I haven’t messed with vms yet. I have a bare metal Kali machine then a usb live boot Kali usb and a usb with a fresh install 😂 never had an issue yet but always smart to have backup plans. Great video!

Indeed, that is a very good alternative! I like VM's simply because it allows me to have multiple OSes without having to have multiple bootable flash-drives, but I do have one bootable usb stick as well, that I use when I'm on the go and don't have my main PC with me.

Hi! I enjoyed your video! Can you discuss your choice of VM? There are so many option for free/open-source VMs. I have used Proxmox directly installed on bare metal, seemed to work but I'm always concerned about security holes and exploits on 'free' OS systems. Sure I can deep dive into VMs & my choices (added to my notes! Thanks for suggesting), I used VirtualBox mostly because it is free & easy to use, but once I manage to improve my skills and my hacking complexity I fully intend on moving to VMware (that is the idea at the moment anyway) I'll share more about this in the future, if I still feel the same way by then

I think you can, you might need to install a few things such as Andronix App and Termux.
But, considering Android (at least) is just a Linux based OS, there is for a sure a way. 😀

The default settings after configuring a new VM, give your VM access to the internet. However, in a future video I'll create a virtual network & connect several VMs together that way, and have one connected to the internet and all the traffic going through that (with pfSense) if you want, you can stay tuned for that 😀
