    for anyone who says this is disgusting content: all we are doing here is observing nature. the reason why I love this content is it showcases what it would be like to be a “4th dimensional being” as we currently can comprehend, the ability to speed up stop or reverse time as a dimension from an outward observer perspective is a fascinating subject.

    It’s really interesting to view it as though your skeleton isn’t necessarily a functioning part of your body and instead a frame in which your actual self sits on and works off of. Your “frame” is what’s left when you are long gone.

      Skeleton is very much a functioning part of your body. It has a circulatory system as well and B cells derived from bone marrow are responsible for antibody production

    This one is so cool. The difference between beetles and fly larva is apparent here. The beetles are really good at their job. So meticulous. Not a scrap left except for bones and fur.

    i saw an annimal rot, like this, once, in a local woodland. it started off as a freshly killed fox &, every week, it disintegrated more & more until all that remained was a little heap of yellowed bones. they are still there. i will continue to look ocasionaly, & see how long it takes until they rot right down to dust or earth. maybe years.

    I have personal experience with this form of rot... one of the parent rats in my breeding room died overnight and I guess the others were hungry, because when I went in to check them the next morning, it was in half, guts leaking out, flies all over... nastiest smell you could ever imagine, and it lingered for over a day...

    Major wishlist item here: get a timelapse of a flesh eating bacteria. Must of course be under strictly controlled lab environments. But as far as I know, no such timelapse exists.

      Yes, that would be because this was a pet store mouse. It's usually used for feeding reptiles, when employees pick up mice by the tail, there is always a chance of breaking it. Unfortunate part of the job
