I hate how Piers’ first example of bad members of the royal family are Harry and Megan, instead of an alleged sex offender.
Cos it's ALLEGED
@@craigjohnson9405 So just because it’s only alleged, that means it doesn’t have any impact at all on the reputation and the general public’s outlook? That is ridiculously nonsensical.
@@craigjohnson9405 We all know it's not.
yep
I mean, Harry is an imperialist invader of Afghanistan, so I'm not sure who's worse.
Amazing how Piers can ask a question, answer it himself and then move on. Why have guests at all?
As props. His audience hears “atheist anti-monarchist” and thinks of him as being controlled whatever minorities they’ve been brainwashed into blaming for all their problems.
Take a guess😂 this guy lives off clips of "Piers shut down this and that guy" and interrupting, talking over guests and generally being assertive makes it convincing, he seems right to someone who hasn't actually researched these things.
He is quite the towering narcissist
Talks over the top of his guests, not letting them answer his own questions, let alone make their own points, and then has the cheek to call his show "Uncensored". What a guy!
He's a tool.
'why do you dislike the monarchy?'
'well because I th-'
'what gives you the right to'
basically this entire video
Notice how when Piers speaks, the volume of the guests' mics is automatically massively reduced. They had to set it up that way
Piers is annoying but the young talks a lot of rubbish that isn't worth talking about. I'm not living in a monarchy and would take the Royal Family in a heartbeat. It gives extreme stability in hard times to have some sort of compass even if the royals arent perfect humans either.
@@zellhaufen8583 How does it bring stability?
@@zellhaufen8583I had rather not have illusions of grandeur while being a slave to the monarchy. That's essentially your illusionary stability. You don't seem to have any idea of British monarchy and it's history. Read a history book and try not gag as they rape and plunder their way through corpses of innocents.
Piers asks question. Alex answers question. Piers wonder what gives Alex the right to answer the question he asked.....perhaps because he was invited onto the show to talk about it and answer questions....
I love the way Piers is able to frame the lie that anti-monarchism just didn't exist until Prince Harry said some mean things
I guess the guillotine was invented to chop carrots.
@@YokiDokiPanic*sighs dreamily* the guillotine
If only because of his mother before him.
I don't understand, do these brits not know that monarchies used to rule over the entirety of Europe, and somehow they were overthrown? How can you be so delusional?
The clever part is that he never actually *says* that (or else Alex would jump in and refute him). He just strongly implies it. Over and over again.
"An atheist anti-monarchist!?" Piers cried, as though this was highly unusual.
And Piers is just a ‘radical journalist and christian ass licking monarchist’ lol
"... yes, and I like Marmite. Is there a problem here?!"
Not unusual, but obviously an anarchist is going to not like the royal family
Another word for common sense..
What's this?! An atheist believes that people should not have inherited power over a country justified by divine right by god?! It's like they don't believe in god!
Piers did a great job of interviewing himself.
So well put,I will use that.
He is simply obnoxious as always. Why even bother to bring in alternative voices to interview when you are so aggressive and biased about the topic of discussion
😅😅😅😅😅
😂
...and making himself look a complete fool
Just a friendly reminder that there were 3 guests in this segment. One who was allowed to speak their mind, a second who was constantly talked over, and a third who wasn't acknowledged past their introduction.
I'm guessing Alex cut he third person out in this video, because it is mostly about his debate with Piers Morgan.

It's amazing that piers Morgan thinks the rest of the world is impressed rather than bemused by England's reliance on hereditary political offices.

The britisch monarchy does exert great soft-power for the UK around the world. It is very widley known and respected.
It’s hard to calculate the net benefits. There is no dispute that some people respect the institution, but there are also many people that are turned off by it. Most of the world doesn’t live under monarchy because they have thrown off that yoke and feel justified in their fundamental repulsion to it.
Swede here. I think our royalties are based & seeing the royal guard riding horseback through old town gives me a sense of heritage and history. If the government is going to dole out cash to a bunch of cultural projects and the like, then I don't see a better bang for the buck than the royals.
@@IsomerSoma They've also vetoed plenty of bills in the 20th and 21th century, contrary to public perception. In a more opaque display of power they've also secretely vetted a lot of laws before they were approved by parliament. Lobbying of course is another way they swing their d*cks around. These measures have been used to allow them to conceal the wealth of the royal family among other things involving land inheritance. Who knows what else they've been able to do behind the scenes.
Piers constantly interrupting the guest he disagrees with as usual 🙄
Reminds me of the Tommy Robinson interview….which wasn’t an interview, but could have been interesting.
I don't even know why he has guests on his show. Just have cardboard cut outs. He did most of the speaking. He's not even listening.
He can’t stop himself

The government isn’t supposed to rule people. It’s supposed to represent them.

