When I was 13-14(I forgot), at a popular anime convention I had a dude sit next to me when I was alone in the back room of a anime seeing I branched off if my old friend group cause we all had different things we wanted to do. This dude was quiet for awhile, he started asking me questions, my name, if I like anime, slowly getting more personal every few minutes. I hunored him thinking he was awkward, the room was dark. Then after a pause I looked at him, he was older, like 20 lookin, just shorter. I then put together he was texring on his phone once or twice like he was getting prompts. Then he asked me age and if I was alone, I forgot what my response was but I just got up and left. Just to add onto “the Sea People” they weren’t just a blip because they actually were probably what caused the Bronze Age collapse. Which saw Egypt, the Hitties and others lose there great empires and trade routes. The sea people started a literal dark age.
That's the simplified and probably outdated version of this theory. Many contemporary scholars believe that the sea peoples were one of many factors among others (such as famine, draughts, volcanic eruptions, economical and political crises, etc.), and were possibly even themselves just victims of whatever caused the so called Bronze Age Collapse, and that they originally went to Egypt, Anatolia, and the Levant as refugees rather than as conquerors or pillagers. They also weren't one unified people, but a conglomeration of several ethnically and linguistically diverse peoples, who probably came from all over the Mediterranean islands and costal regions.
@@suranumitu7734 Yeah exactly. History RUclipsr Epimetheus made an interesting video about who they were and where they came from, and his videos about Bronze Age civilizations and the collape of the Bronze Age are quite interesting.
@@suranumitu7734 Theories are always being updated. Probably in 40 years the Sea Peoples will once again be seen as the driving force behind the Bronze Age collapse. Twenty years after that, it'll be javelins, then earthquakes again.
The dolphin one is absolutely true. They even understand syntax, it’s so sad we keep intelligent creatures (apes too) in confinement, you can see them become legitimately depressed

The Black Hope Curse sounds more like a regular old ghost story more than a conspiracy theory. Makes me wonder where folklore ends and conspiracy begins...
Conspiracy is just reading folklore without your glasses on. So many conspiracy theories are just conclusions jumped to by theorists who don't get all their facts in order before they start making baseless claims.
For example i feel the same about "himalayan zombies". Just some local folklore thing. Only interesting part beyond that i think is that the local tour guides seem to warn people about them, and make it seem they exist. That in all honestly might just be these guy messing with the tourists for fun. Back in the day i think australians even had legend made up just to mess with tourists "drop bear" basicly bear like small creature that will drop from trees on to you if you walk under them, and they said something silly for tourists to do for protection against the dangerous "drop bear".

The comic-con theory is similar to one about the Kentucky Derby. So. Many. People. get trafficked during the derby every year it's insane. It's considered to be the second most popular major event for human trafficking in the country, after the Super Bowl. In 2019, the last time that the derby happened in person (in 2020 they didn't have the fans), reports came out saying that it was really bad, with survivor testimonies as to how big the ring is and how bad it is at the derby, but then there were lots of other reports saying not to worry about it. Even the jockeys have been accused of and convicted for human trafficking. People don't really talk about it a lot, and Triple Crown doesn't really talk about it or make statements on it, so it's really concerning. Also, to comment on the Ky meat shower: I'm not surprised... have you seen mid-west weather?!! XD It snows one day and its 80 the next day, it's the wildest thing.
As a Kentuckian that lives near Louisville, the Kentucky Meat Shower is one of my favorite random things to tell people about. I didn’t know about the derby though. 🤔 most the people that live here have never been and only have a party on derby day just for the sake of partying and gambling.
So this is super true. I work as a front desk agent for hilton, since the superbowl was in our town, we had to take super intensive courses on how to spot and prevent human trafficking. Its crazy.
as someone who lives in kentucky, this state is a fucking cryptid lol the human trafficking thing would explain why even though i could probably get discounted tickets (my dad does camera stuff), i've never been to the derby. maybe my parents are just worried about that. meat shower is just plain weird tbh, i dont remember if it's ever been explained
the comic con one makes me extremely sad. as an avid cosplayer and con attender,, I couldn't imagine taking pictures with a kid in cosplay to only find out that they were kidnapped. absolutely breaks my heart
WAIT! I might know what Nexus 7 is. In Blade Runner (and in the original Book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep), the Replicants/Androids that were nearly indistinguishable from humans were Nexus 6 models. In the film Blade Runner, the character of Rachael who had implanted memories, while not explicitly called such, is often believed to be a Nexus 7, the next evolution of Replicant technology. (Blade Runner 2049 all but confirms this by having her serial number start with N7).
@eureka_7479 Possibly? Or it could just be talking about the theory among Blade Runner Fans that Deckard is a Nexus 7, and whoever was compiling the Iceberg included it because it is, by definition, a conspiracy theory, albeit one from a film rather than real life.
The Kentucky meat shower was most likely vultures, who often vomit when stressed to be able to escape faster. Something happened around a large group of vultures which cause them to all begin projectile vomiting. The cause of a the vomiting is unknown, but not too hard to guess.

