Is it just me, or do other people find that the road star has some of the best sound of any bike when you put good pipes on. Holy shit that's sweet. I'm picking one up this week, and when I went to look at it, the guy fired it up and I could not believe how great it sounds.
I fail to see how you can make a connection between the two of us, based solely on evidence from one of us. I get that you are trying to shame him by highlighting the fact that he is not wearing a helmet ( leaving aside the issue of whether he is or is not legally allowed to do that where he resides ) , but to even insinuate that I might make that same choice, simply because I comment on the sound of the motorcycle, is perplexing. Why would you cast that aspersion without even a shred of a logical link?
Looks great man. I'm not normally a fan of the flat black powder coatings, but it does look really nice with the paint scheme you've chosen. It sure looks like you did a great job staying true to the plan for your final outcome.
Great looking bike. Sounds good too. How about getting a filter/jet kit on there, to add more oomph and additional good sound? You can get the chrome cover powder coated to match the rest of your awesome looking bike.
sean, just to let you know - a moose out in Wyoming killed your bike lol... I ended up buying a '11 street glide to replace it. had 35k on the roadie, not one prob! -brian - The guy who bought it from you.
Why would a guy who can't even do a u-turn (or ride without being a FOOT-DRAGGER) need more "oomph" from a bike. He is already riding a bike he can't handle.
Funny how the people who ride other bikes than Harley always try to make them look and sound just like Harley. If the Japanese hadn’t had Harley to copy from it would be interesting to see what they could have came up with, there are probably more vintage Harley Davidson bikes in japan now than anywhere in the universe ( THEY LOVE THEM) and pay good money to get them! Nice bike man glad you get to ride the brand that you like.
Terrific bike!! I have a Royal Star 1300. Where did you get these handlebars, what is the features? and the bid of rear luggage rack? Thank you very much!!!
Hey nice bike, I know im chiming in kinda late but but wanted to know if (JUST) the clips from the bags you have could be used on any other bags soft or hard?
looks good nice job. But led lights can't be fixed in the middle of nowhere, i ride about 2000+ miles a month 1157 bulbs are everywhere.if you tail light goes out at night your screwed. just food for thought. unless your always near a bike shop or the house.
I have the Freedom Performance Duals on my RS also. Where did you get your tips? And are the inserts of the tips 2-1/4" or 2-3/8" OD ? Thanks. Nice bike
You lowered the bike 2 inches, but I see you are not flat footed in the bike...You must, I take it be of short stature.I must say the bike is awesome! I would have added a windshield though.BTW>>What year is this? A 1600 or a 1700cc?
What heck is with this James T guy's comments? What a JagBag. My opinion is the bike looks great. I like the whole concept. I would like to see it with a windshield is the only extra I would add. Ok maybe some music also. But that's it.... :)
Great looking bike. You can always tell who the poser bikers are. They can't shut up about their overpriced not really 100% American HD lol. They are just hiding their jealousy because our cheaper to buy and cheaper to work on bikes perform just as good as theirs. Its always cute when they say they bought American made. Get it right tool bags, HD is only American assembled. Guess what, I bought my bike from an American and another American was the manager and owner of the shop, and it was an American that put the bike together. Not to mention Japan is arguably our second closest ally. I am 100% perfectly good with my Yamaha.
Very nicely said the only American bike now is the Indian I have smoked so many HD in drag race I have lost count and was laughing my ass off while beating them I have a 04 roadstar Silverado 1700 and still own it with 32,000 miles on her never been in the shop
Ok, would the guy with the bolt on custom bike, that rode away with JamesT's girl on the back, please bring her back. JamesT needs to borrow some tampons from her. His mangina is bleeding all over this video's comment section.
it was hard for me to read this guy. Stern speech but dressed like a tennis coach. Was the camera lady so afraid to make a mistake she was shaking and crying? None of that mattered once i got to see him attempt that u turn. I was hoping he would be able to keep both feet up and turn in at full lock. What a disappointment and too make it worse this only assures the stereotypes of owning a Star
It isn't an actual style... I'm saying this guy is a poser and his bike is the kind of thing poser's would ride and act like they are some serious part of motorcycle culture. This is literally not a style. This is just a slapped together mix of unplanned ideas that the owner thought woul look "cool". The only "style" it is... is a loosely used term... "custom" Because, yes, it has altered parts and appearance... so it is "customized". But this is for riders that can't build or ride bikes.IMO
When the "driver" is a guy that can't do a u-turn and thinks buying a bunch of slap-on accessories makes him and his bike serious and respectable in the culture. The bikes endless bolt-on accessorizing, zero fabrication/originality, and his walking it around u-turns like a kid with a bmx on training wheels... do you really need to ask? Posers don't know how to ride, get dirty, change the oil, or do anything except say "I have money, make this look 'badass' for me."
Custom bike, fine. Custom WORK? Not a damn ounce of custom work on this bike. Sending bike parts (or, more likely, the whole bike) to someone else to be powder-coated at a shop and have BOLT ON accessories slapped on... is NOT "custom work." Custom may, unfortunately, apply to these poser, desperate for social status, and/or midlife crisis bikers... but saying "nice custom work" is only deserved by those who BUILD or CREATE something. "Work" requires some actual "work."
He also needs to learn how to ride. I had to laugh in disgust by the second time he walked the bike through a u-turn, instead of riding it. He also needs to join an M/C because that is where these slap-on, bolt-on pocketbook-custom riders belong. It is no wonder I can't stand half the riders out there... bunch of "what can I buy to pose my fake social status and comfort my male ego/mid-life crisis?" This isn't a custom, it is the equivalent of a woman accessorizing a dress.
Is it just me, or do other people find that the road star has some of the best sound of any bike when you put good pipes on. Holy shit that's sweet. I'm picking one up this week, and when I went to look at it, the guy fired it up and I could not believe how great it sounds.
I sure hope that you will put a helmet on, since this guy does not seem to believe in safety first?
I fail to see how you can make a connection between the two of us, based solely on evidence from one of us. Mind your own business maybe
Side view, with the bag on. Love the one liner wifey. Go team!!! Well done, both bike and video

He is already riding a bike he can't handle.
Did you mature in the past 7 years?

You lowered the bike 2 inches, but I see you are not flat footed in the bike...You must, I take it be of short stature.I must say the bike is awesome! I would have added a windshield though.BTW>>What year is this? A 1600 or a 1700cc?

What heck is with this James T guy's comments? What a JagBag. My opinion is the bike looks great. I like the whole concept. I would like to see it with a windshield is the only extra I would add. Ok maybe some music also. But that's it.... :)

Rick Clines Wow! What a great detour just to convince yourself
Rick Clines Our bikes outperform most of them too
Very nicely said the only American bike now is the Indian I have smoked so many HD in drag race I have lost count and was laughing my ass off while beating them I have a 04 roadstar Silverado 1700 and still own it with 32,000 miles on her never been in the shop

It looks vintage
i bought it from him a few months ago

Poser bikes generally do.

Dude needs some riding gear. Why does everyone think you're supposed to wear skate shoes while riding?
It isn't an actual style... I'm saying this guy is a poser and his bike is the kind of thing poser's would ride and act like they are some serious part of motorcycle culture.
