i would have switched them cause lets face it alec was a little beast doing what his parents tell him and killing rouge downworlders with no thought to the life he was living trapped in the institute(castle) until he meets that cute little creature who opens up his heart, forcing himself into the depths of his own heart and the wedding so reminds me of the end the beast was ready to die(alec spend his life in a loveless marriage unhappy forever without magnus) and just his showing up breaks alecs curse of family and institutes bind on him and he is free to become who he truly is man!!!!
