When the bosses inflict stuff on your cult it’s just a part of the story. Like with the famine that was inflicted the hunger is only just depleted into the orange so that you can continue the run and sort it out when you get back, you don’t have to quit out if you don’t wanna stop your run. But if you take too long with the run obviously then you have issues so it’s like a cool little timed event.

My toxic trait is believing that the game I heard described as "Animal Crossing but with combat and you run a cult" would be something I could actually beat as someone whose only combat experience in a game is pretty much Stardew Dungeons and Zelda games I never beat/finished.
You can set the combat level to "easy"! You can also adjust it at any time during a playthrough. I lowered it when I started dying on runs (I like a challenge but I don't love spending my limited leisure time failing). Figure I can go back and play on a harder level if I want. But once you've leveled up, getting through is doable (coming from a fellow Stardew and Zelda - not Elden Ring, etc. - player)

As someone who never played intense combat games until recently (The Last Of Us 2 lol), I promise you even though it seems impossible at first you will get better at it. I bought Cult Of The Lamb and I had the same issue; I literally died on the first mini boss lol. But u just keep playing and eventually u improve. Doesn’t matter if you can’t beat it as quickly as Evelyn, she plays games for a living so she’s bound to be better at them than the average person who doesn’t have as much time to put towards them. Cult Of The Lamb is 100% doable! With each and every run you’ll get more and more used to the mechanics and the way the enemies move.
@@clorby22 Thank you for the encouragement. I've been wanting to try survival horror and more serious games. I just think I definitely need to purchase a controller because I don't own any consoles though am eventually going to get one. I'm primarily PC but some of the controls are horrible on PC. The Arkham games are unplayable from what I've found and they're high on my list as a huge Batman fan. I've tried multiple times to get through even an hour of gameplay and the constant changing of perspective unless you have one hand on the mouse is insane.
It looks like such a different experience when you got Twitch Chat backing you up by, among other things, resurrecting all your dead followers in tombs one by one. ^^
Got through episode 2 on youtube and couldn't wait for the rest to release so i went and watched the full vods on twitch LOL. Congrats on finishing the game Looks like a really fun game and your cult was always so organised. Also your twitch chat is so sweet, they just constantly helped you keep the villagers immortal haha
I think I've played too much Oxygen Not Included; every time Gab selects a tarot card powerup in the dungeons, the resulting sound reminds me of the horn that signals someone in danger/dying.
Gab, I think you would either enjoy or hate Blasphemous. It’s a Meteroidvania kind of game that has a really convoluted story. The details are in the description. I love FromSoft games and a buddy recommended it to me and it is both enrapturing and infuriating, similar to Hollow Knight as well lol give it a try? I think there’s a demo 😁

But I think it's bugged.. 😭 I can only get like 6 of my followers to go into the temple for the sermons and stuff (I have like 30 at this point) and I've seen multiple different playthroughs of this game just to see if it's the same for others and no they all go in the temple... is there something I missed I need to do? 😭
@@hallava yeah it's fully upgraded, but I learned it's a console bug, it's happening to almost everyone on every console, and it doesn't seem like the devs will fix it. :/

Have you upgraded the temple? Idk if the "allows more followers to pray" includes the temple too, or just the shrine
