just commenting to remind rich to put the score streaks on: "head to the lobby and tab to the 'Weapons' page. Select 'Killstreaks' and in the bottom left of this menu, you will see a switch between Killstreaks and Scorestreaks that you can press to switch between the two."

You must have auto tac sprint on. The tac sprint sprintout speed specifically is awful on lmgs. The regular sprintout speed is bad but not nearly as awful

How to change from Kill streak to Score Streak :
Open up the menu where you select your streaks, and change it there. ( I don't know the button layout for controller)

Rich this game has scorestreaks btw, you can hop into the killstreak menu and the option is on the bottom left (makes kills needed high so not good for TDM)

It does improve vastly as you get attachments and then the conversion kit is a much bigger jump

I've tried CoD many times and I can never get into this game. Yeah, they made some adjustments but it just favors camping and sniping. There are some nice features like auto-collect for ammo and supplies. Downside is that player movement is slow again favors camping and sniping. Higher ranked players have unlocked better weapons so newcomers just get killed off quickly. It's a "no go" zone for me
