I just got one of these to practice my new hobby of taking mechanical watches apart and then sometimes getting them back together. I got some advice to stop working on old wrecked movements and order a cheap new watch to learn on. I ordered this very watch and I really like it. I put it on a telegrapher and got amazing results. 0 s/d, 288 amp, 0.1 ms error. Incredible. If I take it apart and properly lubricate it, I would not expect such good results so now I am not sure what to do, but I really do like this watch.
Here is an update. I purchased with watch from Winner about 16 months ago. It has been out of my regular rotation for a while. I pulled it out this morning , set the date and time and popped it on wrist. Its working like a champ for now. Thanks for the great review, Cheers!
I have 3 Winner watches. A skeleton, a Rolex sub and a Deville homage and all keep perfect time after I regulated them. I have had them a few years now and they have helped me understand mechanical watches.. Total cost for all 3 £35.
Bought this as a result of your review......so far pretty amazing....and accurate for the money. Hand wind, crown in, movement is jeweled, crystal is mineral. Put it on a NATO and I like what I see. Thanks again.
I just bought one and I’m pretty impressed the quality is good, keeps good time, and is a very affordable piece. With the price being so low you can’t go wrong and you might even surprise yourself.
I bought this watch awhile ago and finally got a decent strap for it.The original strap broke the first time I put it on.So far it runs really well Ive been using it for about a week.
I've had the Submariner diver style Winner automatic watch for almost a year now. I put a decent leather strap on it look and it keeps very good time. For $20-$25 they are a good bargain and fun to wear.
I bought this watch about 1 year ago and it keeps great time ! I can't find a thing wrong with it so far it's on a nato strap I don't wear it much but for under twenty bucks I can't complain good watch for the grand kids
Winner and Jaragar are the same company. Fanmis is just a supplier. I've found that Winner brand, like most cheap Chinese automatic watches, are fairly accurate, however the rotors do not spin freely enough to wind the watch. For the price though, they're actually not bad watches if you don't mind hand winding them daily. I've found that Vostok watches are the best watch value on the market today in my opinion. The Vostok Komandirskie is below 50 bucks, and the Amphitia (diver watch) is around 80 bucks. Both have screw down stem and backs, so even the Komandirskie can be used to swim with without worry. Vostoks are touted as being the most rugged watches on the planet, and I do believe that claim. Good review on the Winner, thank you.
Mine arrived today. It was $18 Canadian shipped. It's impressively nice; I may order another. Your video helped me to figure out how to set the date, as it has that delay before it starts moving. Thanks !!
I impulse bought a black Winner Invicta master homage on Tomtop for $7 dollars and it's been awesome! Having had it about two months now and it's been nothing but good, even the automatic winding works but you do need to hand wind it a bit every week. As far as accuracy, it is about minus a minute a week after calibration which is amazing for something so cheap, like you said, it's scary how good China can make a cheap watch.
When I first got into collecting watches I went crazy over these winner and jaragar watches I learned really quick after every single one I got fell apart within a week of receiving them some were even DOA I got with Seiko's an orients and never looked back I'm not a watch snob very good for 20 bucks and they were fun 😊
I have a winner subby lòokalike , I paid $16 for it, automatic with a date complication terrible lume but it does have some. I. Got it 8 yrs ago or thereabouts, and it's still runs 🤯
Did you try winding it while the crown was pushed all the way in? No watch that I know of handwinds in the first click position. Usually the watch will wind when the crown is all the way in... If you look at the instructions the watch says "winding". They could mean automatic wind, but still I'm not sure if you tried manually winding it correctly.
MAVERICK WATCH REVIEWS Fair enough! Thanks for the content. As a fellow watch reviewer, I wish you the best of luck on RUclips and keep the videos coming.
In addition to a "TGV Tax" now I'll probably start having to deal with a "Mav's Dad Tax" too! ;) My students have learned that I'm into watches and they're beginning to develop an interest too. I'll definitely pick up of few of these Fanmis Automatics for them. Thanks for the lead!
''Can´t do on MY** seiko 5''. Seiko 5 has different versions and different qualities, the most basic versions use the caliber 7s26 that exactly as you said don´t have this feature, but... the sport series and a lot of models of seiko 5 use the 4R36A who allows you stop the second hand and handwind it. The movement for the more is not only cheap, it´s very accurate, and works great. Is not so far from this ETA movement at all, cause it´s just a ETA standard caliber.
Tnx for the review. Few days ago I have ordered the same one with the metal bracelet, still waiting, but tnx too you I know a little better what to expect
China actually bought these watches, the factory and the rights, so... NOT a knock-off, knock - off are american rockets, copied from the germans, or english porcelain, copied from china..
I've got two Military Royale watches which I've fitted with nato straps. I regard them as worry free toys, not bothered about being robbed. The accuracy is amazing for the price but I don't trust the rotors so I hand wind.
They’re pretty cool. The date function ones a pain in the arse. I have one that’s only off by about 11 seconds a day. They look okay and you can beat the absolute shit out of them.
If you don't beat the hell out of them and actually take care of them, their amazing, and regulated and cleaned can be extremely accurate too. The date function slop is actually a feature not a bug, so you don't accidentally start setting the date when you want to set the time, if the hands don't move right away you're in date, pull the crown out more! :)
Am buying this watch the other day just because the price is unbelievably cheap for an automatic watch, but still, am having thought is it worth my penny or not..but now i know, looklike its pretty decent watch.. thanks to your upload man,Cant wait for the unit to finally arrived.. Think am gonna subscribed you man..😊
I've got one. There's little reserve it has to be wound before bed 8 hrs or it stops. It doesn't like or act like what you paid for . its a Fanmis watch. It's a knock around pilot watch.22$ now Canadian. Someone must have decided to do a watch they could be proud of with their budget. I don't make fun of it. I'm happier with my Seiko 5 325 though.
Looks like you're off to a great start! I do have a few watches for sale if you're looking to expand your collection: Pantor - Sea Lion, TOCKR - Air Defender and a Thomas Earnshaw - Longcase.
I've bought my Winner watch nearly 10 years ago for $21 and it's still working fine.

