Hi csquaredboxing and viewers, (maybe this can be pinned or something) DISCLAIMER: This review is not to discredit reviewers who had a positive experience with these gloves. Only to help viewers/consumers make a more informed choice on what gloves to purchase. I had a pair of Ring2Cage C17 v2.0 16oz velcro gloves before this and I had some quality issues but never any comfort or protection issues with them. My personal experience with the Adispeed 501 16oz velcro's were terrible. As soon as I received them the right glove had quality issues (The leather was warped around the pinkie area, and there was an air/foam bubble at the top near the thumb). Those are forgivable mistakes as long as the glove performs well. The problem is that these gloves did not get any better in comfort or protection for me either. Firstly just to have the gloves on without hitting anything and just trying to make a fist was PAINFUL, my hands felt contorted into an uncomfortable position (again maybe this is due to my personal hand shape) but still I could not shake the feeling that these gloves had not lived up to expectation for me. When I finally began training (hitting the double end bag, heavy bag, sparring) I began to notice an even worse flaw. When I tried to land hard punches, my pinkie and my middle finger on my left hand would feel sharp sharp pains (this never ever occurred using my previous pair or any other pair of gloves before that.).This pain was so bothersome that I would literally get frustrated in between rounds and contemplate throwing these gloves into the trash. For these reasons, as of today 11/19/2019 I am returning these gloves and am very disappointed in how they worked out for me. Like I said in the beginning, this is NOT an attempt to defame Adidas, or any other reviewer who had a positive experience with these gloves, only to help consumers make a more informed decision on what to purchase by seeing a review from another standpoint.
Thanks for your feedback man! No apologies needed, your feedback is your feedback, that’s why I make these videos and you guys can comment on them. Allows others to tell their experience especially if they’re having an issue with gear. Sorry to hear your quality control issues, hopefully you get it resolved.
As someone of a similar height and weight (5' 9'' 155lbs) but having unusually big hands (generally by L/XL gloves) 16oz fits me perfectly, so as someone with big(er) hands 16oz at the least is definitely the way to go. Man I really love these gloves, that inside liner is really lovely on the hands. I love my Sabas Supersoft but probably its biggest flaw in how the inside liner bunches up and feels rather loose, not a problem at all with these. Haven't been able to spar with them yet but really enjoy how they feel on the mitts. The wrist is great, I love the angled cuff and how broken in the glove is right off the bat is also outstanding. Got mine from title for $119 but I also had a 30% off coupon so I really payed like $80 for them which for a glove like this imo is a total steal. Adidas stepped up big with these and I'm looking forward to using them more and more.
Thought Infinitude soon as I seen them. Very similar shape & quality with added extra features imo. Good mid tier glove as long as they keep an eye on quality control issues.
Where do you find the light up heavy bag wrap?!? I’m amazed and can’t find any info on it.... also your reviews on boxing gear is top notch, you’re doing a great job. Keep them coming
I was going to get these instead of the flysports superloop x but I went with the flysports. I just received them today. I heard they are made in China but I thought ohh well maybe they will be fine. But sure enough I pull them out the box and instantly notice one has bigger Padding than the other and quality control was bad. So I weighed them out and both my 14 oz weighed over 17oz and I couldn’t believe it.. was going to train in them today but now I’m waiting patiently for a response from flysports. I’m just glad I used paypal. ( keep in Mind the leather version is handmade in the uk unlike the synthetic leather version.)
csquaredboxing yeah I hope they can help me figure this out. I can tell I really like them besides those imperfections. A little snug but wrist support is fantastic I weigh about 130 and. 5’10 skinny fingers and wrists. I’ll keep u guys updated. Btw shipping was super fast. I’d like to try these adidas too at some point.
csquaredboxing Flysports reached me back and were very helpful in getting these sent back to be inspected and returned. I asked on another video if your Fly gloves were on weight but, I didn’t get a response from you. I’d like to order a leather version but don’t know what oz to get now.
Hey man, awesome review as always! Say im looking to buy a new pair of gloves, am torn between the adidas adispeeds, and the hayabusa t3’s, which would you recommend? Keep up the good work! 🥊
@@csquaredboxing went with the adidas, got mine a week ago in the white/red/blue/silver color. Are the best gloves ive tried to date, although took a little while more to break in than im used to! 🥊
Thx for the review. In Germany you have to pay 150 € for the gloves. Is it worth to spend 150 bucks into the gloves? I am looking for compact sparring glove for Muay Thai and Boxing. 😊
Is this glove the same as the one available on the TITLE Boxing website at $119.99 & also, how does this glove compare to the Adidas Hybrid 350 Boxing glove?
Hi I wanted to know which glove protects the wrist and hand the most, between adidas adispeed 501 or rival rs2v-2.0 both in velcro and 14 oz. Or which in your opinion is the glove that best protects the wrist and hand in velcro Thank you ;)
I have the same pair of gloves and had them for a year, but I have big hands so, I’ll try the 16Oz, these are the most comfortable gloves I’ve used, the only gap I see is that at the finger tip it feels with the tine that the foam is kind of worn, but they are still good.
Hi, I've this pair of gloves in 16 Oz and I think they are very cool, but I will probably have to change them in the next few months. I have to choose one between bgv9, cleto reyes or another pair of Adidas (Speed tilt 350 or adispeed 501), which do you think is better? PS. I apologize if I made some grammatical mistake but I'm Italian and my english is not very good
Would you recommend these gloves in 14oz or cleto Reyes ultra precision 14oz for use in boxing and kickboxing training, not sparring. I’m about 6’4 90kilos. Appreciate it 🙏🏽
Wrist protection these. The inside of the fly x hand compartment is more of a square and makes your hand into a more comfortable fist and does a great job at making a perfect fist to land on your knuckles better. The thumb on the fly is a little weird and takes a little to get used to but all in all it’s a good glove. I know it’s a late reply but I hope this helps.
"Only The Best for the Athlete" is embossed on the glove, Adidas sure knows how to present their product to the buyer. Maybe one day you can compare this glove against a Nike or even the $3,275.00 Barocco Boxing Glove by Versace.