Can’t believe piers believes young people dislike the royal family because of prince harry and Megan, instead of prince Andrew
Or instead of the fact that they have no legitimate right to rule over anybody or have the vast amount of power and wealth that they do.
Piers just has a vendetta against those two and Will place blame on them whenever he can

“Am I young people?” Is a weirdly good quote, it’s a shame that piers persisted with the poor question
That part shows how out of touch they are with young people.
"you're almost middle aged"
Good catch. It's weird that theyre claiming "78% of young people" feel this way. What does "young people" mean?
Alex:"...and I'd be quite concerned if you disagreed with that"
Piers: "With what?"
Beautiful work exposing the fact that he isn't even listening to your answers.

As an American... conservatives are so different yet ultimately the same everywhere. Seeing people inexplicably defend the monarchy because "it's what we've always had!" seems insane, but it makes sense considering the nonsensical things that American conservatives defend as "the basis of our country!!!". It's all about looking in the past.
It's all about looking in the past, you mean like slavery reperations etc.? I'm a Dutch conservative but kind of anti-monarchist, I'd say let them pay their taxes and after that we can discuss their true value.
its really just about expanding the wealth and power of european monarchs. which was the original purpose of colonizing america
@daanloco7200 no serious leftist is actually interested in slavery reparations, but its obviously important to acknowledge the past to understand certain modern sociological realities, things just aren't the way they are for no reason. that' obviously not the same as keep traditional institutions or values just for the sake of keeping them even though they're clearly a detriment.
Conservative want to conserve… except for the environment 😂
You really should read more before posting false information. Piers is not a Conservative, lol….he is a diehard Liberal. On American news debates, he represents the Liberals/Democrats and always has.
the fact that the first point he made about young people losing faith in the royals being because of prince harry and meghan and not prince andrew is absolutely hilarious
even if they were all people i would gladly vote into the highest office, the monarchy would still be an antiquated system that assumes the innate superiority of one family. and that's what i reject. what the royals do isn't even part of the equation.
Could be because Prince Charles was best buddies with Jimmy Savile
There are a multitude of reasons why young people are losing faith or never had faith in the royals to begin with… And you can bet that 99% of those young people are not listening or giving a fuck about Harry and fucking Meg….
How Charles treated Diana, he and Camilla have been unpopular for decades.
Or we just realize once people stopped living in castles no one should give a fuck about them.
"Who are you to tell me how this country should be run?" A guy that you invited to speak about how the country should be run, Morgan. A man you asked to do precisely what he's doing.
And a citizen. He's as legitimate as anyone. Who's Pires or the king or anyone to have any say in how the country should be run?
I can't deal with what a huge twat PM is. He embodies everything that is wrong with personality driven "news" broadcasting.
I have yet to meet a single person that travelled to England to see the royal family and not all of the immensely more interesting landmarks that the city has to offer.
Piers has an incredible ability to ask a question to someone he doesnt agree with and barely let them answer whilst also allowing people he does like to speak for far longer.
"You'd rather be ruled by Boris Johnson?" If Boris was born to a royal family, Pierce would be arguing for Boris' right to rule. :D
Well said
Also, we were ruled by Boris Johnson, so having a royal family didn't change that.
And we also got rid of him, which is the point, we can't get rid of the royals.
That would have been a great point!
Yep!
And equally the guest could have asked Piers "would you rather be ruled by Meghan?", as that's also a possibility. He's deliberately painted a terrible picture, the guest could have painted an equally as bad a picture if he really wanted to.
His arguments are on the level of an 11 year old. I'm not kidding, because I clearly remember myself as a teen saying the same type of shit
Piers certainly gives his guests time to speak...
I was going to say this. This would be better to watch if he didn't cut off his opponents every mid sentence

He means "stable" in the sense that they have produced our heads of state in a reasonably predictable manner (with a few upsets such as the barring of Catholics and an abdication) for hundreds of years. If we retain the royal family, then we can already be reasonably sure of who our next two heads of state will be, which might well take us up to the year 2100. That's what I call stability.

