This video has it all. Multiple Guys forgetting their helmet on the truck, tools actively falling off the ladder truck while driving. Burning the tip of the aerial ladder and giggling probies with Santa hats as a new foundation is created.
@@LCERRP I know the grown ass man who plays roblox and drives around on miniature trains isn't flapping his lips. Great job turning a back room fire into a barn burner because of free lanced ventilation.
@shawnnfr yea well that ventilation was not coordinated nor controlled, he was just going around busting windows. Busting windows out loses your ability to control flow path. And he vented right where next to where they entered....not smart to bring the flow path towards the entry team. Front door entry is considered ventilation as well.
I wonder if insurance companies will use footage like this to deny claims and go after the fire departments for their failures. First due crew with no helmet, 4:30 (at minimum with jump cuts) to get water into the hose line and make a push. What started as a small manageable fire with light wispy smoke, turns into a full blow conflagration after the FD arrived.
That one dude with the tablet was quite vocal! I wonder why they didn't get someone on the roof when the ladder arrived to get some ventilation? It must have been zero visibility inside for the longest time.
@@raymondbushey4805the main reason they do it is because there hydrants are terrible and the stretch may need to continue on further down the street with minimal additional companies. The rest of the country including FDNY does perfectly fine just pulling past the building and stretching lines. Copy cat for the sake of copy cat and it’s goofy.
Soo many photographers on the island, need more video buffs !
Great coverage!
Thanks!

Lets not forgot busting every window out while guys are making the push. Unreal.

@@BReese504 there you're wrong. you start venting once you have a crew with a handline inside and an ok from IC.

Nope not how that works
Great video
@@homer218 Thank you!
Amazing footage!
Thank you!
Good video those firefighters were quick to action
few hundred yards to the west and the whole blocks would be in flames.
Don't break the front windows when the guys are advancing in with those changing smoke conditions.
what are you talking about? you start venting when you have a crew with a handline inside and an ok from IC. improving visibility for the guys inside.
hurts to watch -25 year career FF
Oh wow ok didn't know that.. 😂😂

Is this where Belmont Park is located? Just subscribed
Yes, Belmont park is in elmont
Current tactics and strategies in today’s firefighting say this is what not to do.
Oh wow ok didn't know that.. 😂😂
First engine passes hydrant pulls to next town no water on fire seems forever
If you watch. They do like Detroit does. They pull a bundle and reverse out to the hydrant leaving the front for the truck
