I missed a few videos but heard about your injuries. Hope you heal quickly and totally. Never saw this young lady before. Is she your youngest daughter?
Hey Jeff since you have time now you need to make your cook book ? And you r right cabelas does have some good seasonings. And glad you r cooking again I would say you r feeling better that is great!!
Just checking in on you Jeff! You sound stronger and are moving around a little easier. Hope you continue to make progress in your complete recovery! “Preciate ya’ll!”
My jerky shooter “caulk gun” has multiple nozzles of different shapes. I 😊use the smaller round nozzle and make jerky sticks (like Slim Jim Beef Sticks) in addition to flat jerky strips.
Used my jerky cannon ONE time! Spent more time loading the durn thing than i did squeezin' out jerky. It's been in the upper cabinet since 2006. Now i just use an extra tube that i crushed down the end and use the 5# vertical stuffer. The water is used to make the mix looser so it can go into a beefstick casing easier (if you're going that route).
Jeff I really enjoyed your video here making jerky, but I have an idea that you might like. I always use ground venison for my jerky but I only season it with Dale's seasoning; My dehydrator has 8 racks, it's a round one like yours but I purchased 4 extra racks to double the capacity. It takes about 4 lbs of venison to load too full capacity and I add 2/3 cup of Dales to the meat for seasoning. This also makes the meat much easier to load into the Jerky Cannon and apply on the racks! My grandkids love my jerky and I like mine sprinkled heavy with cayenne pepper so I add pepper to the four bottom trays and leave the top four with Dale's only! I have you in my prayers for quick healing and good luck from here on Hillabee creek!
dales is the bomb jerky seasoning all I use and I like adding red pepper flakes have not tried it with ground jerky I have marinated it for an hour and its still good
@@jerryschwier8998 using Dales in ground venison is different from marinating with it, you get the whole impact when mixing it directly into the ground meat so I recommend that you mix a smaller amount into your meat and then fry a small patty like you would when making sausage, that will allow you the ability to adjust before you obligate the whole batch! I hope you will try this and good luck!
I just stumbled onto your channel , I will pray for God to heal you quickly. I wish I had access to free deer meat, I will have to get or make a dehydrator and try that, thanks. I have had the privilege of getting to see and visit face to face with God all the way through my life beginning with before I was born, the last time I got to see him and visit with him he asked me to tell everyone that he is alive, he is real, and that he loves all of them, that includes you and yours .
Jeff, have you tried using a ice cream scoop to fill your jerky shooter? I use the scoop that you has the thumb handle to help dispense the ice cream( jerky) from the scoop. Your right filling the shooter is a pain. Love watching your videos
Jeff i was waiting for the part in the video where your arm/wrist was getting tired from the gun then saw her doing the cocking......lol them things are great to have for jerky
Jeff I knew about your injury, I haven’t been online for awhile been praying that you would be ok. Holymole where did you find such a nice young lady. Please be careful with your neck. Bless you guys. Where did you find that jerky gun?
Maybe it just me, but I thought his voice sounded like he was holding back some pain as he was leaning over to squeeze the jerky gun. Thankful for the video. I didn't know jerky gun was even a thing. It on the wishlist now. Jeff should setup amazon affiliate links for stuff he's using in videos like that. Could put seasonings too.
enjoyed the videos, paige if jeff gets out of line or misbehaves kick his butt, dont let him overstrain that neck-LOL-david from arkansas-happy valentines day! is that hannah ever at home, too much huntin fever in her LOL
PAIGE!!!!!! Slow his butt down. He's moving too fast. Heal that neck first. I'm so glad you are there, but you guys get to giggling and you feed off each others energy and he might end up paralyzed. Jerky looks amazing though and that's pretty much how they make the store bought jerky in bags.
Looks good Jeff I’ll check that out once I get some venison. Hope the neck in the back are doing good. Take care have a good family day. Are you probably don’t get that in the US I’m from Canada Ontario.
Now I'm craving some homemade jerky, thanks y'all! Maple syrup sure is sweet, and goes good with a whole lottsa things. Spending Valentines Day with Paige, while she cooks ya up some homemade lasagna, sounds like a very good way to spend it Jeff. Preciate Y'all!😘
Nice video. If the mix has nitrate (for curing), then it has to be cured for 24 hours before eating. I get confused between nitrite & and nitrate. Just a friendly comment. I'm making this tomorrow.
🌴 well lookie there mak’n jerky with a dang caulk’n gun , so did ya add any liquid smoke to it to give it a bit of the smoker flavor , that dehydration thing seems like ya can only make a small amount at one time , I think in the future here when ya get ya feel’n better ya need to make the Jeff Barron big boys dehydrator, y’all could make turkey jerky, pig jerky, even fish jerky, and ya could dehydrate stuff to be used down the road a spell , we all love it when miss Paige is there keep’n ya on your toes , hope ya had a great Valentine’s Day , my wife said it would be romantic if I got her a flower ! So I went bought a box of bisquick ! 😄👍🏼
It’s understandable for everyone to care and worry when someone injures their neck. Paralysis can be quite debilitating and life changing. I for one feel Mr. Barron will be just fine! Why? Because, if you go back and pay attention to his description of his fracture, he describes a wing like feature of the cervical vertebrae. This is called the spinal process. They will vary in length from C1 at the cranium, down to C7, where the thoracic vertebrae start, roughly at the trapezoid muscle s. This limits the backward movement of the head, such as when you look straight up. Apparently when he hit the ground, it was forehead first, bending the neck beyond the limits of these vertebrae fracturing the processes. The two other fractures were not described thus far, but it’s a good bet the atlas was involved. This is the topmost portion that holds the cranium. Chances of paralysis in either of these? 50/50. Not due to direct injury to the nerves but from swelling, causing pressure. Reduce swelling and you’re good. What harm can Mr. Barron be doing himself? Prolonging his recovery. Paralysis? Doubtful
Instead of the caulking gun, which is a pain in the neck (sorry!) to load, try a piping bag with a flat tip. Much easier to load and you can buy disposable ones so you don't even have to clean them.