Ha! I've just done the same thing, old junkers on ebay were 4x the price.

Still operating correctly?

It does look pretty good for the money 👍
I was really shocked as well :)
Glad for your review it under $20 on Amazon even with shipping added. Wow !! that makes it a Winner alone, lol.☺
Please keep making Chinese watch reviews.
There is winding when you turn it without popping the crown

That Vostok (www.amazon.com/Vostok-Komandirskie-Military-Russian-Commander/dp/B00VNTBAHY) is good looking and a brand I hadn't seen. Thanks, pal.
Parnis is a great deal too...If you don't mind homage watches
Mine arrived today. It was $18 Canadian shipped. It's impressively nice; I may order another. Your video helped me to figure out how to set the date, as it has that delay before it starts moving. Thanks !!
That delay is intentional, so you don't start setting the date when you want to set the time, if the hands don't move pull the crown out more! :)

do you use the watch regularly??
I'm new to automatic watches and have this one on the way, it will make auto #2 for me. With my Invicta 80093 automatic Pro Diver
Sheesh actually not bad for the price. Loved this one. Cheers:)
ACTUALLY I'M IMPRESSED!,1-19-19,how is it holding up.

I tried but couldn't tell because the crown was so dang small...lol.

My pleasure sir!
this watch handwinds with the crown pushed all the way in.
Can't do that on Seiko 5.

Yes it does
i want this watch, will it be shipped for india
Tnx for the review.

I "Liked" the video before even watching it! lol. Awesome topic-thanks!!!
Soooo what was the wind position?
crown fully in, it's both automatic and hand wind.
You can wind it up with the crown pushed in. All these cheap chinese automatics are like that. This watch is very popular on the facebook groups.
Thanks :)
Can confirm that the Tevise T801A Submariner Hulk alike I bought recently also hand winds with the crown pushed in. 😉
China actually bought these watches, the factory and the rights, so... NOT a knock-off, knock - off are american rockets, copied from the germans, or english porcelain, copied from china..
They're definitely knock-offs. Thanks for watching!

They do enjoy a good beating :)

Have this watch..... Looks nice, doesn't keep time!!!!! Stops like after two hrs ....
it'd look really good on a nato.
Would like to see review on Hamilton Ventura clone.
is it still working as of 6-7-2018?
If he wasn't rough with it or taken it under water, it probably still works fine. :)
Impressive for 18U$D... Still, I'd rather get an entry level Seiko.
Hey brother you should have done an accuracy test with this watch.
Why?
So we know how accurate this budget watch is. It is a watch after all. Thanks!
Lol...how accurate do you think a $18 automatic knockoff watch from China is going to be? It is an incredibly cheap watch after all. Thanks!
Just for curiosities sake.
Keep up the good work!
No water resistance? The instructions do claim hand winding btw and "be carefully! Do not pull out excessively" lol
I saw that too...lol.
i had one like this but in a white face, but the rotor in the back broke off after wearing it one and i just chucked it at the wall.
Anger issues?...lol.
didnt even put a mark on the wall, just disinigrated on impact.
Winner is made by forsining, they also make Jaguar
I bought a "submariner" Winner watch and it broke after 2 days
Are you suprised?
MAVERICK WATCH REVIEWS not at all 😂
Welcome Back Sir. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your beloved family. Cheers
I did and right back at ya sir! Still wondering why you're not subscribed to me on Patreon though(hint hint)
They probably call it the mk15 so they can't get sued for imitating the mk18 .
Am buying this watch the other day just because the price is unbelievably cheap for an automatic watch, but still, am having thought is it worth my penny or not..but now i know, looklike its pretty decent watch.. thanks to your upload man,Cant wait for the unit to finally arrived..
Think am gonna subscribed you man..😊
I have one but black and gold all stainless steel and Fanmis and Biden and more.. All automatic watches less then 40$$
Why no direct link to the watch?
Because they're garbage :)
@@maverickwatchreviews That's not what you're saying in the review?
It's not bad but still garbage.
I will be pleased if u review tissot t touch solar watch pls
It's coming up for the beginning of next year so stay tuned and thanks for watching :)
MAVERICK WATCH REVIEWS t touch solar is overpriced imo, I mean it has so many useless features. Better off with a gshock
I've thought this as well but man they're still really cool.
lume?,at least your flashlight works
No lume
back wind hacking when on
low power
Pilot dial with dressy hands-such a thing can be done only from chinese. The date window is stupid too-too big.
And they do break and no US jeweler will repair them!
why not?
It would cost more to repair than to buy a new one.
I've got one. There's little reserve it has to be wound before bed 8 hrs or it stops. It doesn't like or act like what you paid for . its a Fanmis watch. The only Winner here is you Mav! I got a $15 naviforce this year, damned if I don't love that cheap piece of Oriental crap.
Our heart wants what it wants...lol.
