I'm sitting in the middle of London on a night shift dreaming of buying some land out in the home counties where I can start my own little homestead. I watch to remind myself why I work 72hrs a week, to some day have a little place to love, take care of and call my own. That and it's such a great channel. ;)

After laying my uncle to rest this past week, watching these videos stirs memories I have of experiencing the Mountains in Colorado with him when I was Jack's age. It fills my heart and mind with fond memories that play over and over.
Jack, treasure every moment you spend and delight that your family spends so much time together and has chosen to document so much of it. One day, far in the future you will sit with your wife and children, and possibly grand children and you will be able to share the joys of your childhood with them. Not only through stories but with these videos. They will bring your childhood rushing back and allow those that follow to truly grasp your experience.

Well, it is obvious where Jack gets his punny humour gene from! It continues to amaze me how much enjoyment I get out of simple "day on the farm" videos. They are more interesting to me than corporate television costing a millions of dollars to create the same length of video. The positive, wholesome nature of a family working together as a team doing a good, honest day's labor uplifts me and restores my faith in humanity. It is easy to see why Jack is growing up to be such an upstanding young man with two role models like you to learn from. Your whole family inspires me with the joy and pride you put into the little things in life. The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

For me, one of the most enjoyable videos you have produced. Seeing the loving and fun interactions in your family makes my day. Jack's penchant for punning is a result of his native intelligence and his love of words and how they can be combined in endless ways in English. Punning is fun and good exercise for the mind.

Just like the guy (except I'm a female) from England commented, I watch for the enjoyment and stories you tell. I really like the music lately too, the popular songs remixed. The end scene with you walking away with all your family after a hard honest days work with the John Denver song made me tear up because you have a beautiful life.

Ah, this reminds me my childhood sooo much. I loved and still love spending my time with my father in the forest working on firewood or what else. And the lunch in fresh air, and chatting, story telling and just working together in nature is so much healing and refreshing. I had a goose bumps watching how peacefully and harmonious your family is working.
Sadly enough I'm stuck for some time in city for studies and just to earn some money but I feel like I'm choking here, I need to go back to the wild... And your videos like this one just at least temporary caries me away to good vibes.
    Thanks!

It warms my heart to see people like you and your family trying to conserve it and help rebuild forests that were lost. As a father of two, I hope to raise my children close to nature and instill in them the importance of it. 11:45 I have been married for over 12 years and I still do things to try and impress my wife. Sometimes if my wife is impressed by me, she can come up with some pretty interesting rewards. I am a lucky man she has given us 2 wonderful daughters, has not aged 5 years and still looks great in a tight pair of pants! I think it is fun to win her interest with manly man skills, it makes us both feel good. I think it is important for a man to not get lazy with his love, treat your wife like you are still trying to win her love regardless of how long you have been together.

Takes me back to my tree planting days in northern Ontario.
A little tip on the shovel technique is to plunge at a 90 degrees ; push towards the ground then pull back to create your hole; place tree firmly in; pull shovel out and kick with heal to close the hole.
Wobbling the shovel back and forth to create your hole causes air pockets, you may lose some seedling do to this.
Love your channel It blesses me every time I watch.

Great video as always, reminds me of my childhood days working on our family Christmas tree farm. One thing we learned was that only subsoiling one direction caused many trees to blow over in high winds after a couple years because the roots followed the trench and grew unbalanced. We learned to subsoil in a "+" in the row where we set out our trees. It may not be the same with different tree species, ours were Virginia Pines.

hey guys glad to see you planting trees, We will be planting about 1700 within the next 3 years at our christmas tree farm. The best thing to do when planting Seedlings is not to let the roots fish hook. if the tree does not fit with the roots make the hole deeper, never push the tree into the hole let the tree find the bottom for you. a single person can plant about 500 trees in a day. We are planting our trees 7 different types 8' rows and 6' spacing.

I love how good of a dad you are. You never told your son he was wrong and guided him the right way with the lord

Love the counting pun, Jack! :)
Cody, the music at the end almost brought tears to my eyes. Tremendous choice. God's love is sometimes very palpable, thanks for making this one of those moments. Blessings.

Cody, what is going on? I have not been watching anything on you tube very regular the last six months. What to my surprise do I hear but a young man, a pre teen, with a much deeper voice than I last heard him with the last time I watched. Jack really surprised me with his voice. I suppose being around him every day you and Mrs "W" don't notice much. Just like my 25 great grandkids and grandkids one day they are in diapers and crawling and the next time i see them they are shaving and driving a car or worse yet getting married. God has really blessed you Cody! Thank you so much for being a man of God who practices what he preaches .
