  • This was a unique observation/flat ride that was removed in 2000.
This is old footage I had, so I figured I would put it up on this RUclips channel.
This was built by Intamin, had three arms and and had a height of 110 feet. This ride operated from 1976 to 2000 in Gurnee, IL @ Six Flags Great America.

Too bad they have not gotten another observation type ride. I miss the sky rides too (Delta Flyer and Southern Cross).

I miss this ride. It was a nice part of the skyline also. It was nice to go on to cool off on when it was hot outside.

This was such a unique “Ferris wheel”. It terrified me as a kid but I sort of miss it now.

Yeah, when it first started spinning up after I was off the ground was a bit crazy as a kid.

Oh my gosh it rotates so fast I did not expect that!

Yes it did, it seemed even faster when you were inside on of the cabins because you were at a little bit of an angle when it started spinning up.

I think Magic Mountain has/had something similar when I was young. But I haven't been there in over 40 years, as I no longer live in the area.

I wonder why they had it so low. The arms usually went up much higher

I think it was just where I was standing and the fact that it was just starting to start off.

It was that little ass chain that the car was hanging from I was sweating. My entire family in the car with another half a family. That little chain keeping the cab attached. What was the wieght limit on that?

The chains were also looking a bit old near the end which gave less confidence in them too. Not sure of the weight, but it I recall seeing four adults or two adults and up to four kids without an issue.

Hershey park had the same ride. I'm not sure when they took it down.

Yes, I think they had a two arm one.

It was a 2 arm. I never saw a 3 arm until this video

@@robstravelsadventuresI remember Kings Island had a two arm one years ago as well. I believe it was where Windseeker stands now.