I lived in Murfreesboro, TN for a while. The Battle of Stones River (one of the bloodiest Civil War battles, some 20,000 total casualties) took place there. Part of the actual battlefield is built over now, and part is still preserved as a field, cemetery, and preserved monuments. Sometimes a deep fog rolls over and people hear gunshots and screams.
I was actually in a dnd campaign that had the "plateaus are petrified tree stumps, and all trees on earth are not fully grown" conspiracy as its basis. (If theres a more concise name for this theory please let me know.)
8:35 this one has absolutely no backing, snow can last a while, especially when it’s densely packed from things such as snow plows clearing parking lots into just a few large piles, and actually does char before it melts when exposed to flames. You can try it if there’s any snow around, just about all snow does this, and it’s more common and more noticeable in polluted snow
Pure snow should not char. If the snow would be pure it would be like pure water, and there is nothing to char. Its either from residue of the flame you use to melt it or more likely pollution. In every where outside of complete wilderness there will be pollution on the snow from cars, and so on.
The sea people is actually an incredibly interesting factor in the bronze age collapse, which I would highly recommend reading up on. - thank you so much for not calling them litteral fish people. The most that we know about them comes from Egypt, mainly monuments about their defeat. They had ravaged other bronze age civilizations, such as Minoa (and I believe the syrians?), and were only stopped by Egypt. Now it's important to note that these monuments were made to glorify the victory, and commissioned by the pharaoh at the time - so bronze age propaganda and therefore can't be taken at face value. The main theory is that they were a band of mercenaries from the north, who gained strength through recruitment as they went. There were a lot of wars going on at the time, backed by ravaging famines. So mercenaries were pricy, and extremely hard to pay. Egypt however, was pretty rich and would have been worth plundering to make up for the lack of mercenary pay. But yeah main point -ths sea peoples contributed greatly to the bronze age collapse which is the closest humanity has seen to an apocalypse probably ever. It's been a while since I read any of my sources though so take this comment with a grain of salt.
"But yeah main point -ths sea peoples contributed greatly to the bronze age collapse which is the closest humanity has seen to an apocalypse probably ever." Uhmmm you know people existed outside of europe, north africa and the middle east right?
@@BibleStorm oh yeah for sure. At the time China had hands down the most advanced bronze casting techniques and were basically unaffected by the whole thing. I don't remember my history well enough to remember exactly what they were going through at the time but I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with it. That being said, a handful of powerhouse civs collapsing all at once and leaving a previously flourishing area absolutely desolate by war and famines and power vacuums is still pretty apocalyptic. I didn't bring up litterally everyone else because this one phenomenon just didn't effect them. Like sorry for not discussing what was happening in Mezoamerica when I made a RUclips comment about the bronze age collapse, a phenomenon centered around the Mediterranean.
@@AdrielClaflin Well you did compare the disappearance of some Mediterranean cultures to "the apocalypse". Perhaps you understand my confusion regarding your choice of wording.

