True comparison though means testing it at the curing time soecified for the specific uv resin.
I have 3 different brands and ive got 3 different curing times on each.
Now that you've tested and done a review on the resin, any chance you would like to do one on any UV lights you might find on Temu?
I strongly recommend against any Temu UV resin. I've tried 3 different kinds, and they have big downsides:
1) they are not much cheaper than buying in bulk on Amazon. 500 grams of "salt sweet" UV resin on Temu is $31, whereas on Amazon, jdiction resin is 500 grams for $29
2)all the temu UV resin has problems with warping.
This video was not a fair comparison for resin, unless you only make small thin pieces like in this video.
Every item I've cast with the Temu resin has had problems warping (sometimes bending completely out of shape) and pulling away from the mold and sometimes there are holes where a bubble has appeared during the curing.
Temu has excellent two part epoxy, but their UV resin is not good value for money, because once you want more than 100 grams, they do not have a bulk discount like Amazon does. Also, I have a very accurate scale that measures down to milligrams, and the Temu 100 gram bottles contain only 89 grams of resin.
That's a 10% shortness of weight, which nullifies any discount you're getting by buying no name resin.
I hope this helps.
The owner of the channel is clearly a Temu affiliate who makes money from pimping their products. I had a comment I wrote on here, replying to you, recommending against Temu curing lights, and it was deleted.
She is required to declare affiliation with any company. All I see is an affiliation with Amazon for a typical Amazon storefront. Might want to be careful about accusations like that unless you have proof.
I have used both Temu UV resin and curing lights. I've never had an issue with anything.
Do as I say, Not as I do!
I enjoy watching and learning! I am going on 54 and I have lived through a lot! Your way is easier!
Found this accidentally. I’ve missed you so glad I’ve found it
Thank you for testing these. I have had that pink bottle in my Temu cart for a while, and have been tempted to get it from Amazon. Everyone swears by it in all of the reviews...but the proof is in the puddin' lol. As for JDiction, could you explain the 3 different types they carry? There is the one you use, a "new formula", and low viscosity. Could you give a rundown of what would be different with those? That would make a great video for your favorite resin!
Thank you for the honest reviews! I needed that info as of recent, I just started making resin keychains 😊 I’ll feel confident making my UV resin purchases now 👍🏼
Ps. Was a member of MGL until I found about your leave. I’m so glad I ran into your page, I subscribed immediately.
Me too love these girls. I made sure i found where they went and came running lol. So much better in my opinion
Never done resin but ive herd alot of good about the jay one.
Does it matter what % of isopropyl alcohol used 70 or 90% or do we use ethyl alcohol to pop bubbles?
Do you have a video on which is better, UV or 2 part resin?
Have you tried Let's Resin?
Also, for bigger pieces, the light should notbe so close to the mould.
I was overwhelmed to find your channel as I ordered TEMU UV curable solution DIY glue. Resin hard and had no idea on had to use it... As a matter of fact I back off today as I was not sure of myself oh how to do it and how to start. tks for the video.. I was wondering if I could use the product on canvas ? TKs 🥰
Just in the process of watching this video and I got a UV resin of temu and one of Amazon both were good but I'd say the amazon one was slot better
Question. I have a pink mold (not clear) and the resin needs to be 1cm thick. Are these uv resins suitable for that or should i just continue using Total Boat resin. ? Thanks so much.
Thank you, thank you.
Thanks🤗
What about the temperature of the UV light? Doesn’t it make a difference in how the curing process goes? I’ve recently seen some resin artists using different strength UV lights. An updated video with temperature control would be nice. Hopefully you do read the comments as I see you are not answering the questions that have been asked.
Very helpful thank you
What are other factors that effects the UV resin? I personally find JDiction as one of my least favorite due to bubbles and curing time. The pink bottle is my 2nd favorite and Let's Resin my very favorite.
I would like to know how you used printable vinyl then put in a keychain and then use uv resin or stick the vinyl on the aryclic thrn dome it? I would kive to see that.
When I used the blue bottle from Temu it never cured and I used layers and cured each one. .
It was very sticky in the end
Expose it to direct sunlight. That might help the stickiness.
The resin is bowing because her light is far too strong and far too close to the mold. Most UV resins shrink do to heat so less heat less rapidly might help. Not to mention, different UV resins come in different viscosities for different applications.
I've used Temu resin and it bows so badly no matter how far your curing light is. It's terrible resin.
Tip for all, never buy Dowmoo.....
Great job Rachel!! I love comparisons. This was very informational!! I've only used JDiction since you recommended it so it's nice to see other options. Thank you!!
