Great Video! I am glad to see Yakima Canutt make your list since most of his film appearances were in stunts. He and John Wayne were not only great friends but together they changed how fights scenes were done not only in westerns but in movies as a whole. As to his stunt work who can forget the scene in 'Stagecoach' where Yakima after falling through the horses goes all the way under the horses and coach. A stunt that to my knowledge no one has attempted since.

While I don't normally make multiple comments on a video I felt I had to after watching this video twice and re-watching the original video on Characters Actors in Westerns. Reason being is we all missed 3 great Character actors in Westerns.
R.G. Armstrong - 'El Dorado', 'No Name on the Bullet', 'Major Dundee', 'Ride the High Country' and mamy more western and TV western appearances.
Jane Darwell - 'My Darling Clementine', 'The Ox Bowl Incident', '3 Godfathers' and more.
Chuck Roberson - 'McLintock', 'The War Wagon', 'The Undeafeates' and many more western and TV western roles. While probably not as well known as the first two actors I mention, his biggest role being the Sheriff in 'McLintock', he appeared in a lot of westerns. He like Slim Pickens and Ben Johnson was also a real cowboy having dropped put of school at age 13 to become a cow hand. Also, like Yakima Canutt, Roberson was know for his stunt work more so than his acting. Sorry for the oversight and I am sure there are others we missed but I had to point out these 3 as they each have over 150 credits in movies and TV with most being in the western genre.

Born in 1950 and raised in the San Fernando Valley which we moved to in 1953 my childhood was a blessing and when I started school it was at San Jose Street School. The only paved roads were Devonshire Blvd and as I walked there were farms everywhere and often I would play with the small frogs and lizards and snakes. Orange trees were everywhere and eventually though I had a lunch corn and oranges were everywhere growing. I started a garden when I was 8 years old and grew corn, tomatoes, onions, chard, strawberries and potatoes. I raised cotton tail rabbits and actually ate rabbits only, I raised chickens for the eggs and didn’t have chickens for food until I was 12 years old.My cousin had a butterfly net and was always showing me the different the variety between moths and butterflies and all the different types. He still live in San Monica and we would, using box trap catch raccoons, possums , foxes and many other little creatures. I was taught to keep the Gopher snakes because they killed rattlesnakes and always let them go at our house. My Uncle Jack had been a tail gunner and a B17 during the War out of England and flew in 28 missions. My Dad had gotten drafted when he and my mom got back their Honeymoon. Was sent to the Philippines as a Medic, have a picture of him with his Thompson sub machine gun and a little spider monkey. He never talked about his time there, but when his foxhole buddy came over they would sit outside and I would listen in. He lived until 88 years old and often would call me or write me telling me stories about my Dad. My Dad was sent to Nagasaki after the Bomb was dropped and spent 3 more years before he came home. People today have No idea what our forefathers went through.

7:06)The shot is from "The Twilight Zone". It is a shame that Gregory is most remembered for playing NYCPD Deputy Inspector Frank Luger.
7:21)Alan Hale, Senior and Junior looked very much alike.
7:59 In "The Last Command" Arthur Hunnicutt played Davey Crockett in a way that did not try to turn Crockett into some sort of god.
12:23)I have seen Pile spelled Pyle in several credits.
12"31)Another video stated that Jay Silverheels last name was Smith.
12:44)Glenn Strange played Butch Cavendish in the first 4-5 episodes of The Lone Ranger". The footage of him firing a rifle was used in some other westerns.
14:22)Sheb Wooley was a singer. "Purple People Eater" is proably the best known. he also recorded with the name Ben Colder.