So the Gettysburg elevator story actually occurred in Penn Hall (now the college's administration building) which was used as a hospital during the battle. Standard medical practice for the day was that if you got shot in a limb, the limb was amputated, and they regularly just threw the limbs out the window, in this case onto a grassy lawn now known as Stein Lake; it's not an actual lake, but the limbs were later buried and decomposed below ground, and every time it rained, the ground would collapse a little more and the lawn would flood.
The Titanic one has been debunked for a while. On the wreck the propeller has a yard number of 401, which was the Titanic's yard number, whereas the Olympic's yard number was 400. This number was stamped on every part of the ships (since they were nearly identical they had to make sure the parts weren't mixed up).
just started watching your videos the other day and i love them so much. i’m watching this series now and i already know i’m gonna binge it multiple times!
The "black" snow happens when dirty fuel, ie that from a common lighter, leaves soot on the snow because the flame isn't hot enough to melt the snow faster than said soot can accumulate. Try using a butane/propane torch. That snow is normal snow. There are many kinds of natural snow that would also melt at different rates due to many many many weather conditions and other natural factors.

Hermeneutics is actually a discipline in historical fields wich can be described as "the science of interpretation". It's just a methodology to correctly interpret ancient texts. that implies serching for the historical context of the text, ideas commonly discussed in those times, possible reasons on why that text was written etc. There are different approaches to hermeneutics which can be kinda weird (like the phenomenological aproach) but effective nontheless. I had a semester of hermeneutics at University and it was fun idk why this is in an iceberg. Good video tho
I was confused as well, like, hermeneutics has nothing to do with conspiracy theories, it's just a concept in philosophy and literary studies. Maybe they confused it with hermetics, which is a branch of ancient esotericism that heavily influenced modern schools of magic and occultism.

The guard at the door who's supposed to watch the room was on the phone, outside the door non shalauntly I just had a panic attack while pacing the building making sure I didn't see him or anyone looking for me or at me with intent.

The Black Hope Curse sounds more like a regular old ghost story more than a conspiracy theory. Makes me wonder where folklore ends and conspiracy begins...
That's what I was thinking honesyly
Perhaps they are not mutually exclusive 🤔 I mean lots of conspiracy theory have supernatural/paranormal undertones or just plain freaky shizz 😎
Conspiracy is just reading folklore without your glasses on. So many conspiracy theories are just conclusions jumped to by theorists who don't get all their facts in order before they start making baseless claims.
A bunch of these are just philosophy and/or religious, not necessarily conspiracy either.

Its crazy.
as someone who lives in kentucky, this state is a fucking cryptid lol
the human trafficking thing would explain why even though i could probably get discounted tickets (my dad does camera stuff), i've never been to the derby. maybe my parents are just worried about that.

(Blade Runner 2049 all but confirms this by having her serial number start with N7).
try something likes the aghan spy machine darpa tried making arnd 2011 called nexus 7 wih i feel like makes a liiiiiittle more sense
So the theory may be that AI / artificial life will blend in with us or is already?
@eureka_7479 Possibly? Or it could just be talking about the theory among Blade Runner Fans that Deckard is a Nexus 7, and whoever was compiling the Iceberg included it because it is, by definition, a conspiracy theory, albeit one from a film rather than real life.
The Kentucky meat shower was most likely vultures, who often vomit when stressed to be able to escape faster. Something happened around a large group of vultures which cause them to all begin projectile vomiting. The cause of a the vomiting is unknown, but not too hard to guess.

I think, the char is just residue from the fuel of the lighter.
Yeah, there are always piles of snow around even when it’s been 70° for a few days. It’s resilient when it’s clumped together.
Yeah it’s def polluted snow, or possibly snow mixed with some crop dustings, since it apparently occurs most often in the Midwest.

"But yeah main point -ths sea peoples contributed greatly to the bronze age collapse which is the closest humanity has seen to an apocalypse probably ever."
