I saw them live shortly after They Were Wrong, So We Drowned came out. During We Fenced Other Gardens, Angus crouched in front of the bass drum for the chanting part, then bolted to the front of the stage when the instruments kicked back in. It was a high stage, he's like 6' 6" and was wearing a dress, and it's the only time I've seen a band deliver a jump scare during a concert, it was fucking scary when he got up and ran forward like that. Afterward I was out front having a cigarette and Angus burst through the front door and was a hundred meters down the street before I had time to blink, he left in a hurry by himself. They were awesome but their audience sucked, lots of art and music school kids with their arms folded across their chests like, "Go on then, try to impress me."
