on to North Wales and enjoyed several days of lovely sunshine.
Love the Lakes and Dales but, for me it's the Forest of Bowland. Etched into my life by many trips out there with mum and dad as a young boy.
Symonds Yat and the Wye Valley are very beautiful. The views are simply wonderful.
If you look on RUclips, Conaston water was where the Bluebird crashed whilst Donald Campbell was attempting the water speed record. He crashed there.
To see more of the Lake District check out some of the Coast to Coast RUclips clips. The route starts at St Bees and ends on the other side of the country in Robin Hoods Bay, a total of 195 miles. I have walked it twice, first when I was 25 the next when I was 40. Ten days is the average time it takes to walk the full 150 miles. For me the favourite place is Borrowdale, just soutth of Keswick, second favourite is Ennerdale.
For some reason I thought you guys had been "up North", if not you've got to spend sometime in the land of the Industrial Revolution (Manchester/Liverpool) and the Lake District.
The mountais are graded from easy to difficult. Any good guide book will give routes up and down the mountain. I can see the Lake District mountains from where i live in Cumbria.
With out a doubt my favorite place in the Lake District is Buttermere but I love all the rest as well having visited many times including the Castle which I think has one of the best views in all the Lakes from its boundary wall
Did you notice at the beginning they said 16 million visitors a year. It is not a very big area - That would be a good reason to plan your visit before or after the school holidays. You can do that because you home-school your children. Lake Coniston is great - it was the basis of the books about the Swallows and Amazons, and also Lake Windermere has connections with Swallows and Amazons. there have been films and videos on RUclips. Enjoy your visit.
My favourite place guys, but Scotland is also a must place to holiday.
Love your videos, comments, reactions. Hope that you are enjoying living in the UK.
You'd also love Wales in the North you have Snowdonia that is similar to the lake District but higher & a Slate mine,Both you access on Railways,Snowdon is Britains only Funicular rack & pinnion steam railway,in the South is Pembrokeshire that is truly senic & everywhere their are Castles.
England's most beautiful Americans react... haha nowt like blowing your own trumpet!
Fun fact.. only one of the "lakes" in the Lake District is actually a lake. The others are waters, tarns or reservoirs.
Only one has Lake in its name. The others include different names for lakes.
@@andrewjones575 Names for different types of lakes or bodies of water actually Andrew.. not just other names for. But thanks for trying to clarify!
love the lake district ,i have also been to the castle also rowed the boat such a beautiful place to visit ,you should take a visit .
I live near the Lake District and it is cold and wet and full of nuclear smells... It is also the best place to buy ice cream, petrol, sugar and pies..
If you want to watch / react to a good video about the super natural goings on at Muncaster castle, may I recommend the 90's UK TV show strange but true, its a series of well document unexplained events in the UK complete with interviews with eye witnesses and reenactments of their accounts. Used to be a really good show, on prime time ITV, it was narrated by Michael Aspel a big name in British television in the 80's and 90's
Here a link to the episode with the muncaster Castle events, its at the 22 minute mark although the other two stories including the one about stocksbridge bypass are really good too ruclips.net/video/yiBWvPunLKU/видео.html

The Scots are the best people you could meet!!
Let me guess; you’re Scottish.
@@paulsmith5218 I talk with experience of Scottish people. Scots are some of the nicest people I have ever met, the same goes for Northern Irish people, whats your take on them? good experiences?
Been to Lake District quite a few times. I live an hour away. It is a very large area and so much to do and see. You can rent a lodge in ullswater which I did for a week. Just beautiful getting up and walking out into the beautiful nature. Also went rowing and took the ferry and mountain climbing. Will be going back soon. There are lots of beautiful tea rooms, cosy cafes etc. If you consider renting a lodge (very reasonable price) and staying awhile I would recommend you book well in advance because the lodges do get booked quite fast unless it’s winter time.I would say it’s one of a number of beautiful places to visit in England.
The Lake District is stunning. Another top spot (though some purists might argue about saying it's in England) - some parts of Cornwall are magnificent.
I have being to The Lake District a few times, I have being to poet William Wordsworth’s grave in Grasmere his house is a museum. I have visited Lake Windermere and Coniston Water as well as Keswick.
Social Media is a funny new thing , great family , glad you're here, hope you stay for as long as you want , always nice to get different points of view, I have family in WA such a beautiful state, but I do love the lakes, very green and rolling , just a very peaceful place, even when it's busy
I’ve done various tours in Scotland, all the guide ever tells you is which Clan killed which. They occasionally bring in the English, but most massacres were perpetrated by Scots on Scots.
The lake District is lovely.
The peak District and the Yorkshire coast are good too
Ps the Isle of Skye is worth a visit.
water-skiing on Windermere is fun and any zip line is an adrenaline rush
Saying Boris would get stuck in the middle of the zip wire. Hilarious 🤣
You worked it out Philipe...as you sit with your book the scenery will change in colour hour by hour. Keswick is a good base to be.
Want an easy pnemonic to remember the Great Lakes = HOMES Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Eric, Superior.
My favourite place- I was born & bred there. If you ever buy a castle up there, I'll come and be a warden for free (& scare the ghosts off!). Aaagh- I'm homesick now..!!
You need to visit the area known for the Industrial revolution (the Midlands) preferably Wolverhampton part of the "black country" because of all of its coal fired factories!
Yes lake district is most beautiful
I don't know if you still have the beard but it suits you
Turned it off to quick missed the best bits
Yeah it’s nice 👌🏻
But have you seen that Scotland place? 😍
Take a look at Alfred Wainwright's life & publication's.
Stating that a place has the most ghosts is ridiculous!
tHERE IS NO "MOST BEAUTIFUL " area in England, there are many! from North to South East to West,
and many many more if you draw in Scotland and Wales !
Lillian looks radiant
You have lost a portion of the program. Maybe as much as 50%.
This channel rarely shows whole episodes of TV shows.
@@andrewjones575 The couple appeared surprised at the sudden end. The program goes in to shops, follows off road driving and other local activities.
