I watched this video a year or so back, and decided right then that I'd have a Road Star for my next bike. Happened last week. Sold my Goldwing a few months ago and bought my new (to me) '06 Roadie with Cobra's. Love it. Thanks you, Fastside!
I bought mine 2 years ago and have no complaints. All I’ve ever done to it was replaced the rear tire, rectifier, stator and changed the oil. I bought it with 20,000 miles on it but it still runs like brand new.
You should REALLY think about selling these systems. I love it man. I make custom exhaust for cars, but I dont have a mandrel bender to make nice smooth bends. Very nice bike and great sound.
Very cool that you made those. Wish I was talented enough to do my own like that. Eventually gonna change my 05 to look like an Ultra Classic. Gotta get a set of exhaust like that
@newall7 You can't go wrong with a Roadie, they're one of the best bikes made and are a favorite for metric customizers. It's getting easier to find custom parts for them.
God has truly blessed you. Best sounding pipes I've heard yet. I'd love to know besides making your own pipes what all did you have to do to her. Did you have to have it tuned?
I've heard busanni, hacker & freedom true duals. none of them sound as good as yours ! fastside, what did you do to create back pressure for improved torque or did you leave them completetly hollow. either way, you hit a home run. those sound swwwweeeeeeeet !! i'd buy a set of those for my R* 1600 in a NY minute. love the bend that allows the pulley cover to be seen.
hey the look great, one of the best custom jobs Ive seen on you tube Im doing just about the same to my bike, suzuki vl800, my fishtails are here, was wondering if yours had baffles, mine dont, and not sure I need them,,,,not on the bike yet....did you need to support them in the back end ?
I would also like to know if you make these for the public. I would love to find someone who could make me a set of true dual fishtail exhaust for my 99 roadstar.
