Trains 21 is a documentary of railroading in the 21st century and a look at the fascinating world of transportation. On this channel we deal with all aspects of trains with a strong focus on the Northeast USA.
The goal is for you to learn a lot in a short amount of time.. A major infusion of knowledge in just a few minutes.. And if those few minutes distilled some of the best railroad information in the industry, we feel that we've done our job..
The trick is clarity.. Clear, concise and on point.. New videos are uploaded frequently and if you like what you see, comment, like and subscribe (in that order!).

Speaking of the GP40-2, the Chessie System had the largest roster with the majority of them being assigned to the Baltimore & Ohio.
Fantastic! Chessie yellow and orange livery… the sleeping kitten logo.👍
Excellent video AC.
I love hearing all of the interesting facts and the drone footage is excellent. That NS 3483 has put a lot of hours into the Southern Tier line in New York as well. I've seen that locomotive many times in the past. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome info AC !!
Muy buen video Like merecido 😊
The way to upgrade the 645 units to really cut emissions and fuel usage is 710 swaps. A V12 710 makes 3300HP while a V8 makes 2200HP. NS had been the primary one doing this
The GP40-2 history is exciting… Here in Utah I still see them switching in the Ogden Yard for Union Pacific. In fact any SD standard cab is a thrill, the NS high hoods were too good to be true…. Going, going gone. Thanks AC.
Milwaukee made it to Louisville(I caught a Milw. train crossing the OHIO in 1980)via trackage rights.
Look at an old map of the Milw. and you will see that the real objective of the Milw. was Cincinnati, which they almost accomplished.
Milw. was just 57 miles from Cincinnati.
What town is this
I had not heard the term Spongebob Square cab. I hate those things. They are an abomination to all that is good about the 40 series