@@th3be4st61 They ruled for centuries. Their power has diminished gradually since the Civil War, but they still have a massive amount of influence, they don't pay taxes, and their lives are wholly funded by British taxes and the income from their hereditary untaxed estates.
Think of it like this, if you remove the layers of religion and pageantry, the British monarchy essentially owns the entire country and a financial stake in every business made on British soil. They also make money from every transaction, investment, death, etc. That's how taxes worked in the past - all the money went to the King and his family to allow them to live lives of luxury, while the government keeps things running on their behalf. Over the years, the government has become increasingly democratic, and this has pressured the Royal Family to allow more and more taxes to go back to the people in the form of public services - which they accepted in order to prevent themselves from getting Robespierred, along with gradually selling off more of their land to private and public ownership, or granting it to lower nobles.
They don't technically "rule" any more, as they lost the right to direct governance in the Civil War, but "reigning" is only partially better for the rest of us. It means our lives are no longer decreed by the whims of an unelected ruler, but they still have all of the money, privilege, and soft power that they always had. The monarchs no longer have personal control over the Crown Estate and its possessions, but they still get to enjoy all of its benefits and luxuries.
We're essentially paying for a small bunch of very posh people to stay in a variety of luxury locations at no personal charge while having the ear of the Prime Minister and all of the most powerful, influential, and popular people in the country, and in return they wear silly hats and tell us God thinks we're amazing.
Ask the royals if they'd still like to perform their "duties" without privilidges like living in palaces, travelling in private jets etc, and then see if they themselves would see the value in "the institution."

@@MoMo-rx4zr speaking "the queens english" is more of a class symbol (if you have a good education, you'll be able to speak better english) than love for the monarchy. not saying there's no love for the british royals here but we haven't exactly forgotten the east india company or the british raj and plenty of us do hold the monarchy responsible (the kohinoor is still on elizabeths crown by the way)
@@ishathakor Those two things are intrinsically intertwined why do you think there's such a concept as "better English"? Do you think God came down from on High and bestowed on humanity a book outlining how English is meant to be spoken?
how's that monarchy's the just figurehead's for 100s of years. blame the parliament
What I have often noticed is that the british who buy into this whole monarchy stuff somehow believe they are better, because they still have a monarchy... Not to burst their bubble, but that is kind of sad.
Re: tourism. France got rid of their kings a while ago. Guess who's #1 in tourist destinations?
Who would expect young people to be interested in the monarchy? They are starting their own life and are more interested in themselves and their friends with a splash of rebellion often thrown in. That is how it should be. They have a lot to do to set the path of their life.
Fucking brilliant how Alex so quickly stops accepting Piers’ interruptions. The only tool Piers has is to make sure no one can hear the other side.
He wants to make it look like the third guy is the moderate one, and since the third guy is also pro-monarchy, it "solidifies" Morgan's position.
Exactly. I deeply dislike the guy
Empty vessels make the loudest noise.
Morgan has made major mistakes in his career. Faking photos of our soldiers, lecturing Americans about guns and 100% wrong on almost everything to do with Co*vid. And then he acts like he has the wisdom of King Solomon.
He's a nobody, with a thick skin and a loud voice.
@@martinmartin1363
Well, I suppose that's a point of view. What struck me was that even with a two to one advantage, Piers was still getting louder and louder and making more and more hysterical/ emotional arguments.
I think our guy did well.
@@martinmartin1363 It's good that Morgan invites people with differing views on his show. It's bad that he uses people with differing views as a verbal punchbag.
Piers Morgan, the kind of guy to let someone who agrees with him speak freely while interrupting anyone who doesn't. Great job Alex, respect to you for trying to talk to him reasonably
No. We agree with Piers' views u moro n .
Yea, he will interrupt the one he agrees with to tell him: "I'm sorry, but I agree with you"
Problem with any hosted comment show, the narrative is controlled by the host

