Loved this video as I secretly love me some tatcha! Another dupe for the cleansing oil is the Haru haru black rice cleansing oil, Tula has a similar mineral spf 30 compared to the tatcha.
Not related but the new skin fix serum actually has a great ingredient list, I am so tempted to try it. I love the barrier moisturizer and am searching for something lightweight with ceramides.

I've been looking for a dupe for the Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil, and I've been using the DHC Cleansing Oil. But, I recently learned about the Haruharu WONDER Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil, and I'm wondering if it would be a better dupe than DHC. The Haruharu has rice bran oil as its main ingredient, but it doesn't have the algae extract or camellia seed oil or leaf extract

Tatcha is this one lucky random brand that came out of nowhere with hefty price tags and people fell for it because influencers and algorithms shove it down our throat all the time. The founder is not even Japanese. She's just a Taiwanese-American who may be knows a bit about Japanese skincare culture and ingredients.
Looking at the ingredients she uses in her Tatcha products, there's nothing extraordinary about those either. At least brand like Sulwhasoo will tell you why their Red Ginseng is different in terms of method and location of farming, extracting and fermentation to justify the pricing, etc.
How does she justify the pricing and the price increase? She didn't publish any research or paper to back her products or ingredients or the formulations and R&D like Shiseido, Kao, Pola. Amore Pacific, and other big skincare conglomerates in Japan and Korea either.
It's just a brand positioning at the end of the day and now some people can see right through your trick.

I do not like Tatcha ! too much fragrance. I am aware they have one product without fragrance the Repair one and it's not a big deal. The dewy cream might be ok but I would not pay that much it's not worth it. There are other products better. There ingredients in my opinion are not good for many skin types. There customer service has no knowledge what they are doing in relation in advising about there products. I have a large trial size of the Tacha cleansing oil. I only used it once. It still in my cabinet. Want to give it away. Sarah Mad Hippie has a great cleansing oil ! IT contains Ginger, Rosehip, & Pumpkin seed oil. It's very lovely! No irritants to the skin. Well, if you paid attention, she mentions, each and every time, that some may not be exact dupes but have similar textures or similar finish/results, due to the difficulty in finding fragrance-free dupes for that particular product. So we’re not disappointed when buying a product and that product not being an exact dupe. I’m not sure what you’re not understanding there or why you had to make this superfluous comment. I’m just sayin’.

@@JessieDubois8 Well, if you paid attention, I said that these products are not REMOTELY close to being dupes. So not only are they not “exact dupes,” they’re not even similar and shouldn’t even be compared. So yes, those of us who actually know what a dupe is are disappointed when watching a video that for dupes and are only offered useless suggestions. I’m not sure what you’re not understanding here. Stop being a braindead follower of influencers and maybe you’ll get it.

Yeah, no, I sent this to my sister because she uses some Tacha stuff. I can't afford that, so I wouldn't know what to request a dupe for😁😉🩷🩷🩷
