Love the grittiness of this filter. How can you tell the difference visually if you're on the bottom 1-4 or top 5-8?
if the LEDs are full lit up then they show 1-4 and if semi-lit > 5-8. Maybe the camera not always shows that perfect difference but it is easy to understand looking at the module

Is there still problem with noise in this module? Or has it been fixed via update? Would be great otherwise.

Can you explain what you would use the bottom VCA cv in jack for? Especially in combination with the CV in for frequency. I see you have cables plugged into both. I understand that the knobs turn into attenuators with CV plugged in. Do you have 2 envelopes or modulation sources going in for this demonstration? And does the unattenuated CV in change the cutoff frequency?
There are two envelope generators involved: the left one is for the filter and the right one for the vca. Typical subtractive synth structure has two similar envelopes as their combination can create wider sound pallete: ie close filter a bit and yet apply very snappy vca envelope for example

how does the cv input is achieved as theres no seperate knob?
manual knobs become attenuators when the cable with cv is inserted in all the SD jacks. VCA cv in is unattenuated cv input. Milky Way has also unattenuated VCA input + final volume control