@@mariannelabanane2589 Piers Morgan can also not interrupt his guest and responds when he is done talking.
I know it has been a general behaviour to interrupt someone when you disagree with that person but that's not how debates work.
“You’re a monarchist like me” translates to “you’re a bootlicker like me.”
The argument "would you rather be ruled by boris johnson" falls flat when you remember that we were ruled by boris johnson, so having or not having a monarch wouldnt change that.
Piers the whole interview: you love Boris Johnson + you’re an atheist + I’m older + L + ratio
Remember, though -- it's young people that are "too sensitive" (Or whatever the term he used earlier).
Don't forget the "who tf are you?"
Like a true monarchist, Piers asks and answers his own questions.
What did the monarchy ever really do for the youth of Great Britain?
@@cynthiasutch9139 do you think that youth is the people born after 2000 or 1990 or something? Every generation ever existed was youth once and monarchy was there during great deal of them. Your grandfather was an youngster once and I doubt he was anti monarchist.
@Tsotne Gogshelidze you are completely incorrect. In the 1920s and 30s the youth questioned the monarchy. Most periods they do. Do you think that the monarchy were pro universal suffrage regarding voting in 1920? The monarch in the 1930s was friendly to Hotler
Like a true narcissist as well.
@Len - As if that is something specific to all monarchists. Lmfao. 🤦🏾♂️
Shall I say “Like a true Republican, Len Loving is a narcissist that thinks he knows better.”
He really almost had the point at 10:23. Why would you not want people getting ousted for doing bad things?
As an American I have a very American attitude towards monarchy... I see a crown on a head and think "one or the other has to go" 😊
*invites someone on for an interview*
*doesn't let him finish a sentence*
Great work, Piers
It's how he shows that he is in charge. Not by the quality of his ideas, but by the loudness of his voice.
Morgan is Camilla's mouthpiece
If I wear the person he were interviewing I’d probably let the first two interruptions but afterwards? No screw this I’m out if you’re gonna waste my time interrupting and not letting me get a word in then this interview is done.

So . . . what about Larissa? All the white men seemed to do all the talking . . .
If a child receives a cush overpaid job with little to no experience because their parent owns the company(or inherits it), Piers would call them spoiled entitled and incompetent. But when the word changes from company to crown & country he’s a devout supporter.
I don't even fucking understand how people are still holding on with this monarchy thing in the 21st century.
He did a much better job at not letting Piers Morgan interrupt him and shut him up than most people can, so satisfying to watch
Right? Alex says if Pierce can just keep on talking as if I'm not I guess I can do the same. It's about time someone gave him a dose of his own medicine
Agree we’ll done by the young guy even though it was a 2 on 1
@Ronald Delorme it's pretty much his wheelhouse, and he's pretty good in these sorts of "debates"
Channeling the right honourable gentleman, Christopher Hitchens..
It's really weird how Piers Morgan keeps complaining that Harry and Meghan get so much airtime, while constantly... giving them airtime 😂😂
He is completely obsessed with them. My favourite Alex answer was when he responded that nothing was less interesting to him than the affairs if Meghan and Harry. This needed to be said. The idea that people only started to be republican because of Harry and Meghan has no credibility outside Piers's tiny mond.
Exactly! He is obsessed with them!
I mean he even brings up her appearance as if that's anything.
hell has no fury when Pier is scorned. She ghosted him after they met one time, I believe.
"The world will see our nation at it's very best: the pomp, the pageantry, the military procession" LOL.

Also peasant in this context =/= rural/simple.
I love the way Piers asks someone a question then tells them how they're wrong before they can give an answer.
Lol, yeah. "I think that...."
Piers: "You're missing the point!"
He’s been doing this shit since his days of living in his daddy’s balls

he is well prepared from all his debates and conversations with much smarter and more knowledgeable people than piers moron
Alex talking over Piers is so satisfying
Oh my God, yes!
For real.
He was so shocked when someone had the balls to interrupt him back.
The audacity for Piers Morgan to talk about invasion of privacy
I find the argument of “they provide incalculable value” but also “I can say for sure that value outweighs any cost they might incur” to not be very convincing.
Even if I agreed with Piers or any Monarchist, not presenting solid benefits and costs to the Royals makes it really hard for anyone forming their own opinions based on your argument to have their own analysis.

A "stellar" guest, I see what you did there
Yeah like UK monarchy(shhh! It's a democracy) fired "Independent" Aussie PM
Well he's inviting him to shut him down and take credit away from his arguments. His guests aren't there to have a conversation with him.
He can't let him talk because it'll make his audience question their beliefs which is uncomfortable and thus dangerous for him and his show. It's a smear tactic really.
Alex had chances to talk. I don't feel like he was overruled unfairly. He talked more than the other guest

11:00 Piers is so proud of himself here, as if he’d actually “won” some sort of debate. Debates require dialogue which means you can’t pose an argument then speak over someone the moment they start to refute it.
