I'm with you, vlodpg! I remember from January 1984 up till Billy Sheehan left to join David Lee Roth I caught them everytime they cam to Pittsburgh. They never got old and I got to know Phil. What a showman and singer, and a darn nice guy, too. Mark Miller was another cool guy. Micth Perry was kind of aloof but Johnny Angel was cool as hell. They really had something back then. Great to see them on You Tube and relive some memories.
I saw these guys at The Warehouse in Rochester back in late '84. Sheehan played really loud; I could feel his bass reverberate inside my chest. For a minute there I thought it might bust its way out and leave me dead on the floor. Amazing.. and a great show it was!
Mark..damn..i was pre med at UB in this era and we use to go bar hopping to recover..lol..and saw these guys..was so jealous of the chicks that were just going crazy for them...and i was on an anti disco bent back then...good times..thanks for the time machine
Truly a work of art. way ahead of their time. Corporate America really missed out on true talent and art! Far better than most bands of that era and can give them a go today!
Wow. Great song to close with. And I can't believe what an excellent job these effers did on this. Holy crap. I was expecting something much less respectful. And what a frontman. Great stage presence and a badass voice to boot. I really don't know what "to boot" means, but who cares. What do I look like? Some kind of wordentologist or something? I'm just saying that I enjoyed the video. So get off my back about it. I mean, jeeze....
kingdiamond69, you are a MADMAN! When you stole that COW, and your friend tried to make it with the COW! I want to party with you, cowboy! If the two of us together, forget it!

Sheehan is the only bass player who's much more impressive than some guitar virtuosos. It was great to watch him live with Mr. Big..
@ Errachtoo, we might of covered the same barscene, I was Rudy the Roadie from Buffalo NY did some foldback with Talas, worked with Rasputin, Cheater, Ronnie Rocco/Billy in "Light Years" man that was the best time of my life.
THE ONLY THING ABOUT THIS TALAS VIDEO IS BILLY, THE 'REAL' TALAS WILL ALWAYS BE BILLY SHEEHAN, PAUL VARGA, AND DAVE CONSTANTINO, NO ONE ELSE IS OR EVER WILL BE T-A-L-A-S!
Can't "prove" it (other than memories of photos from the tour), but I believe Billy played several dates as bassist with Max Webster on the U.S. tour for Universal Juveniles, supporting Rush. Can anyone confirm?? This would have been 1980, perhaps(?). It sure didn't look like Dave Myles in the photos, anyway...
Billy apparently did some rehearsals with Max Webster in late 1977, but they ended up going with Dave Myles. After Myles left the band, it was Mike Gingrich from Nightwinds who replaced him.
Just another party weeknight in Buffalo. We had the arcade in Rochester. I want a time machine🤘
. Talas is Billy Sheehan, Dave Constantino and Paul Varga.
An epic experience watching this band live back in those days
I used to see these guys every Monday at Stage One in Clarence, NY in the early 80's. They were really good.
LOVE TALAS !!!
I remember standing at that stage in watching billy playing this! Brings back great memories!
Best 5 minutes of rock n roll. Ever. Takes me back.
I saw TALAS with THE HUNT at Sherkston way back in the 80`s..was one of the best shows i`ve ever seen.

Powerful version of this! Only found out yesterday that Billy was actually a member of Max Webster for 6 months!

I've heard 'BATTLE SCAR' by Max Webster, and the 'ONLY' other band who covers this best is Talas's Billy Sheehan
Max Webster and Rush in one room pounding this out.