It appears there is nothing she can't do, she is a survivalist for sure.
Excellent tutorial, I was trying to figure the way to make tender venison jerky, thank you much, bless yas ❤🙏!
Prayers for your continued healing and recovery Jeff. Looks tasty as usual.
The water helps disperse the seasoning evenly. It also helps it slide more fluid into casings for snack sticks

Nice to see you again Jeff. Please be careful. 👍
Sounding great. Can’t beat that deer jerky. Good for anytime
Jeff, if you have a smoker, try smoking your ground jerky. The smoke kicks it up to another level.
IF he has a smoker? Dude built an epic wood smoker from scratch in like 4 minutes.
What a team you two make. Happy Belated ♥ Day. A little snow in SWO today Paige.
Glad to see a fellow Canadian migrant to the deep south!
That really came out perfect!
I gotta try that !
Jeff, have you tried using a ice cream scoop to fill your jerky shooter? I use the scoop that you has the thumb handle to help dispense the ice cream( jerky) from the scoop. Your right filling the shooter is a pain. Love watching your videos

Glad to see you up and around. By the way, does your girlfriend have a sister??
Hi Jeff I noticed that you don't have the back brace on 👍👍👍 and I also see you got a great support team
Jeff I knew about your injury, I haven’t been online for awhile been praying that you would be ok. Holymole where did you find such a nice young lady. Please be careful with your neck. Bless you guys. Where did you find that jerky gun?

Do you add any pork fat, or just straight venison?
Never made jerky like this always cut thin slices of deer/elk. Thanks gonna try this method. Always interesting.!
You could add some Liquid Smoke to it as well.

@@edreynolds8721 Neither that's his girlfriend
@@edreynolds8721she's from Canada. She has her own outdoor channel. Pretty interesting.
He’s fine. I don’t think them cooking and laughing is what will paralyze him probably something else be my guess
You cant!

what were the ingredients in those packages? did you read it?
Awesome video Jeff, and you are very beautiful Paige
Without a caulk gun, just flattening round chips is a good way too.
That's a good idea to use the seasoning for burgers! Jerky looks great y'all!
